Came here for the first time for breakfast, but ended up getting lunch instead. We ended up getting a chicken cutlet grinder with bacon and chipotle mayo sauce with a side a Mac salad and pickles. The sandwich was very good and chicken was crispy. I also got a maple cream iced coffee. It was a different set up than I'm normally used to because the coffee was already in the cups that you could choose from in the fridge. There were about 10 different flavors to choose from. I was then given ice and could make my coffee at the counter. I wouldn't come here for the coffee though I brought home a French toast bagel with cannoli cream cheese. It was very good, not too sweet. The bagel itself was crispy and with crunchy cinnamon sugar on the outside and dusted with powdered sugar. read more

Made it! Finally! I had a doctors appointment a few doors down during the week day early in the morning and I knew I was y going to have time to make breakfast after my appointment so I figured this was the best time to make a Visit to Kettle Bagels. It's a cute shop. It has tables indoors and outdoors. Nice selection of bagels too! Staff was very pleasant. She was great! For my sandwich.. I was excited to try a GF breakfast sandwich. COVID-19 era: Kettle might not be the closest bagel or brunch spot to the 84/10 exchange, but what a gorgeous bagel selection. It's worth those extra traffic lights. That, and our little one love those rainbow bagels, which I haven't seen anywhere else around Hartford. I understand the reason for that long line! Our wait was shorter than I thought, but Kettle is on Grubhub and maybe more dinner services, so order ahead if you'd prefer to skip the line. Beside other deli sandwiches, the staple lox sandwich is here. Cheddar jalapeño, maple bacon, and Sriracha are among Kettle's large(r) spread selection, and blueberry spread some actual, decent blueberries. The coffee selection's good (S-M-L), and if non-dairy's your preference, there's a fridge full of dairy options plus flavored creamer and almond milk. A huge parking lot is behind the building, though we we able to park on the side fine. If you're having carbs before a morning hike-- the nearby New England Trail or another scenic spots--or just enjoying some comfort food breakfast, this is an excellent place to energize the day. read more

I had a bagel craving and decided to check out this spot Sat morning. We got an egg bagel with delicious cucumber dill cream cheese, a blueberry bagel with plain cream cheese and a plain bagel with butter. The flavored cream cheese was particularly delicious and I also was allowed to try a small sample of the Cheddar jalapeno cream cheese which I really enjoyed and would definitely try next time! The blueberry bagel had a light flavor and was not overly sweet. Grabbed some juice, protein, shake and coffee as beverages and the total was just over 20 bucks which was fantastic. We ended up just eating there. They were busy but service was polite and attentive at the counter. The variety of bagels, wraps, hard rolls, grinder and panini options are incredible. They offer catering options as well as grubhub, ubereats and doordash. I'm so happy I found this bagel place! The staff is always so friendly, both times I've gone (it's always in the afternoon so roughly an hour before close), the girl at the counter would throw in extra bagels for me. The first time, she let me take home a french toast bagel because I said I wanted to try it next time, and today she threw in a few extra blueberries and sesame bagels when I ordered 4 to go. Quality is excellent, I got a bacon egg & cheese on sesame today and also added a chipotle cream cheese schmear - STRAIGHT FIRE. Asked Siri to guide me to Kettle Bagels and I am not sure why she directed me to this one since it is further away from me than the other location... that being said... so glad we came here!!! As you can see from my pictures there is a huge selection for bagels and cream cheese. They also serve coffee and have a lunch menu. I got a cheddar bagel with cream cheese and bacon and it was excellent. They do put a lot of cream cheese on there but I love cream cheese... sooooo :o) there was also plenty of bacon and it was cooked just right. My son chose the rainbow bagel and insisted he eat some before we left, there is seating available inside. And my boyfriend chose the French toast bagel with butter and maple syrup, wow! We were thoroughly impressed. These bagels are so tasty! Took home 6 bagels, 1lb of plain cream cheese, and 1/4 lb of jalapeño cheddar cream cheese. With two coffees and a bottled apple juice everything came to just under $30. The staff behind the counter was super friendly and used a couple of the patron's first names so they have regulars. So they participate in several ordering platforms, doordash, grubhub, postmates, and their own platform, hungerrush. Great. Now they need to be able to give accurate times. My order today was given a 10 minute pickup time. I arrived at 20 minutes and my order was not ready for another 7. If the order mechanism said 45 minutes or 1 hour that would be fine as long as it is ready near the time stated. Was pleasantly surprised checking out this place for the first time before a meeting. I never been to this place before and was sad I've been missing out on this place for years. Stopping in for Breakfast, the place was a little packed with generations of people, some regulars with their bagels and coffee while others a little more business and busy looking chomp down on a bagel before heading to a meeting like me. I decided to order a chorizo, egg and cheese sandwich on a toasted spinach bagel. I'm glad that they had a couple other options for meats on top of the typical bacon or sausage. The sandwich was toasted well, warm and smoking with a hint of heat from the chorizo. Sliced in half it was easy to enjoy the sandwich though it was a little greasy but expected with the chorizo. The location is a little bigger than other Bagel shops I've been to but the Kettle Bagels needs it as all the tables were full when I arrived. The line wasn't that bad as they were able to take orders quickly and start the orders quickly. I originally wanted to sit down and enjoy my sandwich and chocolate milk but all the tables were full. I did ask to have my sandwich here but with the tables full I took it to go. I did appreciate the man taking my order willing to ask a finished party to leave so I can enjoy my sandwich but that was all right. The menu is large with breakfast, snack and lunch time items that you can order at all times. I saw a man order a rib eye sandwich around 9:00am on a roll. It looked packed with meat and would fill me up no problem. You'll find your typical bagels here along with some others. I've seen another local favorite bagel shop of mine have a large selection of spreads but you'll find your favorites and enjoy them nevertheless. What a great place to grab a bagel! After seeing this place on Yelp, I decided to check out Kettle Bagels. The place itself is a very nice, modern storefront without the trappings of most modern places. This is the closest I've had to a real deal NY Bagel in Connecticut. The exterior has that firm resistance to it, and the inside remains soft and chewy like a baguette. A lot of bagel places have bagels that are the same consistency, like a bread donut. Kettle Bagels has really nailed their bagel making technique. I ordered a double egg, sausage, bacon and cheese on an everything bagel. They did not skimp on any of the aforementioned ingredients. I'm presently in a state of chrysalis as my body shuts down and I cocoon into a bagel induced hibernation. I wouldn't call myself a regular, but when I do visit, which I would say is at least once or twice a month, I've always received great service. I could be wrong, but I believe her name is Michelle, she's always so friendly and has conversation with myself and my fiancé when we come in. There's been a few times when I've come and they have been out of the snickerdoodle iced coffee, which I delicious, by the way - but, it happens and it's almost always later in the day. This place wasn't here the last time I was in Connecticut so I was pretty excited to see it so close to my parents house. The place looks really nice and clean inside and was fully stocked when we came in around 9:00AM. They have tons of beverage options, tons of different bagels, and a ton of breakfast sandwiches that look huge.
