These guys did a terrible job with my mustang. They reupholstered the seats and were supposed to re-dye the dashboard and armrests. When I got the car back, multiple wrinkles in the seats, misalignment of the welting, and the dye was flaking off everywhere. I brought up the problem and they attempted to fix it...and still problems persisted. Ended up disputing some of the charges and ended up going to a different upholstery shop to get their crappy job fixed. Also had to go back because they forgot to install parts (seat back bumpers and seat latch retainer) It is so clear they rushed the job. And now, the dye job is flaking off again (armrest), so I will have to probably take the car to a different shop to get that fixed. I am happy these guys are closed...when one pays as much as I did for this job, you expect a quality job...not something rushed. If I had known the terrible job that was going to happen, I never would have gone to them in the first place. I am happy they are closed. read more

One of the greatest finds for me. Brought a classic 2004 XJ8 Jag that need a complete headliner repair plus my sunroof was not working properly. These masters completely replaced my headliner and sunroof. Car looks great and I have had people to offer to buy the car for more than I paid for it. Got the headliner of my ride redone a few years back. Excellent job! It looked brand new and perfectly matched the original stuff. I plan to have my seats and the fabric behind the rear seats done soon too. This company restores seats, seatbelts, interiors, and even wraps WHEELSKINS around your steering wheel. No excuse to drive around with a saggy, ripped, aged or torn interior when these guys can tighten you up nicely with prices that are very reasonable. As if they need another five star review to help them out. My experience with Dae and his team was smooth from the very beginning. Don't you just love it when things start off great and they actually end great too? Most of the time if something starts off great, you end up fighting somebody later. Dae and his team worked with me on a date to come in, I told him a million things that I needed done in my car, and not once did he bulk at anything. He just simply replied with we can do that, and they did it. Because I got so much work done, he threw in a couple of easy to do freebies. More than likely, it was stuff they just required some glue. Anywho, Dae and his team did an outstanding job on cleaning the inside of my car. When I got it back it smelled so fresh and so clean...clean! I bought my car in 2009 and the rugs looked wretched. To the point where people advised me to throw them away. When I got them back, it looked like they were brand-new. I was amazed! My leather is 10 years old so I didn't expect for it to actually look brand-new. But it definitely has a brightness to it, which tells me there was some deeply embedded dirt. He even shampooed my ceiling. Before I went to get my car cleaned, I damn near didn't even want to sit in it. I got OCD so if something doesn't look right or smell right or feel right, it ain't right. Knowledge meant, I let my dog terrorize my car a little bit. But now I feel so good getting in my car. They even hand sewed me a new armrest. It matches perfectly with the interior. It's a different color than it was, but it actually looks better because it matches the color of the plastic part it was sitting on. Damn I wish I could go to them for some other car services. I hate the fact that I have to go look for another company and potentially be disappointed. Once I find something good, I stay there. read more

Good and Fast Service :) I came here to get my interior for my roof redone because it was falling down around late August 2017. I have a 97 Saturn and I was pleasantly surprise what a great job they did. I wasn't expecting too much because it was an old car but wow I was very impressed. It looked like a brand new interior roof for a new car, I even forgot I had a light inside my car! We dropped the car off on a Friday morning, and I believe the guy that owns the place helped us out. The car was ready later that evening; wow talk about fast service!! The customer service was good, he gave us a little discount which was very nice of him. I had a great experience with Key Auto earlier this year. The leather on my arm rest console developed a hole, in part due to crappy fabric with the assistance of my then 4yr old. I rode around with it ripped for longer than I care to admit, but then finally got a few quotes and decided on Key Auto Upholstery given their pricing and friendly customer service. I was very impressed with the final product. The color matched well and so did the stitching. You wouldn't know that it has been replaced. I NEEDED to update my review after my most recent trip to Key. Dae has gone above and beyond expectations and 5 stars is simply not enough to describe my level of satisfaction. After having a great first experience (passenger and rear leather seats replaced) I decided to come back and have my driver seat done to match, since he offered me a discount. I repeat... I came in to have the one driver seat replaced. In less than a week Dae replaced my seat (to perfection). Then he: recovered my leather console (at no additional charge); fixed my manual switch (he noticed the velcro needed replacement; and discovered my keyless entry was having "blinking" issues and he took the car to his mechanic friend and they fixed the problem (again no charge). All of this additional work without even being asked... Oh and then he offered to install my new rear speakers (no charge), and fix my window motor and replace my windshield fluid motor... at just the cost for the parts. Seriously?! This place cannot be for real. Dae's professionalism, trustworthiness, reliability, efficiency, and desire to make his customers happy - all while offering an amazingly quality product at a great price has blown my mind. I felt completely taken care of and it felt like it was my own dad was taking care of me and my car. I ordered a replacement top online for my Nissan 350z roadster. He did a great job installing it at a much more reasonable price than I was quoted at SureFit and another place in Arlington. I dropped it off in the morning and picked it up that afternoon. Most places wanted me to leave it for 2 days. The top looks great and the defroster on the rear glass window still works, so I'm happy! There is a "waiting room", but it's pretty grimy and I wouldn't hang out there all day. There's an Enterprise car rental place about a mile or so away that will come pick you up and drop you back off. read more

I bought a used s2000 that had a soft installed by Key Auto Upholstery by the previous owner. After owning the car for 4 months, I noticed a leak in the trunk and started investigating where the leak came from. All signs pointed to the soft top where it meets the rain rail. I contacted Mr. Park and he remembered the car and said he would check it out. Although I did not produce or have the original receipt, he was able to obtain a new top from the manufacturer and install a new rain rail and moulding for me. It took longer than expect since the moulding was a special order part but all in all, I left happy. read more

I had an extremely positive experience with repair of the glass sunroof on my 2007 Mini Cooper S. It began last Saturday when the roof - which had stopped opening properly years before - was stuck in a partially open position and rain was in the forecast. The car is street parked so I absolutely needed a solution fast. An auto body shop in Alexandria recommended Mr. Dae Park and Key Auto Upholstery. I left a message at the shop and got an immediate call back from Mr. Park saying he could have his guys take a look at it - no appointment on a Saturday - and see if they could help. He welcomed me when I arrived, and pulled one of his team off another job to diagnose the problem while I waited . The electric motor was shot, but they could get the roof to a position where it wouldn't leak and he said he would call around on Monday to find a replacement. Mr. Park called on Tuesday with word that he had found a replacement for a fraction of the price the dealership had quoted me a couple of years before. I was planning a move and needed the car for errands late in the week, but Mr.Park let me drop the the car off on Friday and promised to have the job done by early Saturday afternoon. He went out of his way to accommodate my schedule. You rarely find that kind of service these days. Saturday comes, and Mr. Park calls to say I should come by and he'll pick me up at the Huntington Metro. Again, amazing service. The roof was fixed (for the first time in years) but he is disappointed because the pop-up wind deflector prevents the roof from closing with a single push of the switch. The roof closes just fine with a few short pulses of the switch. It's not perfect, so he proposes a further reduction of the already reasonable price. He takes pride in a job well done, and pleasing a customer was a priority. This is an 11 year old car that I'm planning to sell as part of my move. I'm delighted with the results, and floored by the more than reasonable price. Mr. Park is a true gentleman and man of his word. I would recommend Key Auto Upholstery without reservations to anyone who wants a quality job and to deal with a business that has integrity. read more

I went to Key Upholstery fort an estimate to replace a headliner,,replace seal on the sunroof and replace the vinyl on the landau top. I was providing all the necessary materials and it was only for labor.Lee gave me a very high estimate so I told him I was to think about it. Later i called him and he agreed to do the job for $450 so I went there from Arlington to leave mi car and then he told me it will be $1250 So I told him no way. They don't keep their word. He said he will do only the headliner for $450 when somewhere else the do it for $195 including material. read more

Simple job, but they were fantastic! They really know what they're doing and seem to be able to handle cars of all types and conditions.

Was willing to work with me on pricing for what I wanted but the quality and service was not good. I needed the leather seats in my car restored because they were fading; they gave me the best price but left my car a mess, debris everywhere (I MEAN NAILS..PINS CREWS...CLIPS AND PARTS TO MY SEATS EVERYWHERE), did not reconnect my seats, (LITERALLY REACH IN AND PICK UP MY DRIVERS SEAT AND REAR BENCH) did not reconnect the electrical components to the seats, and got paint dust everywhere. Not to mention the seats look better than they where but looks like a quick sprayed on job. Then when I called and asked them what happened to reconnecting the seats and the electronic seat adjustments not working now after driving home the owner said they don't know and that they didn't remove the seats.. REALLY... So how did you do the work then and have seat parts all over my car?! THEN I asked about why the seats are not bolted back in and he said it was already like that. The car is a one owner from my grand aunt and she hardly ever drove it so there's no way possible she bought a new car many years ago with no seats bolted down. So his attitude after was very poor to take responsibility for the shoddy job. I was not happy about the outcome, I was only happy that the seats themselves just looked better than before. Would I return here? probably not without some mitigation from the owner to correct the mistakes THEY did, with a promise that this wont happen again. But at this point I do not recommend.... and if you do use them, be sure to carefully inspect and hold them accountable at your own risk for work done. read more

The driver side seat seam of my car had begun to unravel, and I wanted to get it fixed before the whole seam came apart. Dai's examination revealed that the seam had actually split along the stitching, requiring replacement of the side and seat leather. Ordering the matching leather only took 2 days. When I brought my car back, I opted to take Dai's offer of a ride to the Metro rather than spending 2 hours in the rather isolated waiting room. When the technician actually started the repair, Dai authorized replacing a larger than planned area since the seat was more worn than could be seen originally. I really appreciated the fact that the extra repair was done at no extra cost. The repaired seat looks perfect. The price was more than fair. The work was done in the time frame given. Dai was very good to work with. I highly recommend to anyone who needs auto upholstery work. read more
