I have been here on several occasions with good results. I called yesterday to make a nail appointment with a specific individual. I was given the appointment time of 11am. When I arrived, he was busy with a customer. Not a problem. I looked at the colors. While doing so, an employee came and took me to another area. The person with whom I had the appointment came in and said he would be done in 10 minutes. Fine. When I had been there 30 minutes and no sign of him, I gathered up my things, advised them I couldn't wait due to other commitments & left. A bit disappointed in this place. The gentleman who did my nails was nice but he kept pushing a pedicure and I only wanted a gel manicure. He asked four times. He pulled out an extremely dirty plastic box with his nail tools in it and pulled out nippers. I asked him to use sterilized tools and he didn't understand what I was saying. He finally sprayed the nippers with alcohol and kept working. I should've left but instead I stayed and had three of my cuticles cut. One didn't stop bleeding and he just painted the nail anyway and there was dried blood under my nail. When I asked him to fix one of my broken nails he nipped the side of my finger instead. There was a definite language barrier but that didn't brother me as much as the filthy tools especially during a pandemic. I won't be returning. read more

All workers are extremely friendly and the options to choose from for your pedicure are awesome! They are always busy which is a good thing because you know they aren't going to do a bad job! It's rare for me to find a place that can do gel nails on me that last a full 2 weeks without starting to lift at the cuticles (which then gets caught in my hair when I shower) and I've been told I have wonky cuticles that cause the polish to lift early. Welp, color me delighted. I've had 2 gel pedicures and 1 gel manicure here, and it's the longest lasting manicure I've ever had. It stayed looking flawless the full 2 weeks. Even better, I've had zero issues walking in without an appointment on busy weekends. The prices are fair, and the staff are above average friendly and professional. Same staff, same great service and that's why I continue to come back. It's officially been over 8 year that Ive been going to kens and i can't see myself Going anywhere else. I have been to plenty of expensive scottsdale salons, and so have many of my friends ( whom i have dragged here)... we always come back to kens. I beat my hands up because I'm a bartender, so having Clean nails is my job. They last a long time, strong and beautiful colors! Horrible. Anna did my gel mani and the photos speak for themselves. I came in and the first nail tech asked if I had dip powder on my nails, I say no. She argued with me and I told her again, NO, I have gel nails with acrylic. Apparently this was a big issue because she left and they brought Anna over. I told her several times I wanted them shorter because I knew I wasn't going to be able to get them done in a while and needed them to last. She kept insisting on keeping the length so whatever, at this point I just wanted to get out of there. I asked for OPI Put it in Neutral. She begins to polish and it's not that color. She takes it off. Comes back with Bubble Bath. I'm like ok, fine, close enough. Then she starts putting on French tips... um!? I told her I didn't want any design, just the solid color all over the nail. Again, argued with me. So I say ok, again, just wanted to get out of there!!! I respect the hustle but at least do a good job on it. I laughed at how horrible my nails were when I was paying and walked to my car. I had acrylic all over my fingers and hands even after trying to scrub it off at their sink with the brush. None of the white tips were even and was SO thick. The shape is awful. The sides of the nails aren't even covered with polish completely. Save your time and don't go here. read more

I used to love this place but my experience today made me decide to not come back. Most of my favorite people are gone but besides that I waited two hours today. I had a 1pm appointment and only managed to get a pedicure in those two hours. That guy was nice. Younger guy with a ponytail. I have been coming here for so long. But as I sat there watching other people getting their nails started before me I felt like someone they didn't care about. I arrived at 9:28 sat in the front after picking a color. 10 minutes past twenty minutes past thirty minutes past and I was still sitting in the front so I asked them how long it would be to my appointment. They did not start on my nails until 10:30. This is the third time I've gone to the salon. The first time my nails started shipping within a week. I did call and they did fix my nails but that was me coming and spending another hour and a half there. I also was cut multiple places on my skin that hurt for days....
