April 13th I can definitely see why this shop is appointment-only. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They do great work, and their pricing was much better than other quotes I received.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I have a 2004 Toyota Solara that I inherited, and the soft top clearly hadn't been replaced before. They communicated well throughout the process, and I'd recommend coming in ahead of time so they can assess exactly what you'll need. In my case, they let me know I needed a rain gutter along with the replacement. They were also willing to install the top I provided (with the understanding that it wouldn't come with a warranty), which I appreciated. On top of that, they stayed after hours so I could pick up my car, which meant a lot. I know how much that can impact someone's day. The reason for 4 stars is that part of the interior lining came loose a few days after the installation. I got it done April 10th. I was able to fix one section, but not the rear. I do understand that since the top was provided and had been sitting uninstalled, some issues may come up. I've reached out and am waiting to hear back, and I'll update this review based on how that experience goes. Update (April 13th): I wanted to update my review--I'm really happy with how this was handled. I was able to come in the same day, and they fixed the interior lining perfectly. I forgot to add that day of they discovered I needed a new passenger side tension cable and they got it done on time ontop of the original service. They explained that the top I provided had excess fabric on the backing, which is what prevented the rear section from attaching properly. They also took a look at the middle section and let me know that if it comes loose again, they can secure it further with screws to prevent future issues. I really appreciate that they worked with the parts I brought and still made everything come together correctly. That kind of flexibility goes a long way. Took my 2015 Ford F-150 Lariat to Lim's to have them install back cover, lower seat cover, and new foam cushion for the driver's seat as well as a console lid cover. The parts were ordered from a supplier in Texas that manufactures factory replacement design parts. Lim's was selected to do the installation. The parts were a perfect color and manufactured to be an exact factory replacement. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Lim's gave me an excellent quotation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I dropped off the truck on Wednesday afternoon with an appointment for the work to be done on Thursday. They called that the truck was ready at 11am on Thursday. When I arrived, I could not believe how perfect the install was done!! All looked like a brand new factory installation. I went to "LIM'S TOP & CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY" earlier to day (07/15/2026) to have my sunroof checked for a leak. Gave Lim my keys to my car I believe that's his name,(but I'm not a 100% sure of his name). Anyway by the time he poured some water over my sunroof from a watering can and returned my keys, my drivers door handle was completely BROKEN and hanging off the door IN A MATER OF FIFTEEN MINUTES. I asked him what went wrong with my door handle and that "Lim" man stood there and LIED to me and stated that is was like that when he started doing the testing. A VERY BIG LIE. Any REPUTABLE business that is going to work on one's car and realizes the car has an issues, (especially one that is100% visible) one would definitely point that out before even laying a finger on it especially when it is so obvious. That man broke my car door handle and stood there cuss me out while spit was flying from his mouth and completely lied about breaking my door handle that was in perfect condition when he took position of my car. Please be very, very careful and mindful of where you take your cars or other items for repair. HE BROK IT AND LIED ABOUT. I WILL NOT RECOMMEND "LIM'S CXUSTOM TOP AND UPHOLSTERY to anyone, please stay away. Also the waiting room was filthy and had a strong stench of chemicals. I took my car to the dealership because the rear passenger side was leaking water. The dealership said the sunroof drain was clogged but they couldn't fix it and to take the car to an upholstery shop. I thought that was strange but started researching auto upholstery shops near me. So glad I found Lims. I was nervous they wouldn't even know what I was talking about but they understood exactly what needed to be done. I took my car in to do a water test and was able to fix it the next day. It was going to be a rainy week and they understood the urgency and got to it as quickly as possible. This place is amazing! My Porsche 981 Cayman's headliner delaminated with out warning. I read the reviews and decided to make an appointment. They got me in on a weekend. There were plenty of color options for the headliner including upgrades like Alcántara/ Race-Tex for Porsche aficionados. I went this the OEM color match. The install was flawless. My car was clean and all of my panels were reinstalled along with electronic components. There was no Porsche tax for this job. You couldn't tell there was any disassembly. Dropped me like a rock, multiple times! I started out by requesting an informal quote online (to save time before coming in). I was pleased to get a response. I replied to that email asking for the best time to come in for a formal quote (no response). Later, I decided to stop by in person. I was told that the owner was not present and would not return for several hours (and he was needed to get a quote). Lastly, I followed-up by leaving a voicemail asking for a return call. And then more work was required to fix a broken seat and rather than getting a new part they scoured EBay and found a replacement part at a much lower cost. I recently took my 2005 Town and Country mini-van to Lim's to give me an estimate on repair or replacement of the driver's seat, which had two fairly large holes in the seat cushion. John was very helpful and courteous. He spent the time while I was there to identify the replacement fabric, contact his vendor for an estimate, and explain my options. We decided to replace the seat fabric only - not the entire captain's chair. I was concerned the fabric wouldn't match well since the van is nearly 10 years old. However, this ended up not being a concern at all. The work looked GREAT! The seat looks brand-new. I give Lim's my highest recommendation. I would highly recommend. I had an issue and initially felt being ignored and wanted to write a bad review as most people do in this situation. I did not give them a fair opportunity to resolve the issue. I was wrong the owner was very professional from the moment I met him outside of hie shop until the conclusion of the issue that I had.
