One of the best views in the city! This is more of a viewpoint rather than a park. There's a ledge with benches that everyone is taking pictures at and a small strip of grass below. You get a lovely view of the Seattle skyline and Washington Lake. Super gorg! Parking is free along residential streets and it's pretty close to Queen Anne for some exploring and popping around.
One of my absolute favorite parks in Seattle. The view is beautiful, and I bring almost every guest who visits me here. Parking can definitely be a challenge, but honestly, it's still completely worth it. Such a special place with one of the best views of the city.
Visiting Seattle for the first time and heard one of the best views is from Kerry Park. Came here before sunset and it did not disappoint. Large crowd of people gathered here to take in the sights. Absolutely beautiful!
Whenever I'm in Seattle, Kerry Park is one of my absolute must-visit spots. The views of the city skyline are simply amazing!! Bonus points if you visit during golden hour, when the lighting makes the skyline look even more beautiful. That said, depending on the time of day, parking can be a little tricky to find and the park itself can get pretty busy and crowded. Personally, I think sunrise is the best time to come. Parking is much easier to find, the early morning light adds so much beauty to the cityscape, and there are hardly any people around. It almost feels like you have the entire park to yourself!
Free activity in Seattle, Washington... When I was at the Post Office, mailing some postcards, the friendly clerk suggested that I go to Kerry Park to view in person, the city skyline as depicted in these postcards... OK! My niece was surprised at the size of "the park". It seems to be more like a strip of lawn instead of a park. Well... we were there for the beautiful view of Seattle and were happy to get a free parking space on the street! There also was an interesting steel sculpture called: Changing Form. It's 15 feet tall and can be used as a nice frame to photograph the Space Needle and its surroundings!
On clear days you can get an amazing view of Elliott Bay and the Central City (with the Space Needle of course!), with a backdrop of Mount Rainier. The viewpoint is thoughtfully designed so many people can line up against the railings without too much trouble instead of photographers trying to jockey for space. If you didn't bring binoculars, there's a few coin operated telescopes to help you look at things in the distance. There's also a cool statue here if you're interested, and if you go down the steps there's a small playground. I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone use the playground though, since there are no bathrooms associated with the park and small kids can have bathroom emergencies. There are businesses nearby where I guess you could technically ask to use the washrooms, but it's just another hassle. Note: street parking only.
There were plenty of street parking. Absolutely stunning view of Seattle. We came during a week day morning. It was not crowded at all. We were to spend a few minutes here alone.
Lovely place to visit for views of the skyline! Parking is along the street and could take a bit of time but parking further away isn't a big deal because it's a nice walk.
I saw this place from my laptop as one of those Microsoft wallpaper/login screens. Was hoping to go there one day and boy I was not disappointed! What a great view! So good that someone was getting their wedding photos that same day I was there! Great place to chill, eat ice cream, chat and even get a workout in the stairs!! Will come back for that workout in the future!
This is definitely a 5 stars for the view. You get sweeping panoramas of Downtown Seattle, Elliot Bay, and even Mount Rainier. Recommended to visit during a clear sunny day for the sun set. However, there will be crowds as this is one of the famous sunset spot in the city.
An absolute must see whilst visiting Seattle. Beautiful sunset views. On a clear day you can see all of downtown and Mount Rainier.
Such a hidden gem! The only way we found it was thanks to an uber driver! The most beautiful view of the city. It's much more prettier in person. It would be nice to bring lunch and to relax at. A must goto, it wasn't crowded at all.
Had to come here again to put my chooky fam bam on. My favorite spot in Washington state. I could never get tired of it

Kerry Park was on every "must-see" list I read before visiting Seattle so I had to see it for myself! It's known for providing an absolutely breathtaking view of Seattle's skyline, and for being the perfect spot for capturing the perfect Instagram-worthy photos. In addition to the great views and Instagram-worthy aesthetics, Kerry Park's well-maintained greenery and cozy benches create a serene atmosphere, making it an ideal place for a leisurely stroll with a friend or a peaceful moment of reflection by yourself. All in all, the "must-see" lists I read were not lying about how awesome Kerry Park is. Whether you're a local looking for a quiet escape or a visitor wanting to soak in the beauty of Seattle and get a pic for the gram, Kerry Park is a must-visit destination that consistently delivers an amazing view of the city. read more
If anyone is visiting Seattle for the first time, this is always the go to spot that I recommend to friends and family. For the iconic sweeping views of Seattle, with the Space Needle and the lovely waters, Kerry Park will satisfy all those requirements. In recent years, this place has definitely grown in popularity, so do expect a hoard of tourists and locals alike at this spot. I do recommend coming here at least sunset or night time for the city glow. Parking is super limited so if you're visiting town, try to Uber or bus here and avoid the hectic ness :) read more
The view speaks for itself! I can only imagine what it looks like at night when the skies are clear. I was passing through and took a moment to soak up the sun and enjoyed the view on a lovely sunny day. I recommend adding this to your list of places to visit while in Seattle! read more
Very cool viewpoint to check out, but come early to find parking in the neighborhood. The streets are very small and tight so it's not too easy to get around. It's a great view to see, but the mountain is very faint that I barely noticed it. read more

There's a reason this place has 1,000+ reviews!!! There's nothing like that Seattle skyline view. Yes, your legs will fee a bit like jello! That hill is no joke, but then you reach this little oasis, where the city skyline peaks above the lush greenery of the park below. You'll see the buildings and Space Needle shrouded in golden light and reflect on how cool this city really is! Then you just have to try taking the baby steps back down the hill (for real feels like the momentum will get the better of you here). read more

Nice view of the Seattle skyline. You can see the Space Needle and Lake Union. My kids enjoyed the playground. There's no parking lot, you just park along the neighborhood. read more

Kerry Park is a great place to see the Seattle skyline. Although the hike to the top of the park is steep, we enjoyed the exercise. It was well worth it for the lovely view of the ocean, space needle, and buildings sweeping across the horizon. Definitely a fun and free stop to make on your trip to the city of Seattle. read more
My picture doesn't do it justice, but the view from here was breathtaking. Absolutely amazing! I'm sure it's even more beautiful on a clear, sunny day. Stop by here if you're in the area. You won't be disappointed!! read more
Kerry Park is a delightful place to take in the popular city view. Living in the area, I often work it into my walk and notice that parking can sometimes get bogged down right in front of the park, but if you go a bit further there are plenty of spaces just one to two blocks up in front of the homes. On the right side edge of the lookout there are stairs which go down to the next street. I think the stairs are a great place to view the skyline and snap some pictures without anyone in front of you. If you go down the stairs, there is a playground at the base, which is very nice for kiddos to burn off some energy. Diagonal from that playground is another lookout point where you have yet another view of the city which is delightful and less visited. read more
Kerry Park is very small and always full with people. The view is definitely amazing though. I feel bad for everyone who lives in the area as it can be quite hectic for all when they have to find parking or have people over. The noise as well. 4 stars for a beautiful view of the city. read more

Sitting atop of Queen Anne is Kerry Park. Photo op Hotspot of Seattle. You can see right into downtown, across the water and beyond. The park sits in the middle of a neighborhood street and as you come upon it is an overlook with a well known - terrific view of the city. Many tourists and locals a like will be present as was so on this visit. You may have to hang around a bit to line up your perfect photo shot. There is a playground and some open field space for youngsters or your dog friend to run around that sit below the overlook with steps leading up and down to it. On the clearest of days you should be able to see A complete view that envelops downtown Seattle, Elliott Bay, the West Seattle promontory, Bainbridge Island, and Mount Rainier all together. Coming to Seattle, this is likely one of the places you'll take a visitor or suggest to them. read more
I didn't read the reviews before coming here, so I didn't know what to expect. After coming here, I'm glad I didn't spend the money to go up to the space needle. I actually ended up visiting this destination last on my mini trip to Seattle, but it turned out to be a really nice day, not crowded, and good way to kill 20-30 minutes. Unfortunately, it wasn't a perfect day...it was partly cloudy, so I couldn't see Mt. Rainer. I visited on a Sunday morning and easily found parking right in front. I didn't really spend too much time walking around the entire park, but it's reqlly just a mini park on a hillside, and you park along the top. There is artwork in the center and a viewing area with rails. They have 1 small telescope for magnified viewing for 50 cents. Come here for great views of downtown!! read more

What's there to say that hasn't been said in 900+ reviews? Kerry Park is definitely a spot to come for iconic Seattle skyline views, but I wouldn't say it's a spot to come and spend a lot of time. The park itself is rather small, and obviously a touristy attraction, so you can usually count on it to be busy. Parking is street parking only. The couple of times I have been here, I haven't had trouble snagging a spot (and more often than not, it's free). If you're travelling to Seattle and want to see amazing views of downtown Seattle complete with Mount Rainier and the Space Needle, Kerry Park is the spot to be. On a clear day, the view is gorgeous during the day and night! TLDR; do it for the 'gram, but don't expect to be here for hours. Still worth it! read more
Kerry Park does not need any introduction. It is THE place for the quintessential Seattle view of the Space Needle and Mount Rainier. All Seattle landscape photographers end up here at some point of their photography career or hobby, capturing this view in various light conditions, sprinkled with festive fireworks, and/or decoratively smudged with spooktacular fog or dramatic clouds. This almost cliche-like view never gets old and continues to attract locals and tourists alike on a daily basis. Searching for the best view of downtown Seattle with the perfect photo op? THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Itching to see a mixture of massive classic/modern homes with lush yards that create the scene out of a Nancy Meyer's set? THIS IS YOUR PLACE! Interested in learning about history of the area while roaming the greens and art sculpture? THIS IS YOUR PLACE! This small park was described as a "must see" for my husband and I on our recent trip to Seattle, and now I totally see why! The views are absolutely stunning, and the overlook provides a 180-degree view of the cityscape, harbor and Mt. Rainier! These photos don't do justice! Here's what you need to do: Prep: Find a clear, sunny day. Brace yourself for crowds of people taking photos like it's the Eiffel Tower. Step 1: find a friend or stranger with halfway decent photography skills. iPhone's portrait mode will probably work fine; you don't need a fancy camera (though it wouldn't hurt). Step 2: Take photos with a quintessential Seattle view in the background. Step 3: Update *all* your social media and dating apps with the new picture. Step 4: Let the torrent of likes and matches come in* ~~~ Jokes aside, this is where you would see *the* skyline view of Seattle, including the water and Mt. Rainier if it's a clear weather day, and it's great for photos or just a great view. It is also free and doesn't close at night. While it is officially called a park, it is about 600 sqft of land on an elevation. A place to stop, take in the view, and maybe come back once in the evening or night. Seeing how expansive the view is and that it is free, I can say Kerry Park exceeded my expectations enough to earn the fifth star! * Results not guaranteed read more
This is the most amazing view of Seattle from this location! Postcard perfect! My kids have been here before so they told me about it. I felt so strongly about it that I rented a car right at the airport to come here, and I'm glad I did! It's a very small park, but worth the long uphill drive parking was available, but be careful during busy days. Try to avoid coming early in the morning or late in the afternoon when people are trying to get back to their houses! read more
Finally made it around to Kerry Park this visit! There's little to no parking. It's pretty much down to side streets and walking. The views of Seattle are awesome. However, the crowds are a bit much. It was crazy busy and definitely touristy. I prefer quieter, local spots, but I can see why Kerry Park is so popular. I wouldn't say this is a must to visit, but if you want a great view of Seattle, this is the spot. read more
For a beautiful shot of Seattle and all its gems, this a great place to grasp it all. Parking: The parking is not hard to get to. It's basically an extended street. Depending on the time and day, parking can get competitive. Feels: B-E-A-Utiful! A lovely, charming neighborhood with houses with a sense of history. Some are old school others are nicely renovated. This park is a very simple park, the top is a gorgeous view to sit and hang out. The lower side of a hill is a playground for kids to play and parents to chill. Overall: 5 Stars. Fantastic! It's quite a sight! The lovely houses, view of the ocean, Space Needle, and Mt Ranier (depending on the weather). Great place to simply reflect, snack, and enjoy the beauty of the Northwest. This park was cute! It's pretty small but the views are great :) There's street parking around the area and some even free! I think most of them were free actually. It was also near a residential area so you can see a lot of houses with great architectural work. I went when it was cold (early May) so make sure to bring a warm jacket since it can get windy up there. But I'm sure the weather can vary haha so just come on a nice and clear day if you can. I came around sunset (around 6-7 pm) so that was a lovely experience to see the sunset along with the skyline of seattle. I enjoyed how there weren't a lot of people there when I went and how you could take pictures. They even had a telescope that costs $0.50 to get a closer view of the city. I saw some cute dogs as well playing a small game of fetch with a frisbee. I think if I were to show people around Seattle, this would be one of the places on my list :) read more
The first time I visited Seattle I was in an Uber and my driver recommended Kerry Park as a place to visit. That was the first Seattle place I bookmarked and I finally came here years later. There is free parking right at the view point which is nice and convenient. When you arrive you will see sweeping views of the city with the Space Needle front and center as well as the Pacific Ocean on the right side. If you are actually looking for the park part there is a small playground at the bottom of the stairs. It's not the biggest park ever but the main attraction here is just the damn good view that can't be beat. This is a great place to relax and soak in the beautiful panoramic views of Seattle. If you're visiting Seattle this is a must-visit and if you already live here it's still an amazing place to see the beauty of the city that you may not have seen before. read more
More viewpoint than park, this "park" is about a block long and maybe 40 feet wide. The streets to get up to this viewpoint are steep, probably the steepest in Seattle. But the views and the photos you'll take are worth the drive. Street parking next to or near the park is plentiful and shouldn't be a problem. Turnover is quick since there's nothing else at this park but the view (and other tourists). read more

Kerry Park is one of the best places to visit to get a great view of Seattle, also it has a great park for kids, so this is definitely a good place to visit with friends and family. They are a lot of stairs to get to the observation area, so be prepared to walk up several flights of stairs. This is a great place to spend an afternoon. read more
This a great observation park when visiting Seattle. There are a few benches out here and two quaint areas to enjoy a small picnic. It is within a residential area so be mindful when parking. Highly recommend for great views of the Seattle skyline! Go check it out! read more

Is there handicap parking?
It's simple street parking, first come first serve! The earlier the better and you'll have front row center!
Are leashed dogs allowed?
The park is the size of a postage stamp right next to the curb. It's just an observation parklet with benches. Leashed dogs are everywhere in seattle so taking your pet will not be out of the ordinary.
Is there a restroom at Kerry park?
Unfortunately no. Kerry Park is literally just an open space to enjoy the skyline of Seattle. But there are a lot of restaurants/businesses down the hill I'm sure you can use.
Is the view of Mt Ranier unobstructed?
Depends on the day and how cloudy it gets. Not necessarily unobstructed typically
