We praise God for Kevin Ginnings Plumbing! They were a definite answer to prayer during an uncertain and problematic situation. We had a leak in our 300 feet of house waterline between the meter and house, and Kevin, Jim, Chase, and Jacob were phenomenal in helping us quickly isolate and fix the leak, which ended up being in an odd location 30 feet from the house on the bottom of the waterline. The best words that come to mind to describe our experience after having Kevin and his team fix our leak are: genuine care, professionalism, expertise, profound knowledge, diligence, promptness, preparedness, and very fair pricing, especially given the circumstances. Ours was a difficult excavation trench and waterline location involving a retaining wall, plantings, and concrete landscape border. And despite encountering 2 landscape irrigation lines, two unforeseen electrical lines for our septic lift station, and an unforeseen PVC septic lateral, Kevin's team either avoided damage or they quickly adapted to the situation and repaired any and all damage expertly and efficiently. And despite having to use heavy equipment, it was very noticeable after the repair that Kevin handled the machine in such a way that the amount of disturbed yard area outside the trench was surprisingly minimal. Kevin also informed us that our service line was inferior Type L copper and not Type K (hence the leak), so that we can be on guard for future leaks. Finding a knowledgeable, trustworthy, reasonably priced plumbing company that has great, hard-working employees is nearly impossible these days, but for the Kansas City metro region, Kevin and his staff proved to us that they are that company. I don't usually write reviews online, but I felt compelled to give Kevin Ginnings Plumbing Service some props for today, I called them at 2:50 pm and spoke to Julie on the phone. She was completely informative as to pricing and availability for the rest of that afternoon, put me on hold for 30 seconds, and found me a technician. She said it would be later that afternoon. At 4:50pm, the plumber (Jimmy) called me and told me he was on the way and was very specific on the time, Keep in mind the first two companies I found online and called told me it would be 2-3 days. He showed up exactly when he said he would. He came in and immediately put plastic shoe covers on (it was snowy outside) and made his way into the restroom where I was having my plumbing issue. He diagnosed the issue instantly, assured me he could fix it, and went out to his van to get the tools he needed. He took his plastic shoe covers off and then put them back on when he re-entered. It took him 10 minutes to remedy the issue. This plumber, Jimmy Daniel, was one of the nicest contractors I've ever met. He was professional the entire time, and made me feel very comfortable while he was inside the house. The price was exactly the same price as I was quoted previously by Julie (the minimum amount), and the area he was working in was even cleaner than when he got there. I will definitely recommend Kevin Ginnings Plumbing Service to other friends and family. I hadn't heard of them before my internet search today, but they literally saved the day for me. We could hear water running in our crawl space, the toilet was not flushing right, and you could smell sewage. Prior to this, we would have to call the local plumber to unclog our drain every 2 to 3 months. After three days of the recent polar blast of cold air, one of my waterlines ruptured causing me to immediate shutdown all water to our home and as it was Xmas day it was impossible to get a plumber especially when hundreds of homes in the same area were the same problem. The next day I called 4 or 5 plumbing companies, and they all were telling me it would be 3 days at least before a plumber was available. Fortunately, I called Ginnings and before the day was over two of their plumbers (Dale and Chase) showed up and repaired the pipe and restored water to our home. The plumbers were friendly and efficient with the work they performed. We are so grateful as we would have to live in a hotel for 3 or 4 days which would be inconvenient and expensive. We found out my house had a major leak between the water meter and our home, and we were going through 6x our regular monthly water usage. This was a big job and Christmas was 4 days away. The team from Kevin Ginnings provided us with multiple options and competitive proposals with detailed plans for fixing the leak. Their 4-man crew showed up the following morning with fully stocked trucks and all the necessary heavy equipment. Ron and Matt were awesome! Ron was incredibly clear about what he would be doing before he did it. He also tried a few cheaper fixes to see if they would work before doing the more expensive repair - which it turned out that is what was needed. But he exhausted all other possibilities before replacing the pipe trap (in the basement behind my washer). He also showed me how to keep my outside faucets from leaking by tightening the wadding instead of replacing the faucet. He could have replaced the faucets and got another $650 out of me, but he just tightened them - which fixed the problem at no charge. Thank you, Ron and Matt! I've used the company 4 times; was sold on them the first time when the owner talked me OUT of buying a new garbage disposal cuz he could fix the old pretty easily. How often does THAT happen? Also, just recently i had them install a 2nd toilet in my house and it wasn't until the toilet was completely installed that we all realized the elongated bowl was too long and the door wouldn't shut! I emailed owner, confessing I had bought the wrong toilet, but pleading that perhaps we could agree on a "half-price" re-do -- each sharing a bit of the responsibility. Brant Merriam came to my house today and did an exceptional job. I had a previous plumber come in who did not fully do his job fixing all parts that needed fixed with my toilet and Brant came in and showed me the problems and corrected them fixing all the issues. After he was done he had me come in so he could personally show me exactly what he did. He also placed caps on my toilet and cleaned off paint and the porcelain. Kevin Ginnings saved me twice this year. My main drain was backed up in the house, I call 5 other people to help and couldn't get anyone to come in less than 2 days. I call Ginnings Plimbing at 4:45pm and sure enough they would come first thing the next morning. They fixed my problem and everyone I spoken with has been very polite and kind. Then I had a problem with my water valve coming in the house again I got service next day. I feel the charge for the work done is reasonable.
