    Pho Tai with beef balls

Staff and service is attentive and great here! They are baby, kid friendly by bringing crayons and coloring paper with special kid sized cups with straw! Not a lot of small business restaurants offer that as well as a kid's menu. Food is solid- my usual go to is pho with rare steak and beef balls added to the pho. They offer a wide selection of entrees to choose from. They come around frequently to refill water, ask if everything is ok and even come by to offer a spoon replacement since our baby toddler tossed it to the floor and they heard it clank. It was sweet of them but we didn't need since we know our toddler will just toss it again. I come here many times not only for their pho, taro milk tea, banh mis, Vietnamese coffee, but also because it's so kid friendly here. I actually get to eat while my toddler is a bit entertained.

Came here for the second time recently for lunch. The staff are friendly, attentive, and accommodating. I was looking for a comfortable spot for some pho in the area and Kettles delivered. Got the combo pho (dac biet) with all garnishes on the side, and it came out quickly. Only concern was lack of hand soap in the women's restroom, which was otherwise clean. Hope they keep that stocked next time. I had hand sanitizer luckily.

Very nice decor inside and polite staff. Tried the dumplings appetizer, bbq short ribs and a beef combo pho. The short ribs were way too fatty and had little meat. The pho was decent. Service was very slow. Overall an average restaurant at best

We were in town for the Charles M. Schulz Museum and were feeling very hungry and cold (rainy day!) afterwards. We found Kettles on Yelp and our experience was overall positive. First, the service was wonderful--the 2 gentlemen who helped us mainly were very friendly and efficient. They checked in with us a couple of times throughout our meal and got our check to us quickly in the end, which I really appreciated. We both ordered the rare steak pho (medium for me, large for my husband) and Thai iced teas. While the food was decent and we had no big issues, we didn't really feel like the 2 bowls of pho were worth $18 and $19, before tax. It was just a bit expensive for what it was, and same goes for the Thai teas that were almost $8 each, also before tax. The restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. The restroom was dimly lit and on the older side, but otherwise fine. Thanks for helping us warm up on a cold day!

I had not been to Kettles since I retired and was craving Vietnamese so came here for lunch. I appreciated that the noise level was quite low and the restaurant appeared very clean. The server was attentive, patient & friendly. We had the Mango Salad which was delicious- tasted so fresh with great flavor. The Orange Tofu was extremely sweet (which some may like)- I'd not order this again. My Vietnamese Coffee was nice and strong- a little pricey I thought at $7.75. All in all a good meal with kind service and a nice variety on their menu.

This was a nice, warm hug for my stomach on a cold day. I got the vegan tofu pho, with the tofu fried. It doesn't usually come fried, it comes soft. They kindly fried it for me when I asked without issue. The broth was flavorful, and this soup was very filling. My significant other got the dumpling pho with ramen noodles and he absolutely loved it! This was my first time back in probably almost 7 years. I definitely will come back.

Food is good as always. Just wouldn't get the mojito again at that price, especially it being wine based. Spring rolls were okay. We enjoyed our previous meals prior much more. Think our selection this time around just didn't hit the spot.

    Welcome!

If I could give this place 10 stars I would. Service is outstanding. If only I could recall the two names of the staff that waited on me two different times. I believe their names were Lilay and Gabriel but I could be wrong, anywho... service was outstanding! The moment I walked in I was immediately greeted every time. I was always asked if I had any questions about the menu and was constantly checked on while dinning. Food was delish! I've had the pho and banh mi sandwich and both were delicious, portions were good and the flavors were even better. The restaurant is a big location with tons of seating indoors. The atmosphere is very chill and relaxing, you can stop by for lunch or dinner and have a very casual experience. Tons of parking in a private lot. If you're in the area and looking for PHO I highly recommend Kettles. Enjoy!

This place is the best! I always come and thoroughly enjoy my meal every time I am in town. The menu is majority gluten free and is labeled -- major bonus points-- and every single dish I've had has been delicious. The Korean BBQ short ribs are phenomenal. Not to mention they have GF egg rolls! Service is always good and the ambiance is nice casual. A favorite in Santa Rosa.

I've driven by this place a dozen times and finally got a chance to try it. Decor and service are great. The food is also delicious and I especially liked the banh mi sandwich.

I am Viet. This is probably the best pho I've had outside of Vietnam. The broth is clear, flavorful, and so delicately seasoned. This. Is. Soup. For. The. Soul. We tried both the beef pho and chicken pho. Both had distinct soup bases flavor profiles. I'd drive the 2.5 hours back this way just to eat here again. So happy we happen to find this place because we were at the Charles Schultz Museum.

Here is my scoring card for this restaurant: 1) Location: ( 5 Point ) - Great location for customer to see and find. Great parking for street parking and back side with parking lot parking. 2) Decoration : (2 Point) - They still have the original decoration. Clean. 3) Price: ( 4 point)- The price is competitive but still a little bit pricey compare to other same stars and type food they serve 4) Quality and Taste : ( 3 point)- The quality is ok, food taste is good and portions are below average . ( must be inflation ) 5) Type of cuisine standard : ( 4 point) - The style of Vietnamese food they serve is pretty close to the way it was prepare in Vietman . Not bad! But some dishes did have slightly modify to cater the customer's need. So this is more like a fusion style. Overall it's not bad and I thinks it's great to give it a try and let me know what you think. Go foodies Total max is 25 Score 18 Stars = 72% round up to 3 stars

a few weeks ago we took a trip to Chandelier Tree and Avenue of the Giants, on the way back we passed by Santa Rosa and we were hungry, my wife found this restaurant in Santa Rosa because my wife wanted some Pho. It's across from a big shopping center with all the food restaurants, BJ and others. The restaurant is very nice inside, clean and plenty of tables. All young servers were quite energetic and attentive. We both wanted Pho and we ordered 1 large and 1 regular special bowl. We also wanted to try the salt and pepper calamari. The large bowl for me wasn't so large, not much noodles, I would be hungry after finishing this large bowl. The soup is catered to the local, is quite sugar sweet although the pho flavors are there. I had to ask for lemon to subdue the sweetness, now it became sweet and sour soup. Normally I like the drink all the soup if it's good, but I could only eat the meats and the noodles and left the soup. The salt and pepper calamari is quite tasty but the calamari is a little chewy, I believe these are frozen ones. I did finish the plate although my wife didn't like the texture of the calamari. I'm not sure if there are other VN restaurants in Santa Rosa, but this one came up and my wife found it. To me a bowl of pho should hit my spot, both quantity and quality for the price of $18. Anyhow, it's Santa Rosa and not San Jose.

We were greeted by the friendly owner (?) and he told us we could take a seat wherever we wanted. There were several people enjoying a late lunch on both sides of the restaurant. I noticed that most of the customers had ordered the pho. We decided to try: - Fresh spring rolls - delicious! Large shrimp, fresh ingredients. Tasty dip. - Garlic noodle plate - noodles were a nice thickness, bouncy and flavored well. Protein was the bbq pork as we were told that's a customer favorite. Veggies were hot and cooked perfectly. - Steak pho - broth was delightful, clean and fresh tasting, with thin slices of tender meat. Noodles were a nice consistency and not mushy. I loved it even more with the bean sprouts, jalapeno, basil and a touch of lime. Everything was timed perfectly, spring rolls came out first for us to enjoy. Server, who I think is the owner, checked on us and refilled my water without having to ask. He promptly cleans up tables after customers leave so the place always looks clean and neat. Overall, a lovely meal. We will be back soon! Located in the Larkfield Center between Cookie... Take a Bite and Exchange Bank. Lots of parking available.

I ordered roast pork, hoping it was a long cooked tender roast pork. Nope. It was a pork roast that had been sliced and was pretty darn tough with a sizable fat cap that was tough and rubbery and did not add to the richness. The only veg. In my sandwich was a lot of hot pickled daikon and a tiny extremely thin slice of cucumber and a tiny very dark green thing that maybe used to be cilantro. ALL of the veg in the sandwich was hot. I have never had hot veggies in a bahn mi. The bread was over toasted and killed the top of my mouth. I think they built the sandwich and THEN put it in either a microwave or oven so that everything, including the vegetables were very warm. There was no pate nor butter, just mayo and tough meat and a lot of warm daikon. No carrot whatsoever. No jalapeño.. And a VERY tiny bit of cooked slimy cilantro. I have never seen cooked cilantro in a sandwich before. The bread was also over toasted and cut the top of my mouth like crazy. IT was awful. I like bahn mi because I enjoy the contrast between the warm meat and the pickled fresh veggies, crunchy with the cool sweet pickle of the daikon and carrot, with some jalapeño heat and some fresh cilantro, with a rich pate on lightly toasted roll to add richness and dimension. This was not that. This was a truly terrible bahn mi. The staff seemed completely overwhelmed even though there were only two customers.
