Lucky for me the kind lady behind the counter packed up each of my selection without judgement. I went with the ham and bougie mustard croissant (absolute perfection) and grabbed a few extra treats to take home for the kids. I was especially excited about the ginger sandwich cookie and the pull-apart bread... but unfortunately, the small humans devoured everything before I even had a chance to sneak a bite. Another Bobby Boys location? I don't mind at all!! I had the grilled cheese sandwich which was just beautiful. It was both acidic and umptuous, perfect balance. My friend ordered their aranchini and they seemed a little over fried to me so a little bit of a miss with that dish. You can of course order their bread, quiche and sweets too and this location and get their amazing coffee. They also had soup on the menu. Had a great bakery experience at the newest Bobby boys bake shop. Super clean and well stocked even at 4pm on a Friday. Lots of the things they are known for and some savory items . The specialty cakes looked amazing. I was here for the croissant though! There is no parking as such at the location just street parking which I found easily. Walked up to the bakery and stood in line which can take a second as people take awhile to choose from the array of goodies. I got the raspberry key lime croissant which I assume is a seasonal offering. Anyway had my name written all over it ! Plus I got a cappuccino. I went and grabbed a seat outside as it was a nice sunny afternoon. They bought my coffee out which was nice. The croissant was perfectly balanced , raspberry sweetness meshed well with the tart key lime and the crispy outside of the croissant. Inside they layers become softer as it mixes with the curd and raspberry . A must try if you enjoy these flavors. I savored every bite . Excellence in everything they do and all they endeavor. I can't think of a more potent way to sum up my review than that. This is the second location for Bobby Boy Bakeshop, but the same could be said about the first, or any of their restaurant concepts such as Grandpa Joe's Slaberia or Noodle Ju'b. Never had a pastry or a sandwich that fell short of my expectations. The quality is evident in the presentation and taste. This most recent stop was a simple post-lunch treat, where I left with a chocolate croissant and a oatmeal creme pie like sandwich cookie. Neither one had a chance once they got home. I saw their Instagram post about their Easter desserts and didn't want to miss them like I did for the Valentine's Day desserts so I stopped by before lunchtime on a weekday. Stopped in for some sweet treats the other day. Was welcomed walking in the door. Walk through the line service, I got a box of bakery treats to go. Inside an old revamped industrial complex with several other businesses. High ceilings, modern minimalist interior. I would give Bobby Boy ten stars if I could. It is such a delight to go visit the bakeshop and enjoy their amazing goodies. I have tried so many pastries, pies, breads, and coffee from both locations and I have not found anything I haven't liked. We had only visited the original Bobby Boy once before, but when we heard they opened a new location in the Salem Bottleworks complex, we knew we had to stop in. After enjoying lunch at nearby Grandpa Joe's, we headed over for something sweet. There was a short line when we arrived, which gave us time to admire the space--it's beautifully designed, with every detail thoughtfully done. The pastry case was full of tempting options, and my wife immediately zeroed in on the Peanut Butter Buckeye Brownie. We also picked up two ginger cookies. Prices felt very reasonable, especially given the quality. The cookies were soft and flavorful, but the Buckeye stole the show--it was rich, perfectly balanced, and absolutely incredible. We also noticed they serve soups and sandwiches, so we're already planning a return visit to try lunch. Parking is easy, with a free customer lot located at the corner of Poplar and Walnut. Overall, this new Bobby Boy location is a fantastic addition to the Bottleworks, and we can't wait to come back! read more

I'm almost hesitant to write this review because this is such an amazing Saturday morning space. Don't come! Hah! We rode up the street with our kids on scooters to visit the Cobblestone Farmer's Market but came here instead. And wow! It's a perfect spot for kids to ride around and play safely while adults enjoy delicious coffe and chill conversations. The croissants are absolutely delicious. They're the only bakery I know of where you're going to get the most beautiful, tasty treats out there. We visited their new space and it's beautiful. I also love how spacious it is compared to their first location. They are still serving all of your favorites at this second location and of course we ordered chocolate overload. I'm also a sucker for a cookie sandwhich so we ordered that as well. Decadent, rich chocolate in every bite and the cookie sandwich was just enough. Love this new location! I came with my friend for our weekly pre-work coffee date and we both had a great time. It's a lot larger than the other location with ample seating inside and outside. Same decor/aesthetic, clean, bright, white. And pretty much the same menu/offerings. We arrived right at opening during the week so there was no line. I ordered a drip coffee and the peanut butter caramelia chocolate brownie. My friend had a latte and a pastry. I really liked the brownie, the peanut butter added the perfect touch (I had gotten the traditional chocolate previously. My friend enjoyed her coffee and muffin as well. Service was fast and friendly. I'm not sure if it's because it's standalone but I just really like this shop more than the Reynolda location (and the fact that that's adjoined to Caviste wine bar and maybe it feels like the service is a little stiff/snooty over there?). I can't wait to see what becomes of the rest of this Bottleworks(?) complex. It's super close to Lesser Known and East of Texas. Came in for coffee and will admit I couldn't find the entrance at first. I knew it was there because I saw a sign but there's some construction and it wasn't easy. There's a dedicated parking lot across the street, so that's nice. Nice interior, but less seating than I thought it would have since the other location is so small. But... it IS way bigger and really nice. My cold brew was perfect and better priced than Starbucks. After trying the original location on Reynolda Road, I wanted to give this new spot a try. The bakery occupies most of the former Salem Bottleworks (Coke bottling), bordered by S. Marshall, S. Poplar, and Walnut St. parking is available on the street areas. There is much space here and additional projects are planned - a Pizza spot, Ramen Shop, and even a fine dining restaurant. I tried the Apple Danish, and it was simply amazing. The pastry was flaky and very tasty, while the glazed apple slices were perfect as to the level of sweetness and as to texture. This is my absolute favorite spot in all of Winston-Salem and possibly the world! Everything I've ever tried here from their sweet options, including the apple danish, which is my absolute favorite the cinnamon roll, and the coffee cake muffin have all been full of yummy flavor! I also love their chocolate and almond croissants... I've been told that there is an option of a chocolate almond croissant combination but every time I've come, it's been sold out so that should tell you something! The apple danish is full of sliced apples and not that apple pie filling stuff that most other places put in that's just full of sugar. The bread on it is flaky pastry... The cinnamon roll is huge with a scoop of yummy cream cheese on top. The dough is always soft, moist and full of yummy cinnamon flavor. The savory options I've tried, including the ratatouille and huge onion roll have both been delicious and well prepared with just the right amount of spices sauces and othercyummy ingredients. Before the second location opened, I read an article that said that some of the pastries literally take days to prepare because they are French style, and that makes all the difference in the world as far as the flavor and quality. The prices are a little on the high side, but they are worth every dime for the quality flavor and deliciousness of everything they serve! I also get my go to Coffee, which is a mocha latte with three shakes of cinnamon powder mixed into the espresso made with oat milk. I love the fact that instead of frozen water for their ice they use frozen coffee... That way your coffee isn't watered down but coffeed down. The place is usually packed to the Brim and by the time I get here if I come too late, almost everything is already sold out... That should tell you how good this place is! I encourage you to try it! I love the original location but it can be hard to go since they are so popular. My son and I were going to the farmers market and decided to check it out since it was early. We were in luck and did not have to wait. They had a yummy selection of pasties, desserts, and breads. My son got his favorite chocolate croissant and I got a blueberry pastry. Both were delicious. I went in to get a quick coffee- there's nothing quick about this place. You have to stand and wait in line while people take their time trying to work out what pastry or bread they want to buy. Asking all the questions. All the while, there is a lady standing at the cashier doing nothing. I saw another lady go straight to the cashier who was not in line to order and pay for something so I thought 'oh yes I don't have to wait here forever!' So I went behind the lady and when I was asked how I can be helped, I asked for a latte and she responded with you have to get back in line. No thank you. I'll put my money somewhere else. They serve their espresso drinks in glass cups/ ceramic mugs + the baristas do a wonderful job at latte art- My favorite experience here was when one of their lovely baristas, Carrie, made my oat cappuccino with a bear design on top :) Carrie in particular has gone above + beyond to make my time at BB the highlight of my day. She has memorized my order, is always kind, + makes my coffee better than anyone else! Additionally, the pastries and breads here are top notch.
