You could barely taste any p.butter flavor in those cookies - maybe they aren't using a high quality p.butter??. I think they all have a bit too much flour added to them - I just read on the p.butter that they use both bread flour and cake flour which would explain it and they all need a touch of salt. We finally made it back for a second visit today!!! I called yesterday and ordered the pies I wanted. This is a very small shop and she closes at noon on Saturday, I wasn't taking any chances of her being out of what we wanted before we took the hour ride to the pie shop. I ordered a total of 5 pies. I ordered a French meat pie, a Guinness beef pie, a chourico pie and a Portuguese roast pie (I wasn't sure what that is, but willing to try), I ordered them all frozen and ready to cook (they're in my freezer). Last time we tried the Guinness beef and French meat pies and they were both excellent! I also ordered a Bumbleberry pie which is a mixture of berries and it was delicious last time when we tried it. She had everything ready for us when we arrived this morning. The sweet pie was $11. and the savory pies were $12. each. Sweet As Pie makes great pies. You should check them out!
