Started my day with the idea of purchasing a hat (way overpriced) they are selling hats on other places for 3x's the price plus it was filled with cobwebs, roaches, ants and mice-the guy working did not greet me or ask if I needed help. I proceeded to look for a new hat with no luck. Extremely awkward and unprofessional environment. As soon as I returned to my room I noticed a huge spider bite. SMH. This place is filthy with cobwebs throughout the facility, on the merchandise and in every ceiling corner. The guy at the front desk he looked like he was loaded on something. NOT RECOMMENDED!! Not planning on returning Meyer the Hat is a better option I'm told. read more

I am absolutely happy to finally find a store that can cater to my needs for fancy hats. Being a bald man is tough as it is once the really hot and sunny days of a New Orleans summer come on in. Wearing a baseball cap all the time can be very lame if you are trying to get a certain style. I mean come on, wearing a baseball cap to the bars and restaurants all the time becomes boring. I found this place during French Quarter fest, and made it a point to remember the name so I could come by and purchase two hats for two certain reasons. I needed a nice, floppy hat to get me through a day at jazz fest and a nice fedora to get me through a derby party that I was about to attend. Once I entered the store, I was amazed at how much selection this little store has! You can buy baseball caps all the way to those hats that can cover your whole body like an umbrella. I figured out what would look good on me by myself, but the cashier was so helpful when I asked her if these hats would work out best for the events that I planned on attending. I will say she was right! I received sooo many compliments on both hats at each event. I have found my hat store! My search is over! The prices are pretty decent, and if you are a bald headed man like myself, you will love the selection! read more

Go to Meyers Hat Company instead for Amazing customer service! Wonderful family run business. Blonde lady on Sunday afternoon starting complaining to her own coworker about customers not putting hats back where they got them. F this and F that really loud as other customers were in the store and didn't seem to care others were around. I just stopped in thinking I left my glasses at the their location earlier and she ended up following us out the store still cussing to not come back. We never even exchanged words with her which was the funny part. She's a complete psycho so if you liked being harassed then this is the place to go! read more

I love hats. I probably have 20 of them. But I still love buying them. The collection here is quite extensive. I have been looking for this one hat style for a long time. But I found the one there. They design and make some of their own styles so quite some gems in there. The price range is also extensive, all the way from $20 to $100, you will find the hat you like and can afford. They also have great music you just want to dance to and great customer service. They leave you alone if you just want to try hats and answer questions if you have any. I was looking for an XL fedora but he basically shrugged me off by saying he didn't know where they are, while playing with his phone and vaping behind the counter. Very unprofessional. Nothing like being able to shop for your next vacation while on your current vacation. This store has a great selection of hats at a range of prices. My honey found a nice, straw fedora and I picked out a big sun hat with a leopard print scarf that can be easily removed and/or switched out with another scarf. They were having a buy one, get one half off sale so we left with both hats, which we will be rocking on our upcoming trip to Cuba, for $45. read more

Nice selection, however, the prices there steep. Last month, I bought a Tilley T4 hat for $110.99 from this shop. It's a great hat, but, a few days later I noticed on Tilley's website that the price is $78.00. I called Key West Hat Company and left a message about the huge price gap. That location never returned my call, so, I e-mailed their corporate office. So far, no response. Tilley products are terrific, but, I will never shop at any of the Key West Hat Company shops again. I urge others to check prices before shopping there. read more

My husband and I were visiting from Chicago this past week when we bumped into this hat store. We were there celebrating his 30th birthday so I encouraged him to purchase a hat, especially bc it's hard for him to find one for his big ole dome in the city! Bahahahahahaha! Went in looking for crushable straw hat. Found a hat, sales girl told me it was crushable and showed me how to fold it. Great. Got home, the hat is totally out of shape. Called Key West Hat Co. sales girl told me to steam it. That is fine if you never plan on travelling with the hat but if you want to travel with it you better bring a steam iron too. Not what I thought I was getting. Told sales girl all of this and that I wanted to return it. I feel like I was mislead. Sales girl will talk to manager and call me back. Two weeks go by so I called back. Sales girl says manager says too bad. I will never buy anything from them again! I think the sales girl knew what I was looking for and mislead me into buying something that did not work for my purpose and the bottom line is too bad for me. read more

Yes I know it's super Touristy but hey, they have a good selection of hat but not to any to my taste and I wasn't has burn as I was when i actually bought a hat in NO. So the good news is that it's not super expensive but there wasn't any service, just a lady sitting at the counter watching the shop. This is a business where you need to be there for the potential buyer. Make them fall in love with a hat, give them advises, help them with size if it's an issue. It's such a personal accessory that makes you unique, that a hat requires the sales person to be there. So because of that, it's a 3 stars. read more
