After a lot of thought, I had an appointment with Dan Able and found that my hearing had gotten worse and my hearing aids from Costco were no longer helping. I love the try before you buy. I wore the test aids for about ten days. I for the first time in my hearing problem that I could hear the wind in the trees, the clicker on the car turn signal and most importantly I could hear in a restaurant and converse like I used to Kenwood cares about the patient! When I realized it was time to check my hearing the first one I called was Kenwood Hearing Center on Mission Circle in Santa Rosa. I was instantly impressed by Martha and her upbeat, friendly, phone manner. She was also very knowledgeable and I decided this was where I wanted to go first. Dan, the audiologist that tested me was also very knowledgeable, friendly, and answered all my questions. More importantly to me, he took all the time I needed and I was never rushed. He recommended I try out different hearing aids to see what worked best for me. I ended up trying 5 different ones and there was never any pressure put on me, nor was I ever rushed. How rare is that! I found the one I liked and have been wearing it for 4 weeks now and its opened a new world of sound. I'm what you would call a "busy professional" and Kenwood Hearing Center has done an amazing job of making sure I can maintain my crazy 70-hour work-week as a psychologist and still get in for any support I need with my Phonak hearing aids! Martha at the front desk is an absolute magician when it comes to fitting me in with VERY short notice (even during Covid office restrictions), and Dr Auble is amazingly patient plus really knows his stuff! He knew which hearing aid to select that would work with my Samsung Note 9, and he can pair it up incredibly fast! And it turns out that the absolute best part of having hearing aids is that they work so great for streaming podcasts and taking phone calls from patients! I also love the rechargeable battery feature I selected along with the cool charging case! Bottom line: I knew that if I was going to make hearing aids work for me, I was going to have to have an office that provided me exceptional service; Kenwood Hearing Center has met my expectations and exceeded them! I can't write enough about how helpful the folks at Kenwood, Mission Circle, were to me, from cleaning out my ears to such a thorough explanation of the process, then the testing and finally, choosing the best hearing aid for me. Probably like many, my kids were encoring me to do this, I resisted, but am so glad I finally went. In my opinion Kenwood Hearing Center is far superior to any other company I have purchased hearing aids from. I have had a hearing problem for the last 15 years, and have gone to six audiologists in this time. When I went to these people I felt like I was talking to a car salesman. All they wanted to do is make a sale, and after the sale they were not excited anymore.(neither was I) After being very discouraged with my previous experiences with trying to find hearing aids that actually worked, I made an appointment at Kenwood Hearing Center. I was totally impressed right from the start with Bill Diles. What was refreshing for me right from the start was that he did not have the salesman attitude. I put off getting my hearing checked for years because I felt broken, embarrassed, option-less, and afraid of hearing aids. I finally got the courage to take the first step and come in for a free hearing test. I worked with Chalon Leonard, and she was absolutely amazing. She explained everything that was happening, how it worked, what the options were based on my needs and finances. Here I was, partially unable to hear out of both ears my whole life, imagining this horrible and daunting experience - and within minutes of meeting Chalon, it was solved. I felt so supported! The office itself is nice, comfortable, clean. There's even a keurig and some snacks in the reception area. And the receptionist is really sweet too. I met with Bill at the Petaluma office. The staff were attentive, courteous and ON TIME. I have been to several hearing specialists over the years, and my previous experience was that many of them want to "upsell" you to a particular brand for whatever reason. NOT HERE! I went in wanting to go for the Lyrics, which can be extremely expensive, and BIll explained that they were probably not going to make me happy. He then fitted me with another brand, by Unitron. Not the most expensive, not the least expensive, but MAN...THEY WORK! He told me to try em at home for a week, and if I didn't like them, we would try something else. I was home for an hour and had a small fitting issue, went right back down, he fixed it in 5 minutes. They are extremely accomodating, concerned for the patient, and geninuely seem to want to help you hear. My kids and wife are thrilled...so am I . I can hear!!! read more

I went into Kenwood today and had a great experience. I got tested-my hearing was pretty bad which I already knew. I was given hearing aids to test for two weeks to see if they worked for me.
