One of the best views in the city! This is more of a viewpoint rather than a park. There's a ledge with benches that everyone is taking pictures at and a small strip of grass below. You get a lovely view of the Seattle skyline and Washington Lake. Super gorg! Parking is free along residential streets and it's pretty close to Queen Anne for some exploring and popping around.
One of my absolute favorite parks in Seattle. The view is beautiful, and I bring almost every guest who visits me here. Parking can definitely be a challenge, but honestly, it's still completely worth it. Such a special place with one of the best views of the city.
Visiting Seattle for the first time and heard one of the best views is from Kerry Park. Came here before sunset and it did not disappoint. Large crowd of people gathered here to take in the sights. Absolutely beautiful!
Whenever I'm in Seattle, Kerry Park is one of my absolute must-visit spots. The views of the city skyline are simply amazing!! Bonus points if you visit during golden hour, when the lighting makes the skyline look even more beautiful. That said, depending on the time of day, parking can be a little tricky to find and the park itself can get pretty busy and crowded. Personally, I think sunrise is the best time to come. Parking is much easier to find, the early morning light adds so much beauty to the cityscape, and there are hardly any people around. It almost feels like you have the entire park to yourself!
Free activity in Seattle, Washington... When I was at the Post Office, mailing some postcards, the friendly clerk suggested that I go to Kerry Park to view in person, the city skyline as depicted in these postcards... OK! My niece was surprised at the size of "the park". It seems to be more like a strip of lawn instead of a park. Well... we were there for the beautiful view of Seattle and were happy to get a free parking space on the street! There also was an interesting steel sculpture called: Changing Form. It's 15 feet tall and can be used as a nice frame to photograph the Space Needle and its surroundings!
On clear days you can get an amazing view of Elliott Bay and the Central City (with the Space Needle of course!), with a backdrop of Mount Rainier. The viewpoint is thoughtfully designed so many people can line up against the railings without too much trouble instead of photographers trying to jockey for space. If you didn't bring binoculars, there's a few coin operated telescopes to help you look at things in the distance. There's also a cool statue here if you're interested, and if you go down the steps there's a small playground. I'm not sure if I've ever seen anyone use the playground though, since there are no bathrooms associated with the park and small kids can have bathroom emergencies. There are businesses nearby where I guess you could technically ask to use the washrooms, but it's just another hassle. Note: street parking only.
There were plenty of street parking. Absolutely stunning view of Seattle. We came during a week day morning. It was not crowded at all. We were to spend a few minutes here alone.
Lovely place to visit for views of the skyline! Parking is along the street and could take a bit of time but parking further away isn't a big deal because it's a nice walk.
I saw this place from my laptop as one of those Microsoft wallpaper/login screens. Was hoping to go there one day and boy I was not disappointed! What a great view! So good that someone was getting their wedding photos that same day I was there! Great place to chill, eat ice cream, chat and even get a workout in the stairs!! Will come back for that workout in the future!
This is definitely a 5 stars for the view. You get sweeping panoramas of Downtown Seattle, Elliot Bay, and even Mount Rainier. Recommended to visit during a clear sunny day for the sun set. However, there will be crowds as this is one of the famous sunset spot in the city.
An absolute must see whilst visiting Seattle. Beautiful sunset views. On a clear day you can see all of downtown and Mount Rainier.
Such a hidden gem! The only way we found it was thanks to an uber driver! The most beautiful view of the city. It's much more prettier in person. It would be nice to bring lunch and to relax at. A must goto, it wasn't crowded at all.

Beautiful views of downtown Seattle skyline at night here. There's a spyglass that you can use for some coins, and a few benches as well. It's in a neighborhood and seems to be a pretty popular spot for people to visit. An easy walk from some nearby bus stops. read more
Kerry Park is such an awesome spot to take in the views of the Seattle skyline, especially at sunset. If you're lucky, you can see Mount Rainier standing majestically in the background. I'm glad I finally had a chance to visit the park - although it's really just a small sliver of space with a few benches. The views are simply wonderful. We watched the boats move along the harbor and airplanes flying to various destinations. The air was crisp and cool as the sun set and the sky turned from day to night. It was the perfect way to end a full day of sight seeing and meeting up with friends and family. The park is in a neighborhood so I imagine parking can be hard to find during peak visiting hours, but we lucked out! Despite the limited space, that didn't seem to stop anyone from visiting this popular spot. We must've gone while nearby high schools had their junior prom because limo after limo came filled with kids decked out in their suits and dresses. I don't blame them. Kerry Park provides the perfect backdrop to any photo. I'd recommend a stop here at sunrise or sunset to get that nice golden glow. read more
Took an Uber up here to get that classic, "Postcard", photograph of Seattle. Everything I read about this park said it is constantly packed with tourists but that wasn't my experience. When we arrived there were maybe 10-12 other people there. Then again, it was late at night so that could have had something to do with it. If you want to get an amazing view of Seattle then look no further. Just make sure your camera has the ability to zoom because the view is not as close as it looks in photos. read more

Living in the Seattle area you quickly learn to appreciate and take advantage of ANY sunny day especially in the fall/winter season. Kerry Park is extremely popular so navigating how to take in the view SAFELY can be tough, but possible. We took in the view but chose not linger as some people had on mask, and practiced social distancing; while others did not. My husband and I chose to park several miles away to walk with our boys, and enjoy such a spectacular day in Seattle. If you're wanting to linger and take multiple pictures, I suggest arrive as early as possible. If your a tourist or just a new resident like us definitely make some time to visit Kerry Park the view is priceless. read more

One of the best parks for viewing as the city sits below the park. You are on top of The Needle and the Sound. Awesome. You have to walk down a big flight of stairs to get to the playground. Plenty of street parking. read more
Mini park with incredible city views! This lookout is really the perfect spot for city skyline views and the bay. Calling it a park is generous as it's quite small in a residential part of Queen Anne neighborhood, but the views are fantastic and you could stare at them all day. Parking is really tough as it's nestled in the neighborhood and it's often quite busy, but just circle the area and you might get lucky. As others have pointed out, it's not really a sunset view as this park is east facing and the sun sets behind you, over the hill. But none the less, the panoramic views are an absolute must see in Seattle! read more
Not your typical park which usually have rides, sand and restrooms, Kerry Park is the one location in Seattle that is known for its breathtaking views of the Seattle skyline. From here, you can literally see just about all of what Seattle has to offer, the most famous sighting being the iconic Space Needle. From a distance, one can also see Lumen Field, home of the Seattle Seahawks, and right next to it being the T-Mobile Field, home of the Seattle Mariners. From an even smaller distance, you can slightly catch a glimpse of the giant Ferris wheel that is by the pier. Parking is very scarce, as this is a tourist hotspot. This park is located in the middle of a residential neighborhood, so it'd probably be best to use a ride share service or rent a bicycle/scooter to get here. There are some beautiful looking Victorian style homes around here to check out. Oh, this park is also walking distance from the famous house that is seen in Grey's Anatomy! Those who watch the show will get the reference! read more

Kerry park is probably the best place to get a photo of Seattle's skyline. It's a very small park but it's perfectly nestled in the hills to allow for a picturesque view of Seattle. Locals and visitors alike, come to Kerry Park for its beautiful sunrise and sunset backdrop. When I visited, there was a proposal going on so be aware of your surroundings and try not to ruin the magical moment for those around you. Visiting Kerry Park is a must if you're looking for an iconic photo of Seattle. read more
An amazing little viewpoint to check out in Seattle! It has the perfect view of the city and the Space Needle. It's not your typical park with a playground or a large open grass field, but more like a drive by spot to stop at and take pictures at. There's parking right in front but it was full when we stopped by, so we just parked in the neighborhood. There were definitely plenty of people when we came but it wasn't too crowded and spaces opened up so you can get some nice pictures in with the view. read more
A must go place if visiting seattle . The view is just amazing . Very famous view for the needle and seattle downtown . Parking is a little crazy but luckily we got a parking just opposite to the park . There are long lines of people taking pics but you will get space to take pics. . We took a lot of pics here and on then went to seattle downtown . On the way back , we also had a look at night view of needle and downtown . It was just awesome .. loved this place ! read more
Some of the best views of Seattle are found here at Kerry Park. Best time to come here is about an hour before sunset. It gets crowded and a bit chilly, so dress accordingly. On a very clear day, you can even see Mt. Ranier in the background. We lucked out! Snap your pics, watch the sky change colors, then grab an uber to your dinner destination. ALOHA!!! Even though I left early in the morning to beat the local workout crowd, the trek up here wasn't easy. It's on an uphill slope; and the SOML for this trip said my regular street clothes are now my sweaty workout clothes for the day. I would've been more irritated during peak visiting hours so I'm glad I was able to catch the sunrise without anyone to see my wet shirt--and if yours wasn't wet to begin with, this'll do that because what a view. Reminds me of those scenic transition shots from a 90s sitcom up here. Safe to say Kerry Park is nestled in an upscale neighborhood that you wish could be your regular view from a 1.6M+ home. It's not much of a vast scape as it is a peekaboo of the city skyline so I wouldn't say the move would be worth it. On to Denvy heights.... read more

*The* place to view the Seattle skyline. Very very pretty at night. Wished I was able to visit again during the daytime but wasn't able to fit it into my itinerary. It's not a huge park; it's pretty much a lookout surrounded by millionaire housing complexes. I recommend either driving or Uber-ing here. I got here via bus and although my GPS said it would be an 8 min walk to the place from the bus stop the walk was all uphill lol. My legs were burning at the end but was well worth. read more

We came back to Seattle but we haven't been to this location since 2015. First time with all of us at this location. It's a breathtaking view of the city from this view. Amazing to just take it all in when here. The homes nearby cost up to 9k monthly and as much as 3.5 million and up to purchase a condo that has that view everyday. Never gets old. read more

In the pictures the view of Seattle seems wayyy closer than it actually is from this park. You can see the entire skyline for sure. I came in January, which is outside of peak tourist time, just before the sun rose; there really wasn't any need to come early at all. Saw only 1 or 2 other people while passing by here and they were just residents of the area walking their dogs. Kerry Park is at the edge of a ledge in a residential neighborhood; it's not really a park, mostly a small patch of grass for people to rest their legs on a morning run. There's a few benches to sit on if you wish, and a telescope to help you see. Seattle is often cloudy so it's unlikely you'll be able to catch a glimpse of Mr. Rainier from here. There's also a large sculpture to spruce up the area a bit. All in all this is a few minute activity; come enjoy the view take a few pics and move on. I'd say this is probably one of the things you should do if you do come to Seattle but I'm not sure it would be a highlight of your trip. read more
The city of Seattle is such a beautiful city with its lush greenery. You can't help wanting to take pictures of Seattle's skyline. One of the best places to take pictures is at Kerry Park which is small park located in the Queen Anne neighborhood. The park provides unobstructed views of the Seattle's skyline with a great view of the Space Needle. If you are lucky and visit on a clear sunny day, you will see Mount Rainier in the background. I wish I had my DSLR camera to take pictures instead of my phone camera because the views here are amazing. Make sure you come back in the evening to check out the city lights. It's even better at night. Don't be surprised if see tons of people here because it's crowded at night as it is during the day. read more

Kerry Park area is a great place to get a view of the city. There is plenty free street parking. If you follow the directions to Kerry park, it'll lead right below to the park and there are stairs to climb up for the amazing view. If you can't do stairs or rather not bother with the steps up, use the landmark of (W Highland Dr) to get you right up top. All you'd need to do then is leave car and walk straight to the great view of the city. read more
Less of a park, more of a vantage point. There are no bathrooms, picnic tables, or playgrounds (unless you go down the hill) Definitely one of the best, most iconic views of Seattle, and if you're lucky, on clear day, you can see all the way to Mt. Rainier - seeing that mountain never gets old. It's located in a residential area, so be conscious of noise, driving speed, and street parking - there was plenty when we visited, just don't block any driveways. read more
Like all other Yelpers mentioned, really the best view of the city! On a non cloudy day, you can even peek at the mountains. We arrived about 15 minutes before sunset and luckily found street parking nearby. We visited Labor Day weekend and it did get a bit crowded a few minutes later. So give yourself extra time for parking if you want the best pano view in town. This is a tiny park with a HUGE view, you will not be disappointed. I think this is the money shot between different scenes on Grey's Anatomy as well. If you still have a few minutes after enjoying the sunset view, walk a few blocks towards Elliott/Western and the view is fabulous there as well. There are even couple benches there and we saw people enjoying the view with a huge pizza! read more

What a gorgeous view of the Seattle cityscape! Small, quiet park with street parking. We weren't able to see Mt. Rainier, but still breathtaking views. Definitely recommend! read more
The viewpoint is open from six in the morning until 10 in the evening. There are steps going all the way up but we drove to the top and parked. A very nice park with a viewpoint overlooking Mount Rainier, the harbor and downtown Seattle. Lots of free parking on the street, even binoculars beautiful homes ...Plaque here says that it was given to the city of Seattle in 1927 by the Kerry family so all may have stopped here can enjoy the view... read more

Beautiful views!! In the hilly city of Seattle it can be hard to find a simple view of the city with nice seating day and night! Came here on a hot day and there were a few other people at the small park. A lot of people taking photos with the city scape behind them. We were lucky enough to be at the park when the K9 groups were taking their dog pictures which was very sweet to see, it's clear that the community surrounding the park comes to this park to walk their dogs. Love this stop on your drive. read more

Beautiful view of Seattle skyline went at night , there equal amount of what look like pros or serious hobbyist s as tourist. It was raining along with thunder and lightning which I suspect why the pro's were there. read more
Beautiful skyline of Seattle!! We got lucky and came here on a beautiful day with some clouds... we didn't get to see Mt Ranier but the view was still beautiful. On a cold winter day, the air was so fresh! There were a lot of people but there's enough space for all photos! Best free view of Seattle. read more

For the view, this park is spectacular. For a playground for kids to play in, its small and cute. For a good workout, super strenuous for running, stair workouts and biking. On a clear day, you can see the city, Rainier and wide view of the water. Gorgeous. read more
Kerry park is a great place to see the beautiful city of Seattle. It was a forty minute walk from Pike Place and it was well worth it. It's a good place to just sit back and enjoy the amazing views. When you are in Seattle you must check out Kerry Park. read more
What a view of the Seattle Skyline, but I am confused why this is a sunset spot as the sun does NOT set there! Hah! Met some interesting people there and had a good conversation while waiting the NOT sunset, sunset. I have no idea how to describe the experience of watching a sun NOT set but yet, everybody was there with cameras and various zoom lenses documenting the changing colours reflected of a sunset Happening somewhere else, where we could not see from the park! How is it possible that I've lived in Seattle so long without visiting Kerry Park? I took my relatives from NJ last week and it was beautiful! Easily the best view of Seattle -- I'm sure this is where every postcard of Seattle's skyline has ever been taken. Highly recommend if you are looking to get a nice shot of Seattle on a clear day. read more

Kerry Park is the best spot to get a picture of the city skyline. It's not a big park and will very likely be packed with people. However, the view is too spectacular not to visit. We came a few hours pass noon and the overcast covered the sun. I imagine the pictures will be better with sunlight, hope to come here when it's better weather! The sunset pictures I saw were spectacular, so definitely try to make it during that time. Overall, Kerry Park is well worth your time to come and snap of few pictures of the landscape. I plan on coming back during sunset next time and hopefully the weather will be much better! read more

Is there handicap parking?
It's simple street parking, first come first serve! The earlier the better and you'll have front row center!
Are leashed dogs allowed?
The park is the size of a postage stamp right next to the curb. It's just an observation parklet with benches. Leashed dogs are everywhere in seattle so taking your pet will not be out of the ordinary.
Is there a restroom at Kerry park?
Unfortunately no. Kerry Park is literally just an open space to enjoy the skyline of Seattle. But there are a lot of restaurants/businesses down the hill I'm sure you can use.
Is the view of Mt Ranier unobstructed?
Depends on the day and how cloudy it gets. Not necessarily unobstructed typically
