Beautiful spot that seems very unsuspecting in a local neighborhood in Seattle. You can get an awesome skyline view of Seattle that really shines in the daytime or nighttime. It's not really a "park" per se, but more so a plot of land that perched high enough that it offers an excellent viewpoint of the surrounding area. Parking can get pretty tight here as there is traffic coming from both sides and there are definitely a lot of tourists and locals that love to come by and just relax and take pictures. When I visited on a cold Friday evening, there were some local students taking their prom group pictures which shows that this area doesn't get old at all. Whether walking by, to taking photos, or just sitting there perched on the "wall" to enjoy the serene beauty of the Seattle skyline, it's definitely a nice place to bring out of town visitors or just have a nice heart to heart with friends and family. read more

Wonderful view of the Seattle skyline from Queen Anne, and if you're lucky Mount Rainier will be out! I stopped by to watch the sunset and it was easy to get photos without other people in them if you go over to the edge of the railing and walk in front of it. There is a steep hill, but many people brought blankets and sat on the slope since the places on the benches and railing were taken at least an hour before sunset. Tiny spot ("park" is very much an exaggeration) but the view is worth the trek! And supposedly it is close to another Seattle landmark - the exterior of Meredith Grey's house from Grey's Anatomy. read more

KERRY PARK! I love this spot! It's such a relax and beautiful view of the city and water! It's a nice spot to just hangout for a bit, take pictures and enjoy the view! PLUS the houses right behind you are not too shabby to look and dream about! My cousin took me to this spot when I first came to Seattle and every time I come back this is one of my favorite spots to visit! Came here thinking this was actually a full on park, but I realized this is more of an area to enjoy the Seattle skyline. Nevertheless, this place is a must to watch the Seattle skyline. My boyfriend and I ubered to this spot (it seemed hard to find parking) and ended up staying for 10-15 min because we were not prepared for the wind. We were still fortunate enough to get in some great photos thanks to it being a Sunday around dinner time. Recommend coming here 10-15 min before sunset on a non-crowded day. The view is amazing, and you'll hopefully get in some great pics. read more

Tiny park with a spectacular view of the city skyline. It's a great quick stop or a cute picnic place. They also have benches were you can sit and talk with your loved ones or fall asleep as we saw some tourists do. Great photo op. Theres also an art structure to pose on if that's your thing. No shade at the main level. There's a kids play ground below the park, down a million steps if you are down to go. Great view of the Seattle skyline. If you keep going West on the same street, you'll see a cute spot with benches where the street ends. The most perfect place to watch the sun set with stunning views of the Cascade mountain range and Puget Sound water. This is one of the few tourist spots in Seattle where you won't see any homeless people and you won't smell any weed. For this severe asthma sufferer, it sucks that I have to smell second hand cigarette smoke on the East Coast and 420 on the West Coast. This is why I don't like cities - because I can't walk in them without feeling suffocated by the air quality. This neighborhood is the nicest and most expensive in Seattle. Queen Anne Hill - with English ivy on all the houses and cobblestone lanes- it gives the place so much history and character. read more

I always love taking a drive up here whenever I am in Seattle. Parking is easy and you have the most beautiful view of the city. Take a walk through the neighborhood and admire all of the beautiful houses and their historic charm. I've seen proposals here and of course it's a great place for a photo op with the city and bay behind you. It's not too far from downtown either so there's no excuse to not check out this park while in town. The iconic landmark to take that photo of the Space Needle and Mt. Rainier along with buildings of downtown Seattle. It's a great photo op for selfies or scenic shots. It's in a nice residential neighborhood of Queen Anne so parking is street only. Parking can be tight on crowded days so you may have to walk a block or two to get to the park. I've been here during daytime, at sunset and at night. It's a popular spot during anytime of day. The park is small and has a decent grass area. But it's not much of a park that has trees or for kids to play. It's more of a viewpoint to see the heart of Seattle. There are some benches that you can sit on while you watch tourist and local people hang out. It's a "must see" spot if you are in Seattle. read more

For a very small park, Kerry Park definitely is one of the most popular sightseeing place in Seattle. It's all about location, location, location. The park itself is tiny, and no parking lot at all. So for the visitors, you have to find a street parking. Which, surprisingly, is not that hard to find. I went there at a clear summer weekend, and found a street parking spot within one block from the park. The view from park is magnificent. It perfectly captures the Seattle city scape and the ocean. At cleat sunny days, you can even see the Mt.Rainier at background. The city, the mountain and the ocean, all in one incredible view. No wonder this is such a hot spot for both tourists and locals. When I was there taking pictures, a limousine pulled over. Groom, bride and bunch of best man, best woman in their wedding dresses coming out and started taking pictures using the Seattle landscape as background. Again, it proved how spectacular this view is. So, next time my friend in town, I will sure take him/her to the Kerry Park for a great picture. read more

My family and I made the mistake of walking (from Queen Anne area) to Kerry Park. So many steep hills! By the time we wanted to give up, we were already more than half way there... so we just pushed through to the top! We got to the park a little after sunset, so of course, there were a ton of photographers lined up already. It is definitely a great spot to check out the skyline of beautiful Seattle. If you want a place to observe downtown without being down in it this is probably the best place. It not only offers an amazing view but there are almost always places to park in front of the park. Yes, Kerry Park is a small strip of a park but what it doesn't have in size it makes up with the beautiful view from this vista. If you have people from out of town with you this is one of the leaves you should take them. Every time I have come here I have met or seen people from other places. Today I met some women from Finland who were very impressed with the view. The park has several benches to sit on as well as some large stone pots with plants as well as a large sculpture in the center. Changing Form by Doris Chase is a nice piece of art that is great for taking pictures of the skyline through. In the very center of the park is a bronze plaque that commentates the gift of the Kerry Park to the city of Seattle in 1927 by the Kerry family "so that all stop here may enjoy the view." We should all be glad that we live in a city with hills that offers us such beautiful views. Take advantage of it. read more

You have visitors from out of town, it's a beautiful Seattle day and they just want to see the sites. What do you do? Where do you take them? One of the places I take mine is to Kerry Park and make sure they bring their cameras with them. Kerry Park has an unobstructed view of the Space Needle, downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, West Seattle, and if you're lucky you'll get a backdrop of Mt. Rainier to finish out your picture. If I'm not mistaken I believe the view from Kerry Park is the most photographed view of Seattle and once you visit it you'll see why. I will add that Kerry Park is tiny I've read somewhere that it's only about 80 yards long and 30 yards wide, so don't come expecting to spend the whole day here having fun, it does have some benches, a coin-operated telescope, along with a water fountain but that's about it. Come take a few pictures, enjoy the view and than move on to your next stop for the day. Or say you want to impress a certain someone or maybe finally get that first kiss you've been dying for. Check to see what time sunset will be and head to Kerry Park to watch it set, I bet if you're lucky you'll be able to steal a kiss or two, I have yet to test this theory out though so I'm not 100% sure. A remarkable five star view and if I must say a fitting park for my 600th review. read more

If you've seen TV news reports live from Seattle, you've been here through the magic of television--yeah, this is the famous vantage point where they usually set up the cameras, the one that makes the Space Needle look like it's right downtown and twice as tall as the skyscrapers. The Chase sculpture here is gorgeous, and never wears out its welcome, even after appearing in umpteen million photographs and film shots. While it is not quite the success that the Noguchi in Volunteer Park is--it just doesn't have quite the resonant presence--it's still an amazing piece of Seattle public art. Yeah, Noguchi's piece inspired a Soundgarden tune, but that's not the only difference. Kerry always seems to have parking available, which is bizarre for this neighborhood. On nice nights, you share the park with photographers, tourists, families; all kinds of visitors. On colder nights, you'll often have it to yourselves, or nearly so. You get a powerful visual spectrum laid out at your feet--grand homes, modest homes, tourist attractions, offices, industry, shipping, and miles of natural scenic splendor. It can take a while to tease apart all the collective human experience on display. You have to sit and sit, letting yourself absorb the different lives lived within ready pointing distance. Personal histories of every sort have played out on the lands visible from Kerry Park. The Duwamish homeland, the first white settlers who landed on Alki, alpine mountaineers on Rainier, titans of commerce and industry making fortunes, all the rank and file workers who helped build those empires, and all the different home lives built in the different neighborhoods visible from here. And those are only the most obvious players on the stage before you. Conversely, you might simply content yourself with a standard-issue snapshot that you took yourself, and head home. This is an essential site for your visit to Seattle. It's slightly north of downtown, but given the steep hill on the way to this park, you may want to cab or Uber it. I walked there twice it's definitely doable. Although the view will be incredible regardless (except when it's raining), I'd recommend coming on a cloudless day, where Mt. Rainier can be seen looking in the back for an iconic postcard view. Breathtaking. The evening view is also spectacular since the Space Needle lights up. read more

I feel sorry for the poor folk who live in the gorgeous neighborhood that holds this park. Not because they have lovely mansions, breathtaking views and prime Seattle real estate, but because of the constant traffic jam and flocks of tourists that roam about this spot. It's an amazing view of our downtown skyline. The iconic Seattle center ("space needle") stands prominent as the focal point of the cityscape from this viewpoint. This popular view gives tourists the notion that it is the center of downtown Seattle. Deceiving. The park itself is a small patch of grass, a few benches and a sculpture with (limited) off street parking. Not that big of a deal. It should be known as "Kerry view point", not so much "Kerry park". I laugh when I see tour busses parked here. ;) read more

Kerry Park is more like a lookout than an actual park. It's quite small, just spanning a few yards across. However, don't let its quaint size fool you! It provides one heck of a view! It is located on Queen Anne Hill. The elevation provides an incredible view that encompasses downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, Bainbridge Island, and Mount Rainier. Since it was a really clear day in Seattle when I visited, the sights were breathtaking. Absolutely wowza. I could see all of Mt. Rainier! It was so trippy because it literally looks like a white mountain floating in the sky with the city of Seattle surrounding it. Simply gorgeous. Just admiring the Space Needle standing right next to Mt. Rainier, that was the moment I truly fell in love with The Emerald City. Street parking is relatively easy to find. There were two professional photo shoots taking place when I visited. Kerry Park is THE spot to be if you want a sweeping view of the city. This makes the park a bit touristy and crowded but c'mon! Folks should get charged for this type of scenic delight. I would love to drop by at night and gaze at the beautiful city underneath the dark skies and stars. My friend told me you normally can't see Mt. Rainier because it's so gloomy with heavy clouds hovering above, so I picked an excellent day to visit Kerry Park. High five, Judy! read more

So as many times as I've been to Seattle, I've never been here til now. I've totally been missing out! This park isn't too far from the city if you have a car. This small park is easy to find and in the Queen Anne's district. Its in the residential area so you just need to find street parking which isn't too hard, we went at night and in the morning. This is a cute little park with a couple of benches and a kid's playground and an amazing view of the Seattle skyline. You can spot the iconic Space Needle right away. They have viewfinders you can put quarters in to get a closer view of the city. It's a nice relaxing place to have a picnic or have a romantic moment with a spectacular backdrop. Breath taking viewpoint with awesome places to take photos. There's a playground and basketball court for recreational use down towards the bottom. If you're on a budget and want to skip the a Space Needle, this place gives you a faraway view of Seattle. It was amazing. The air, the benches and the brick wall.. Wow. I'm still blown away by this place and it's been a week. Lots of runners nearby too, so this would be a great quick break after a jog.
