It was a relatively short walk with a lot of stops and long pauses to talk. Because it was cold I probably would've preferred a little more walking. It would have been really cool to be able to go inside some of the buildings on the tour instead of just looking from the outside. Another thing that might've helped is for the guide to have printed out pictures of the places or people he talked about to help us all visualize the stories. He did show us a couple pictures on his phone, but I feel like I could've used more. The guide was knowledgeable in answering everyone's questions and he was very friendly. The tour was fun and I enjoyed it.

Roz and her team had the tables setup and looking fabulous. We catered the meal and had an unforgettable evening. She helped plan a "Whodunnit" style show and totally shocked all my guests. The parking deck allowed for entry to the building from the 3rd deck. Elevators are available, however I took the stairs for a more scenic route. I didn't feel cramped, likely because I was seated on the end of a row. Even with a mostly full house, my view of the performers was not obstructed. I wasn't sure which dates would be available but was able to obtain tickets to the Wednesday show. From start to finish the staff was extremely helpful. It was nice to see an actor from some films I'd previously seen on a different platform. Though I didn't partake, the bar was stocked with small snacks & beverages, both non-alcoholic & alcoholic beverages. There was also seating on the second level above the bar area to relax or even grab a drink before the show.

Even the parking garage attendant was great asked if we had been and directed us on where to go since it was our first time. It was a quick walk through a park which was lovely and also had some directions along the way. Once we got to Tanger the attendants inside directed us on where to go and everything was very smooth to get in. The front entrance was crowded since it is a smaller venue but once we got upstairs all the same services were available for drinks and snacks and there were not a lot of patrons around yet. I was a little confused as to where to go at first but again the attendants were very helpful and showed us how to get to our seats. Our seats were good too I feel there isn't a bad seat in the house with how the center is set up. I will totally be back when there is an event that doesn't come closer to me.

The Steven Tanger Center opened in 2021. It was to open in March 2020, but the pandemic changed the…read moreplan. The outside of the building is made of limestone. The Performing Arts Center hosts many events, from the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra to touring Broadway shows, concerts, comedy shows and discussions. The Tanger Center has a parking lot available for performances, and there is street parking and a few nearby parking garages. With Greensboro taking down two garages, it might be a little more challenging to find a space. When you arrive, ticket scanning and a security check are first. I am glad they finally clarified the bag policy to just one rather than three different policies. Phillips Hall is impressive with its high ceilings (3 stories) and a large glass window. It is 8,000 square feet and has porcelain staircases on both sides and elevators in the center. The concessions are in front of the window and under the stairs, so it is a shame that the architectural view is blocked. There are high-top tables in the center for your food and beverages. But I do not remember seeing any seating with the tables. The women's restroom on the first floor is large, with many stalls, extending from one side of the theatre to the other. I like that you can also see whether they are occupied or vacant. Staff have been very pleasant and helpful, from finding where you need to be seated to the Prelude Dining before performances. Seating is on three levels; the orchestra and the Grand Tier can be entered from the main level. The Loge is the balcony on the third level, and elevators are available from the lobby. I've had tickets for the orchestra in various sections, the grand tier and the grand tier boxes and learned where I prefer. It is also very easy to leave after the performances with multiple exits. The Tanger Center is a great addition to Downtown Greensboro that knows how to handle large-scale events.

I am completely absorbed with every play, the writing and stage direction are wonderful, the sets are very artistic and well-made, the costuming is fabulous, and the actors and actresses are multi-talented, provocative, and brilliant. Whether it is their rendition of Steel Magnolias, or an original play written by Mr. Nierle, such as Ebenezer's Trailer Park Christmas Spec-Tac-Yule-R, this troupe of actors are the finest around and Nierle is simply inspired. OSCT has performed Off-Broadway, and that is exactly the sort of performance you will see with every production. I cannot recommend this theater enough. Go see!

If you have never seen UNCSA's The Nutcracker then you are missing out. Highly recommend. Of course, it is only during the Christmas season. You can get tickets online and pick your seat from their web site. They do sell snacks and drinks (including wine), at least for The Nutcracker. Also, Nutcracker items are also for sell, They do take plastic. Regarding the Stevens Center. Loved the building. Seating was comfortable. Aisles for the seating are narrow so expect to have to standup to let people by. Two levels, orchestra and balcony levels. I personally have not had a bad seat. Only downside is if you get a big headed giant who sits right in front of you, but this can happen at most venues. So why 4 stars and not 5 for the Stevens Center? 1) The entrance lobby is small. For popular events, it is too small to handle the crowd trying to get in. I will give credit to the staff for efficiently processing the tickets. 2) The orchestra level lobby is also small. Very crowded as everyone is waiting to get in and during intermission. 3) Not enough restrooms to handle capacity crowds. When intermission starts, you better run to the restroom otherwise you can be in a line 20 people deep. Despite the minor downsides, probably due to it being an old historic building, it is a great venue.

Visually, it's beautiful! The art that is scattered around as you walk through the building adds to the museum like atmosphere. The main theatre where the performances take place is gorgeous and feels quite cavernous, however the seating isn't amazing, gorgeous, and it's CERTAINLY NOT cavernous. The seats are crammed together. I didn't measure, so I can't be sure, but I would say they must be significantly closer together, with less legroom than airline seats. Fortunately, the performance was so entertaining, that I was able, to a large extent, to ignore the painful seating.

Interesting theater and a very interesting play we saw here. The theater is an open stage close to…read morethe audience. That type of performance is unlike other stage plays because of the closeness of the actors you can feel you are part of the performance not just watching it. The actors and production was very good and the building was clean and accommodating along with the lighting and sound. I will always recommend local theater and you have doubts watch one and you won't.
