Gersten did a very thorough examination and gave me multiple options for treatment, which he explained very clearly.

People fly from out of state to have him work on their hernias and the best part is he can do them without mesh. I also have been going to him to inject my spider veins! He does such an excellent job! By the time we are finished I can already see a difference. His office is beautiful and his practice is very precise! I can guarantee if you meet him that you will feel nothing short of comfortable with his knowledge and bedside manner. Wonderful general surgeon with a great reputation!!

We could not find anyonein this area that performed suture surgery, so we took the chance during covid to have it done in Calif. All went well before, during and after the surgery. Dr. Brown is one in a million. When I saw his recommendations for supplement support before and after surgery, it convinced me further that we had the right surgeon. My husband has had only a fabulous result. I am grateful we don't need to worry about a mesh that is so dangerous. Please read up from the articles on Dr. Brown's site. He is a kind and cares. He ends every phone conversation with "Let me know if you have any more questions". I am not sure if he has retired and if he is, we wish him well and a happy retirement. Simply the BEST! Thanks, Dr. Brown!

I returned a couple of times because of post-surgery pain (was told it would be about 3 months until I was better), the last time at the 1-year mark, still in pain, asking what was wrong with my knee, which hadn't healed and I still limping. Dr Ting had a horrible attitude...it was as if I was bothering him with my questions. He took an Xray, said my knee looked great, despite the swelling around the knee cap. He said I could get another cortisone shot, which I did not want after two failed shots. He said my options were a brace or a shot. In disbelief, I said neither was a good option - I wanted my knee to be back to 'reasonable' normal. I asked what to do and his exact words were "Just deal with it." Never imagined a doctor would be so detached and cold with someone in pain, and give an answer so off-putting. He got his money for the surgery; after care is a forgotten skill in that office. Think carefully, before you commit to have him do the work. Unless you are a famous athlete and can donate an autographed shirt to his collection, you are simply not important to him. He got his money for the surgery - follow up care seems a bother to him. Just remember his answer to me when I asked what could be done...the statement "Just Deal with It" says it all.

Dr. Lee had a very cool attitude towards me after he looked at my passed records. He knew I wasn't one of his regular patients, even though my other gastro Dr. said he was the one that did my gallbladder surgery. Had no record of it!! He couldn't help me at all. He just recommended a pain management group who I have already seen, and would NOT see again. This pain group asked me to order a special pill that I've never heard of and that was out of state, pretty expensive AND not covered by insurance. Not sounding to normal to me at all. Dr. Lee really didn't seem interested in helping me at all. The visit was a waste of time and very disappointing.

This doctor is also known as Yen Chung (Andrew) lee…read more My husband accompanied me to see this doctor/surgeon. We both initially felt Dr. Lee was a bit arrogant. My husband mentioned a painful bodily issue I had experienced and Dr. Lee completely cut him off. He was somewhat dismissive regarding my pain issues following surgery done by Dat Tien Nguyen. He commented that I should simply be happy that the two breast lumps were not cancerous and basically to get over it; meaning the injuries and pain. I told him I was grateful the lumps were not cancerous, yet my pain was unbearable and I had blood oozing from my nipple. After he saw the blood coming out of my nipple he seemed to understand my pain and issues were legit. He did order blood work and an ultrasound, which was good. He reaffirmed what other pain specialists had told me; the nerve damage suffered during Nguyen's surgery would be with me for life. The nerve pain was and IS in my breast and runs down into my ribs. I told Dr. Lee I had seen Dr. Peter Wong at Tri Valley Physicians about a week prior to my visit with him. I told him Dr. Wong prescribed an antibiotic for an infection, which I soon learned I did not have. Dr. Lee also reaffirmed that patients should not be treated with antibiotics if they do not have an infection; as was my case. Keep that in mind folks; be certain you actually DO have an infection before being treated for an infection. I had the ultrasound performed, yet wasn't called with the results as promised. I called his office and an employee, Frida took my message regarding the test results. Frida (hope I am spelling her name correctly) was a gem. She is a nice lady, compassionate and very professional. She gave Dr. Lee my message, yet he still failed to call with the test results. I called again the following day, as I'd been waiting on pins and needles for the test results. Frida said my test results were setting on his desk and had been for a couple days. I could tell she was frustrated too that he had not yet called me. Finally, Dr. Lee did call with the test results, yet he did not speak to me. Instead he left very detailed, private medical testing information on my answering machine. I was livid when I retrieved the message. I called him and expressed being angered by him leaving the detailed testing results on my answering machine for my children to hear and he did not care. ...HIPAA violation. You guessed it, another doctor added to the "Do Not Recommend" list. Sadly, that list has become very long.
