Ken: Do you work on EGO 21 inch electric self propelled mowers?Mine has power to the lights and the battery is good but motor won't run.

I currently do not service electric powered lawn equipment, due to repair parts availability and the lack of service information for this type of equipment.

No I am not located in Oak Hill, I am based in Pflugerville. You might be thinking of Frank or Mike with Mobile Mower. They retired and moved away from the Oak Hill area.

Sorry, but I do not have any place to store equipment so I do not purchase any or sell any equipment. I am strictly a service business. Thank you for the offer.

And for some reason, it kept blowing the air cleaner cover off. I called Mr. Raine and described my issues. He assured me he could fix it. I hopped in my truck and drove up to his home shop in Leander. He greeted me right away and told me you can pick it up later today. Sure enough, he was true to his word. When I arrived, he described what he did to the lawnmower. Replacing the carburetor, sharpening the blades, draining the fuel tank. An overall check up. I cut my grass yesterday. With absolutely no issues. He did recommend that I replace the blade. And of course Amazon had something delivered the next day. Honda makes such a great product and it's rare in this day and age when something can actually be repaired. Mr. Raine is a solid, stand-up guy. True to his word. And he even gave me a guarantee/warranty till the end of the year. Said if anything comes up, just bring it back and we'll get you fixed up. I had previously tried a neighborhood lawn mower repair shop. It was money down the drain. If you have any issues with your lawnmower. Give Mr. Raine a call. He will get you set up. To say that this small business is the best is a severe understatement!…read more Mowers and more is fast and reliable. I had issues with not one but two mowers. Don't ask long story. They came to my home. Evaluated both, fixed one (I had crappy gas in it!) and ordered parts for the other. Very knowledgeable and extremely friendly. In a world where customer service is not a priority, this company helps restores my faith in community. Thank you both for helping out!

My intent is not to be malicious, but this is 100% my honest review of my experience. If you had a…read moregood experience, awesome, but this was mine. If the owner replies to this review claiming they have no record of working with me, it is a lie. Here is the reality of my four-month, $1,400+ experience with Mowers And More. It started in April with a $210 diagnostic and a $500 PTO clutch replacement that did not solve the issue. They then said I needed a wiring harness. What followed was a frustrating series of delayed appointments. I was incredibly patient and accommodating through all of this, including reschedules for when the owner was hospitalized, and another time when they had to reschedule and couldn't show up because it was very hot that day and they got overheated at their earlier jobs. When they finally showed up weeks later, they realized they forgot to order the necessary PTO switch. They hadn't checked their inventory and blamed an 'AI ordering system' instead of taking accountability. Worse, during the install, they actually blew a solenoid, leaving my mower completely dead and unable to even crank. They had to make another trip just to fix the solenoid they broke. Literally before this entire ordeal, my mower cranked up just fine. Sitting idle for months waiting for their delayed repairs is more than likely what contributed to the fuel issues, not the 'wrong gas' that the owner later tried to claim. During that visit, they drained the fuel system, put on a new filter, and got it running on starting fluid just long enough to claim the PTO worked. They told me my carburetor was 'gross' and that I needed a new one. At this point, I was completely fed up. I told them I would just handle the fuel system myself because I wanted them gone. I never intended to not pay them. However, I clearly communicated that I wanted to get the mower running first so I could personally verify their electrical work. I couldn't just take their word for it. Instead of being understanding, he claimed, 'We did the work you hired us for,' and demanded the $720 final payment for a machine that still wouldn't stay running. I held my ground and refused to pay until I knew the machine worked. I am not a professional mechanic, but I took over, put on a new fuel pump, cleaned my old carburetor (I didn't even need the new one they claimed I did), replaced a single fuel line to the tank, and boom, it fired right up and cut the front yard perfectly. Only after I got it running myself did I go ahead and pay the invoice in full even though I feel like I shouldn't have, just to wash my hands of them and close the account for good. The owner likes to brag that they just won a local repair award. When confronted about this terrible service, he made excuses about how hard the parts supply chain is right now and claimed I 'have no idea' what it is like to run a "repair" business. It is incredibly ironic, especially when my entire career has been building companies in Home Services and Tech. The reality of running any business is that backend logistical issues happen, but it is your job as an owner to manage that chaos so the customer doesn't feel it. Save your time and money and find a true professional.

Here goes. To put simply. This place sucks! Took in two Echo…read moreCS370's because I couldn't get them to run correctly after changing spark plug etc myself. Told them I didn't want to spend more than $200 total but was ok spending that much if both saws ran like near new again. They verbally said total should be around $125 unless something was really bad. So 3 weeks after they said they should be done they said one was finished. It's total was $98. Then I'm told they could work on the other saw because the handle was broke so I agreed to let them fix it. No biggie as handle is under $35. When that saw was done it was $132. Here's where it gets good. The one saw is missing the oiler screw that I thought they were going to fix. Nope. The pull rope doesn't go all the way back in. Didn't look at that either. So WTF did they do? They "looked" over the entire saw and changed the spark plug and gas filter. That's it. So for not $125 but for $230 I basically got a new handle. I can change the spark plug in 2 minutes myself. And how the crap does a chainsaw repair shop NOT see the oiler screw completely missing, do they not test the saws for proper lubrication? I for sure thought they changed a carburetor (or both). Or at minimum had to adjust the carbs. Not sure how one can charge that much to change 2 spark plugs and 2 gas filters on a freaking chainsaw with a straight face.

Well now I know why they have such a bad review here. I have gotten work from them before and I…read moreguess I got to give them credit for fixing an item but you are only as good as your experiences and so my second time here to come and pick up an item, I waited 10 minutes until I just walked out. I walked in to pick up an item that they called me and told me it is ready. I walk in and a guy had just jumped out of his truck right before me so unfortunately he gets to be first, the guy at the counter says I'll be with you while he's working with someone else, because of smartphones yes I can let the 8 minutes, the 9 minutes past and then I look down and realize I am at 10 minutes plus. Now they didn't say anything to me during that time, like hey another minute. So I left and I will come back and pick up my chainsaw but this is ridiculous. Here's what you got to do when it comes to customer service if you guys really care about your Google and your Yelp review rating, if the customer you are helping has taken 10 minutes and you think that it is going to take longer, address me and find out what it is that I need perhaps mine will take 30 seconds, take the $18 that I owe you, give me my chainsaw and get me out of there. Focusing in on just the one customer in front of you allows this review, allows my situation to happen. I did hear other people in the back and the guy at front at a minimum should have called for help. I've worked across different industries and customer service has been included in that I can tell you if you told a customer who saw me waiting for 10 minutes behind them, give me a couple seconds to get this guy out of here and then we will finish with you especially since it looks like yours may take another 10 or 15 minutes. That did not happen, no I don't want to talk to a manager you guys don't have to try to reach out to me after the fact, you already know that your Yelp rating is a one star I'm pretty sure you should work to improve that and this kind of thing would not happen.

Instead, there was a charge even though it was going to be two to three weeks before my mower could even be looked at. One of their employees told me it was just like at a hotel for incidentals. That's not how they do it at hotels, they put a hold, and he insisted that I was wrong about that too. They gave me excuse after excuse before even looking at the mower as to why the repair wouldn't be covered under warranty, including trying to claim that the problem was old gas (the gas had been in the mower for about 6 weeks with a stabilizer). Then they said it was probably the carburetor which also wouldn't be covered. Then they told me after they had charged the $200 that if they even looked at the mower there would be a $68 charge whether they did the work or not. They finally told me to just come get the mower.
