History
Established in 1981.
London’s Automotive has a long history of serving the Philomath and Corvallis communities with trusted auto repair and quality customer care. Dean London first opened Philomath Motors in the late 1970s before moving the shop to Circle Blvd around 1980 and renaming it London’s Automotive, Inc. In 1981, he purchased the current location, where the business has proudly remained for more than three decades. Many longtime customers still remember Dean for his gold Cadillac, his pipe, and, most importantly, his reputation for honest, dependable service. In January 2002, Bob Thayer purchased the shop and has continued to carry forward that same tradition of excellent customer service while also guiding the business into the future. At London’s, we prioritize ongoing training for our technicians and invest in state-of-the-art equipment so we can keep up with the latest vehicle technology, modern repair techniques, and preventative maintenance services that keep our customers safe on the road.
Meet the Business Owner: Bob T.
I purchased London’s Automotive Inc. in January 2001 after working for the previous owner, Dean London, for nearly five years. Dean’s focus on putting customers first and standing behind his work set a high standard that we continue today. With over 30 years as a technician, including experience in sprint cars, stock cars, drag racing, and ATVs, I enjoy engine building across all types of vehicles. I hold ASE Master certifications as a Master Automotive Technician and Master Engine Machinist and am pursuing a Master Diesel Technician certificate. At London’s Automotive, our team provides reliable, high-quality service and ensures your vehicle is cared for before, during, and after every repair.
