Came in yesterday to get a smog check for my mom and was extremely happy with Kevin Smog's service. Everyone was very kind and friendly. I was greeted right away and after handing over my keys and registration it took about 15-20 mins because it was a bit busy! I think there was about 2 cars before me. It was just quick and easy! The two people that helped me were both very kind and that itself is the main reason that I would recommend anyone to get their smog check done here. It was only $40 too!! Great all around. This place took my registration form I sat down in their waiting room and finished my nice cold water and when I was done they came to me with paper work stating that it had passed and I just needed to pay $40 to them and then take care of my registration fee with the DMV. I was greeted almost immediately from stepping out of my car. I was asked if I wanted a smog test. I said yes and was told that it would be just a few minutes as they finished up with another customer. I was asked for the keys to my car and my DMV paperwork. Then invited to sit in their waiting room. After less than 15 minutes, they were finished working on my car. In and out in 20 minutes and the cost was a very reasonable $40.00. Thank you Kevin Smog. Anyhoo, back to Kevin, I called after reading his reviews and he got me right in. I went on my lunch hour. It litterly took only 23 minutes and was $40 out the door. I needed a quick smog check, attendants are pretty friendly here especially the younger guy, no appointment with cars ahead of me, Walked in, about 20-30 min later drove out. Ok, my car needed a smog certificate for registration purposes, so, I give Kevin Smog a call. Kevin himself answers the phone. No machine, no "please hold", no Muzac interrupted by "Your call is very important to us, please, blah blah blah", no press 1 for this or that. It's Kevin. On the phone. Plus one right there. So, I explain what year, make, and model of car I have, what are the fees, and when do they have time so I can make an appointment. Well, Kevin (not a recording) says that they have time this afternoon and can fit me in as soon as I'd like. Wait, so I get to choose when I can come in?? Plus two. I take the car over, and they seem busy, but Kevin steps up and greets me with a smile and a handshake, his tech comes right over, says hello, asks for my paperwork and keys, so I give them to him. All this takes place in the span of maybe three minutes. Plus three I have a seat in the waiting room (comfortable chairs, TV, etc.), I don't think I had been seated for more than five minutes, when my car pulls into the shop and the wok begins. Plus four Maybe, maayyybe ten minutes goes by and Kevin (you remember Kevin? The owner. Who answered the phone himself?) comes in and says my car is ready. He has my paperwork all in order and together with my receipt and his business card all held together in a paperclip. See, I kinda liked the paperclip thing cause I don't have to poke myself or rip the paperwork getting a staple out, but I digress. We settle up the bill, then as I stand, so does he, thanks me for my business, smiles and shakes my hand. On my way out through the shop, the technician who worked on my car, smiles, says goodbye, and shakes my hand. Plus five. These guys are prompt, professional, pleasant and friendly, the shop is super clean, and the prices are very reasonable. Take your car here. You will not be sorry. Five stars. This place was very fast and efficient! I came here for a smog check and I was in and out in about 20 minutes. They have a nice little office you can wait in with wifi. They even send the smog check info straight to the DMV after so you can just go home and renew online and your info will be there. read more
