Before I started going to Colorbox, I actually went to her other salon location in Arcadia for years, but switched to Colorbox within the last year because it is closer to me. Jayson also does an amazing job at helping manage the salon. He is so friendly, attentive and is an amazing tech! I had to repeatedly ask the technician to smooth them out because she was rushing to get to her next client, and I still left with bumpy, poorly done nails. Six days later, multiple nails were popping off. I went back expecting them to stand behind their work, but instead they refused to fix them unless I paid for another full set, offering only 20% off. To make it worse, they tried to blame me by saying I should have gotten a new set the week before. I never asked for a fill. The technician saw that I needed a full set and chose to do a fill anyway because she was in a rush. Then, when her rushed work failed in less than a week, they refused to take responsibility. I had them remove the nails and left. Save yourself the headache and go to Biltmore Nails instead. It's less than a mile away, less expensive, the quality is far better, and they actually stand behind their work.

The pedicure is relaxing and the massage chairs are clutch. The ladies are honest with me when I ask if I have callouses etc. I never feel like I'm being ripped off. They have good availability, even same day and walk in. They always offer water and are so incredibly nice. I always like the job they do on my nails.

I have a feeling this is my new go-to place when I need a pedicure in the future. I only was planning on a Basic Pedicure service today, which included nail and cuticle care, massage, hot stone and towel, and polish (though I did not need the polish). There was an add-on for exfoliation scrub or callus care if I wanted either, and also an extra cost for gel polish. The Desert Pedicure includes both the exfoliation scrub and callus care in addition to the basic pedicure. The Desert Deluxe Pedicure includes the Desert Pedicure plus rejuvenating cooling masque and extended massage. The DNS Ultimate Pedicure includes the Desert Deluxe Pedicure plus refreshed & revitalized (infused with organic virgin olive oil deeply hydrate and soothe skin), detoxifying sea salt soak, callus remover gel, exfoliating sugar scrub, nourishing gel masque, hydrate cucumber treatment, and silky butter cream. For today, I stuck with the basic pedicure though I may try an add-on in the future. When I sat down in a chair to soak my feet, I was offered a still or sparkling water. There was a nice ambiance with soothing music, and I was sitting in a massage chair. There were fun nail or nail polish related quotes on the wall. My nail tech checked on how I was doing throughout. There were 14 people being worked on at a time, which was impressive, yet there were many empty chairs, so they could work on a lot more. I saw them put up special pillows for kids who were getting nail work done. I appreciated afterwards when I was paying that they had a 10% off promotion when paying with cash. The Desert Nail Spa has two nearby locations: Kierland (Greenway) and Tatum. hey are open on weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. They first opened in Tempe in 1998 and have expanded to other locations across the valley. They strive to integrate innovation into the nail salon industry. That's what I did, based off her recommendation, and the guy started clipping my REAL nails. I've been growing them out for 2 years now and was mortified. I stopped him after 4 clips and asked what he was doing. They offered a 5 dollar discount but still made me pay for gel x, never mentioned that it would be clipping nails, and I paid $95. I told her I was upset with the service that she recommended and didn't warn me it would be removing my actual nail. She was sweet and offered an extra 5 off but 2 weeks later they are already breaking. Sad to say, owner is very nice but will never return.

For one, everything is very neat and very tidy. The pedicure chairs are very recent, and stylish with glass footballs. I know it's a little thing, but it shows pride in ownership and the image the store wants to put out there. I will say, the basic men's pedicure is $33. That is about double of what I normally pay back in Southern California when I go. So I was eager to see what the extra money would get me. I will say this. My technician was really awesome. Sweet middle-aged Asian lady, who was very mindful to make this a pleasant experience. Some pedicure places get a little bit rough with the tools, she was very gentle, and dare I say loving as she was taking care of my feet. Pedicure for sure. I got to brag on the massage chairs. They seemed like they were updated and new. You know those massage chairs where you feel like someone is barely tapping your back? Not this one. This one felt like someone was actually rubbing out the knots in my back. I could have stayed there all day if they would have let me. The basic men's pedicure also included a foot and leg massage.. definitely not long enough, but what a great treat at the end of your pedicure. Bottom line? If I am ever back in Arizona in this area again this is going to be my go-to place to get my toenails done. You definitely owe it to yourself to go check this place out, you will not regret it!
