In the past I used a on site repair service which turned out to be a tremendous mistake it wasted a tremendous of my time and it was very expensive My best way to describe that was all talk no performance This is the second time I've used Kevin's and I regret not just going back to them in the 1st place I had a cyber attack in November of 2025 which cleaned out two of my favorite computers which I used for my small business and the on site cost me a lot of time and money to get me nowhere and I'm still not 100 percent back until I went to Kevin and they were extremely affordable Cost me a fraction to get both machines up and running and I am back in business completely they restored all my data assured me there was no virus and the the computer which is an Intel nook is just running perfect so I highly recommend them and if I ever have any issues again I know where to go and I know whom to stay away from So enjoy all right thank you so much talk soon bye now Tim Torbenson read more

My system has been hacked for more than a year by a group who called themselves TrickyWiz, supposedly a Microsoft validated repair service (they are not). They installed a hidden control command in my system that enabled them to crash my computer every few months. They were trying to charge me an exorbitant amount of money to repair the system. I had used Kevin's service in San Clemente in the past, and thought that I should have them look at my system. Anthony, at Kevin's Service in San Clemente, is who I had worked with in the past. He was able to get rid of the crash yesterday. Then when it happened again today, he did a deeper dive and found the hidden command file. He was able to delete it and got me up and running again. Anthony and all of the people working at Kevin's get a big shout out. Great job! I will always go to them for this service. Oh, by the way, I moved to Ohio, and Anthony did it remotely! I would not bring a MacBook Pro to them. On my Mac they fumbled around for a almost a week, not sure if the problem was software or hardware or both. Turned out they had to replace the keyboard. At the beginning I told the technician, there was one volume called "repos" that was not backed up and was the most important to me. He interrupted me and said we back up *everything*. When it came back, it did it had everything, *Except* the the repos volume. It would have been nice if he would he have at least acknowledged the fact that that my repos volume got wiped. My fairly new Canon printer suddenly would not print. I'm old and not too computer savvy. But I have figured out a few things by myself. But, try as I could, I just wasn't able to get this darn printer working. A couple of people in my community recommended Kevin's Computer Service so I gave them a call and I'm so glad I did. We are happy with Kevin's service except for one important concern. We have paid for their monitoring services for three years but were not notified before the last expiration. When we asked that they contact us prior to allowing expiration, we were told by the manager that they text once and email once but don't use Kevin's email address or phone number to identify who is sending it. We don't open emails or texts from unknown sources for well-founded reasons. This is a very poor policy and makes us consider discontinuing their services! read more

I took my computer in because of the spinning wheel that slowed the computer down a lot. I also had a problem with Quicken. Anthony and the other tech were able to fix the problems and were so efficient!! I cannot live without their help!!! I currently find myself in need of a computer repair and I'm reminded of the horrible experience I had at Kevin's years ago. I never left a review but I felt compelled to do so as this experience has bothered me for years. They did unauthorized work on my MacBook without telling me, voiding my warranty. They overcharged me hundreds of dollars on a new battery and claimed I needed work that I didn't need. I had to take it to the Apple store to fix the issues these guys created. No one expects computer tech people to be naturally personable. These are genuine Geeks, after all. But I have to hand it to the savvy pro team at Kevin's San Clemente shop - they've got the downhome vibe you'll need to not only defuse your tech dilemma with a human touch - there's a solid chance they'll have everything set right & in record time. I've been (much to my chagrin) a semi-regular customer for over six years, and so far it's worked out to be consistently positive. The few times I had to come back with any issues were sorted it straight away. It's not the most inexpensive, but it's worth every dime, and they've never overcharged me or sold me you on anything I didn't need. These guys are on point . my outdated Imac 2015 27" power supply failed after being on for 8 years , well i must say it had a good run . never the less these guys fixed it and upgraded it 4tb ssd flash drive and maxed out the ram. so much faster too. Wow way better ! I normally could do a repair like this but the imac is tricky getting into so i took her in to kevins and all the guys where really nice ,pro and did a really good job .
