I did an ubereats order through here. I've ordered here before but have never had this experience. Today I ordered the chorizo and an egg bagel with lox spread. The chorizo was either absolutely spoiled or cooked in old oil. It was so bad. I hate leaving bad reviews but this is necessary considering I potentially consumed spoiled pork. I had to throw it away. The bagel was okay, and I dint have complaints, but the bite of chorizo turned me off so bad that I ended up throwing out the other half of my bagel. read more

My first attempt of trying Kettle Bagels I went on a weekday to the Queen Street location. They are open until 2 PM and I arrived at 11 AM to take home some bagels,and try a lunch sandwich there. The only thing they had there was one rainbow bagel, and they were not bringing any more bagels out the girls said. Why are they even open. So I am giving them a second chance at this location. I ordered a half dozen variety of bagels. One bagel I ordered was the large onion bagel. When I got home I notice I received a regular size bagel. I also order two cheddar bagels. It was a slice of season cheese slap on top of a plain bagel. If you try to put the bagel top in a toaster the cheese will come off. So you have a toasted bottom and a non toasted top. First off, the info on their website is outdated as the price for a bakers dozen has gone up significantly--almost $18 for a bakers dozen and this is with a discount. These are really not NY style bagels and instead seem like Panera bagels - they are more bread like than chewy. The blueberry bagel is bland with no real blueberry taste and the French toast bagel is an overly sweet sugar bomb. While service is good (hence my two star), the bagels are not good. I'm going to stick to Shef's in Cheshire for real chewy bagels. read more

The good is usually the food quality, but I feel like that is also slipping recently. I've been coming here for many years. The bagels are good. The friendly woman at the counter who always calls me "mommy" is super sweet! However, my take out orders have been wrong too many times. Something missing or not done correctly. I usually let it go because it's a 17 minute round trip to fix it. But today was the last straw. I ordered a make your own omelette. I specified that I wanted a scramble, not a fold in omelette (they have this as an option!) and that I wanted a chicken sausage patty on the side (paid extra) and a French toast buttered bagel (paid extra). My husband gets back with it and there is no bagel. I call to tell them. They say come back and they will make it. Then I open my omelette. No chicken sausage and it's a fold in omelette. I call back to tell them this. They said they will make the whole thing over. I go there and back and get home to find the bagel and chicken sausage are there but the omelette was folded in. I'm annoyed. I've decided I won't be going there anymore after all these years. Shef's Bagels or Fancy bagels will be getting my future business. It's nice to have a bagel shop in the local area I'm just not a fan of these! Got the cheddar today and it had an overwhelming taste of thyme in it! Also the cheddar was falling off the bagel! Requested it toasted but it was still soggy and overall I'd say no matter how many times you request a toasted bagel it doesn't taste toasted! "Delicious Breakfast & Lunch" I tried Kettle Bagels at the new location on Meriden-Waterbury Turnpike in Plantsville, Ct. And I'm happy I did. So far, I've been there twice. First visit, I went for lunch. I had "The Vito" on a roll. Salami, capicola, pepperoni, provolone, hot peppers, lettuce, tomato, onion, oil & vinegar, and herbs. It tasted like they sprinkle oregano or italian seasoning on the sandwich. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious, but the herbs are what really put the sandwich over the top. My second visit was for breakfast. I had a chorizo, egg and cheese on a roll. I assumed that they would take a chorizo sausage and split it, grill or fry it, and put it on the sandwich. But they did something that I've never seen before. They had chorizo sliced thin like a deli meat and put a few slices on the sandwich. The presentation was better and it was much easier to eat than a couple hunks of sausage that would most likely slip out of the side anyway. Both sandwiches were very good. read more

This place is big on the inside. The first bagel I tried was an asiago bagel with maple bacon cream cheese. The bagel was soft and had a solid taste of asiago. My problem with this bagel was the cream cheese. There wasn't a lot of bacon in it, maybe one piece per half. Overall it was ok. The other bagel I tried was a sausage egg and cheese on an egg everything bagel. I have nothing to complain about with this bagel. The egg everything bagel complimented the sandwich nicely. I overall would recommend this place and will go there if i'm looking for somewhat exotic cream cheese flavors read more

I really enjoy it here. Kettle is my go-to for door dashing food when I don't have breakfast/lunch. They are ALWAYS consistent. I went to the location myself once and it was very clean and you can tell the manager/owner runs an organized kitchen. I'm happy to recommend my clients there since I work in Southington when they ask where to get a bite to eat. read more

Great service ! Did take out from them on their app which helps you to accumulate points and as a first time user - they give you a discount ! The reason we went was because of the gluten free options and breakfast sandwiches ! During my pregnancy all I wanted was a toasted gluten free bacon egg and cheese and this place hit the spot ! The food and eggs were real unlike a Dunkin donut or other chain branch and they accommodated so many different options. When my husband ordered a cinnamon raisin bagel - they happened to be sold out but called us right away to ask what we wanted as a replacement. What great food and customer service! I called back 7/14/2021 told them about the day before and ordered again to hopefully redeem themselves. We have been here several times. I keep hoping things improve, but they don't. Food is quite tasty, when done correctly, which unfortunately is often not the case. Today may have been the last straw. In my wife's omelette, I subbed American cheese for sausage, but they still up charge for cheese even when wanting to sub for a more expensive meat. Is what it is. I get home and there is no cheese. I call them to ask to make me a new omelette, I don't need new home fries just the omelette. I leave to go, and halfway there my phone rings with them wanting me to bring the omelette. She then asks me to go back and get it, which I refuse since I'm already put out of my way and halfway there. I have my wife send me pics to show them. The manager or owner asks me if I brought the omelette and I say no, to which he tells me they could have put cheese on it had I brought it. I ask him how good a now cold omelette would be with cold cheese out on instead of being cooked and melted inside as it should have been. His response is an incredulous "so you want a whole new omelette?". So they hadn't even started her omelette and I have to wait there for them to make it. Yes, I paid extra for cheese and yes, I want a hot and correctly made omelette. Not one apology, no empathy for the fact that my own wrap is at home now cold or I missed eating breakfast with my kids so I could get my wife a new omelette. Not the first mistake on our order, though it may be the last one. Mistakes happen, but customer service is as important as the food. And ironically, I twice to them I only needed an omelette and don't need new sides, and they end up giving me new sides anyway. read more

Walked in this morning at 10am to try this place out to find the manager "Joe" arguing with a customer over the phone over an order mistake. That wouldn't have been a big deal if Joe didnt hang up after the call and immediately say loudly "the girls can't take any orders right" .
