2/15/2025 - I received a call from Keys Lexus yesterday for asking me to reschedule my appointment today because my regular service consultant does not work today. I decided to try any service consultant to see any difference. When I arrived this morning, Elda Lopez, a rookie service consultant, was assigned to me. To my surprise, she acts very friendly and professionally just like my four previous service consultants. She gave me very clean instructions like Keys Lexus policy: "If any customers buy a new car from Keys Lexus, the second maintenance is free of charge, which beats most Lexus Dealers." Yes, she honored the company policy today. It looks like Keys Lexus Van Nuys has been consistently delivering excellent services to its customers year over year regardless whom the service consultant is. That is one of the reasons I decided to buy this brand new NX car from Keys Lexus in 2023, instead of from the Costco Auto Progra, meaning I paid at least $1,000.00 more than the Costco Auto Program's mandated lower price for its members in 2024. Two issues but, I was genuinely impressed with my service advisor, Danecia, from the moment I set the appointment with her all the way through to the end of my visit. She was organized, fast-paced, and very helpful, checking in with me several times and making sure I understood each step of the process. My experience with the parts department and the coffee bar was fantastic during my wait, and the interior where I waited was clean and well appointed, with the exception of the women's bathroom, which was overflowing with paper. Everyone I met inside the dealership was friendly, always offering a smile -- and that's much appreciated. I had a battery replacement and a full synthetic oil change, and I also appreciated the special pricing on the oil change. The only two oversights came after my service was completed, when I discovered that my clock and electronic window "auto" down setting hadn't been restored after the battery change, something I had requested via text the day before and again verbally twice during my visit. In such a fast-paced environment, I understand how small details like this can get overlooked despite my mentioning it three times. The remedy was easy -- one of the other service advisors happily came out to help me reset my windows, showing me how to do it myself and assisting directly, even offering to check my radio stations. Once she was free, Danecia also came out to check on me and make sure everything was in order. The other issue is there are two white rubs on the side of my car that looks like they could be scratches that are new. I drove straight home from the dealer and didn't expect my convertible Lexus to be scratched. With more attention from the technician (and to the facilities), this could have been a five-star experience but alas, no. We found out that they only changed oil filter only once since the 8yrs services we bring our car to them. Each time service for maintance would cost between $900-1900 I don't trust them anymore. I don't know if it's just this location. Dealership work should be better and guaranteed. Not worse. And there should be accountability of what their staffs do. The service department at this dealer is a joke. I came in to replace an actuator and wanted to utilize my MaxCare extended warranty. I scheduled my appointment for Monday Jan. 5, they didnt touch the vehicle until Wednesday Jan. 14 stating the tech found the issue but needs to look into it further but can't continue on Saturday. Then I get a call on Wednesday the 21st stating hey my tech cant get to your part due to your soundsystem. Ok why are you telling me this 1 week 2 days later when I asked you when I dropped it off will this be in the way. No response, so I go remove it. January 27th comes around and im told your part is malfunctioning but I know the warranty won't cover it (which I called and they said they cover inoperable/failing parts). That they need to do a 4 hour diagnostic to find out the real issue and that is not including the 1st diagnostic fee. You've had my car for 2 weeks now and you dare to try to get more money out of me? You found the issue, submit for warranty. Feb. 2 comes along and finally they submit for warranty and it got approved. Car is ready to go February 6th, wasted 1 month for a warranty repair. During this process I asked the front desk to leave a message for Jaime the service manager to call me, nothing. Left multiple voicemails and no response. Stay away from this dealer, Jaime and Alejo where they will treat you like your time doesn't matter and not return phone calls. Also will tell you parts are not covered without even checking. Take your car to Lexus of Valencia where they value your time and respect it. They will advise they are backed up and schedule ahead of time and respond within a day or 2. Lastly, Ramin H. Title: Disappointing Experience I had an incredibly frustrating experience at Keyes Lexus in Van Nuys. I brought my Lexus NX 350 in for service at the beginning of October 2024 and it has taken me 3 1/2 months to have my problem resolved. The service department was extremely dismissive and insulting and didn't take my problem seriously. In fact, I was told that I must have done something wrong to cause the problem with my Apple CarPlay. After extensive research on my part, I discovered that my problem was not unusual. The customer service was also poor.My calls were not returned and several times I had to initiate meeting with my service advisor in person who made excuses why he did not contact me. Its a Sunday, and for some reason my car just starts, but the hybrid system has malfunction, doesnt shift nor anything. It is CERTIFIED. i called LEXUS roadside assistance, 2 guys come, they try to jump start, so they can get the car on neutral so they can tow to Keyes Lexus, they cant. 3rd car has to come with those dolley wheels, cuz the car just doesnt go on Neutral. Monday a service advisor named Anthony (if i remember right), says i didnt get a chance to look into it, i will look into it Tuesday, and there is going to be $245 diagnostic fee, and if we determine its a factory issue, it will be waived. So he calls tuesday, says "whoever tried to jumpstart the car, blew the alternator fuse, and it is going to cost over $1000 to repair. The fuse is $40 just to let u know. First of all, if it is because roadside assistance blew the fuse thats why my car isnt working, then why my car wasnt working before I called the roadside assistance? According to them, my car was just fine, I called Lexus Roadside, they came, the blew the fuse, and that is why my car is not working...I asked for the invoice, he said he is sending, I never got it. Apparently he attempted to send it to 3 times to one phone number, 2 times to another, another 3 times to another email. I never get it. So i get pissed off i call i paid the dealership their diagnostic fee which I shouldnt have, my car is certified.. then i call lexus roadside assistance to go pick up my car and bring it to me. The guy gets there 15 mins later, meanwhile, im calling the service advisor to tell him the tow truck is on its way.. he dont answer my call, he doesnt answer for 6-7 times in 3 hours . While at it, the tow truck gets there, waits 25 mins, texts me that he is leaving and cant wait any longer as the car isnt ready. Again, i keep on calling the service advisor, the service manager, nobody answers nobody responds, until I start dropping a few "F" bombs and mentioning that I will be filing a complaint with Lexus Corporation, Consumer Affairs, BBB. Then the guy starts texting. They also told me that that I can pay that $1100-1200 or whatever, then i can file a claim with roadside assistance and they will reimburse me. The reason they want to go that way is because if they were to do the repairs through the certified warranty, in no way in the world they are getting paid $1100-$1200 to replace a $40 fuse, which according to them takes 4 hours. A FUSE, 4 HOURS!! This is straight out scam, scamming me; scamming the Lexus roadside assistance, which hires AAA, which on its part hires an independent contractor, and all that blame, that $1200 is going to be blamed on some guy who was supposed to get paid probably 100-150 to tow my car. read more

Went in for a simple oil change today. Service manager offered an inspection on my car and came back with 6 suggested maintenance services of total $2094.05 including " 2 faulty tire sensors" for $769.50 ! All my tire sensors were just recently changed by Costco Tire Center how could they be faulty already ?! Took my car to Costco Tire Center same day right after I was done with Lexus and all sensors checked out normal with no issues ! Either Keyes Lexus service technician is substandard or now days even Lexus can not be trusted?! My appointment was early at 8AM and there were not many cars there but I didn't get my car done till 11:40AM 3.5 hours later. This dealership has wasted so much of my time in the short time I've been coming here. I've brought my car for regular maintenance twice. The first time was fine, the second time I waited 30 minutes after my appointment time just to be checked in. It was because of the dealership cyberattack, so I understood the delay. But I get my car back and see that they chipped the paint on 2 of my wheels. Frustrating to say the least because I recently had them refinished and I take care of my car. My service consultant told me that I could leave the car for the wheels to be repaired and get a loaner vehicle since they would need to keep it for the day and to text her to confirm a day for drop off. I texted her that Friday to ask if I could drop the following week, on Tuesday before going into work. Didn't hear back at all until I called the service department Tuesday morning and she wasn't even available. She responded to my text when I was already at work, saying that I could drop off the car any time that day. I didn't because I can't just leave work in the middle of the day for things like that. Fine, whatever. I dropped it off the next morning, and got my loaner vehicle. I was told to keep it until Friday since Thursday was a holiday. I show up Friday morning at 8:30am, not only is my service consultant not here, but I'm being told my car won't be ready until 11 am. So you're telling me I dropped on my car on Wednesday morning and it wasn't done? It was never explained to me that the wheels would have to be sent out, and not done on site. I planned to leave for the weekend and I wasted an hour waiting for nothing. They ended up giving me a loaner for the rest of the weekend, but it's inconvenient that I have to come back after work during rush hour. It wasn't even done until the end of Monday, so I picked it up Tuesday. Even after all that wait, I noticed a different scuff on the wheel when I got home. It's not even worth my time anymore. A simple fix like this shouldn't have taken this long. I choose to bring my car to dealerships over regular mechanics because I expect more care for my vehicle. We had a great and quick experience here when we took our Lexus RX350 in for a oil change. I made the appointment online and selected any advisor. We got assigned Farah and she was great. Our oil change was done within an hour and a half, the best part was that she didn't try to sell us any service. Another person came and told us our tires was bad, so they give us a quote on how much it would be if we do it with them. I found another place down the street that had the same tires and was way cheaper for the cost. You used to pay at the advisor office but now you go inside to the service area to pay. One tire replaced and this is what was encountered upon closer inspection. White residue on the rim and tire. Im assuming it's the solution to check if there is a leak. One would think to clean up the tire and rim after replacing a new tire or when adding tire gloss. Please do a walk through when retrieving your vehicle since it's apparent they don't. read more

After several miserable experiences at our local Santa Clarita Lexus Service Center, enough was enough; even if it meant driving the extra miles down to Van Nuys to get our 2011 RX 350 serviced. So scheduling an appointment the day prior we brought our vehicle in today for its 11 AM maintenance. Danecia was our service advisor, she also just happened to be celebrating her birthday. We wished her a Happy Birthday and then went over with her the 90,000 mile service. We agreed to all the terms, even though unlike our Honda Accord online scheduling, Keyes Lexus of Van Nuys gives no total estimate. So only a 4 rather than 5 star rating. But I must commend Danecia's customer service professionalism, for not coming off pushy or fake. Something that I've seen with too many at the Santa Clarita service center. The wife and I settled on waiting around for the estimated 2 hours wait, and I must say a nice waiting area Van Nuys provides. Much larger, and split into 2 sections; a mega lounge area as well as a setup that's almost like a serve yourself café. Coffee/Hot Chocolate machine with multiple choices, enough to satisfy most anyone's taste. We also observed cookies, mixed nuts, candies, and a huge glass fronted double-doored refrigerator filled with bottled water and several soda selections. All for the customers taking. With 3 large flat screens, one each for your CNN, FS1 Sports or Fox News preference playing side-by-side. My only complaint there, I wish at least one of those flat screens were sitting in the more comfortable seating and much roomier lounge area. After maybe an hour and a half, Danecia did come around to check on us, and to inform us that we were now just waiting on the carwash. And just after 1 PM, we were back in her office to make payment and back on our way. We enjoyed the experience today and hopefully that continues on future visits. With no apologies from our former local Lexus service center after my recent negative review of them, it looks like we'll be staying away from them, permanently. I have been driving Lexus past so many years and own couple of different Lexus now. Always take my Lexus to the dealership but never got cheated the way Keyes Lexus cheated me recently upon my last visit for service. I scheduled an appointment for my GX460. This vehicle was due for 65K Miles service and upon talking with agent on call, I was advised to get tire rotation and oil change that would cost me all together right under $200. During my visit for service at the dealership, I was advised to get Lexus recommended 65K mile service that would cost another/about $50 but would cover some inspection, that maybe helpful. I agreed and 65K miles serviced was performed on my car. I bring the car home and day after I left with my family for road trip to Bay area. We stopped over for a break at a busy place on our way and guess what, the battery died. I tried to restart and couldn't succeed since the battery was completely dead. With the help of some gentleman around at the restaurant we jump start the car and drove non stop straight to the hotel we were planning on staying. Next morning with the help of one of the hotel staff, I got the car started and took it straight to the nearest mechanic. I was told the battery is completely dead and needs to be replaced. I was shocked and my concern is why in the world they gave me the fake inspection report with no concern about battery, inspection report attached to this review. Per their inspection report, battery passed the test. I wish they run the test in reality and I would have got the battery replaced immediately. Imagine anyone traveling with the family during holiday season and then dealing with all this. I owned different Lexus in last over 15 years and never have been cheated like this. I tried to call the manager as well, but guess they are more occupied with other high priorities. At this point I am not even sure, if they really did the oil change or just washed my car and gave me back. I am glad I didn't agree to get the tire replaced through them, which they insisted during my visit. My only advise to others is be aware on what they are saying or doing to your car. After this experience, for me personally, I am not going there ever, even when I need to buy a new one. I've gone here for my two complimentary maintenances with Mike Nazari and had great experiences both times. Mike as well as all the other service employees are very nice, helpful and courteous. It's definitely a trek for me as it's almost 30 miles away from my house but well worth it for the excellent service. I was a bit worried about stopping by during the pandemic but everyone took precautions so I definitely felt comfortable. Mike and all the other workers wore masks, and they sanitized all vehicles (your car and the rental if you're getting one) before and after service. Apparently their car wash was down but Mike gave me a slip to get a free one at a drive-in wash nearby which was such a surprise! The only drawback was that the cafe was closed for safety reasons. Either way, whether you purchased your vehicle from Keyes or not, I definitely recommend this service center. Their level of service is on par with what I expect from a luxury brand like Lexus. read more

When I picked up my car, there was rat feces all over the passenger side floor. They hadn't bothered to clean it up after everything spilled out from changing the filter. 1st point: bring a checkbook because Lexus is still antiquated and you'll have to pay with a checkbook. 2nd point: Our car only had one key fob (eyeroll), so I had to return to get a second one made. This turned into a multiple day thing because our fuel pump was also recalled. At pickup, I was checking out the car while still on the property and noticed my heat was on (72 degrees and it's 80+ Degrees right now in the valley). This instantly made me think someone drove my car so I checked the mileage against the paperwork. "Mileage in" 10,293 "Mileage out" 10,296 My odometer 10,401 Why were there 100 more miles?????? I immediately went back to the service guy about the additional mileage and he said he must have entered it incorrectly. That means someone had to have fat fingered the mileage incorrectly TWICE. There's no way he entered the mileage in incorrectly twice at drop off and once the service was complete, the tech also entered it in incorrectly. I understand was my first time here but expected way more from Lexus according to friends who own Lexus. They never called me that my car was ready. Went to Keyes for the first time in three years and could t be happier. Previously, I went to Lexus of Beverly Hills, but they misrepresented what I needed and I don't like false issues being raised. On the upside (insert sarcasm here); they invented an issue to charge the lexus warranty, and I actually never had a problem with my car the entire time I owned it. Anyway, I saw a coupon via Google for Keyes in Van Nuys, so I called and they confirmed the $89 oil chance would apply to my CT. I looked at my calendar and made an appt in their website for 815am on Saturday. Showed up ten mins late and they helped me immediately. The porter got my car within 2 minutes, walked me to the office of the service writer (michael) and I told him about the coupon and I didn't need tire work. He showed me to the lounge and I sat down. 90 minutes later (they have water, apples and coffee), he told me the car was ready and didn't need any other work. That is a huge plus, because 1) it's true 2) I don't like to be upsold 3) too many auto places tell the customer to buy things they don't need. I was then led back to the office, he took my payment and the car was brought up to the driveway, freshly washed. Everyone was very nice, no pressure, the facility was clean and price was fair. I called the Service Center earlier this week to schedule a routine maintenance. They told me 1:45 was available today. I arrived at 1:37, informed them of my appointment, and 30 minutes later no one still had come out to see me. When I asked if anyone else was available, they said no and that they were overbooked. Totally not their fault if this is the case- this would then fall back on the Service schedulers who answer the phone and schedule the appointment. Why are they overbooking? This is a waste of my time, and not the only example of when there has been unfortunate service incidents here. I will never buy a Lexus again due to how poorly they treat their customers after purchasing. read more

We brought 2021 Lexus RX350L in for all of it service to keys Lexus Valencia 5,000 / 10,000 / 15,000 at 16,000 miles we start hearing noise in back so we brought in .. they informed us that the back bearing where bad needed to be replaced . They told us the warranty is void !! Can you imagine that you pay 65,000 for a new vehicle and paid extra 4,500for extended warranty and one clown at keys Lexus Valencia service consultant says he voided the warranty... tried to reach out to the service manager Darin Ellis several times , seems he to busy to talk to a customer. Also tried the GM Mike Marray he also seems too busy to talk to customers .. This experience was not a very pleasant one. ANDY BENSON very dishonest service advisor! This place is a ripp off!!! My car was driving perfectly fine before i brought it in, few days before thanksgiving mainly for a HEADLIGHT replacement, TIRE SENSOR, AIR BAG, and i added the VISOR VANITY LIGHT, and LIGHTER. Going here was the worst idea!! I knew my car had a few things that needed to be fixed, but i was not going to let them do the work!!!! They kept it for 5 days, finally the day before the holiday it was ready and I went to pick it up, i knew from the moment i drove out of the parking lot that something was not right, I had to get to a place and I got on the freeway I almost had an accident because the car was losing stability the VSC AND CHECK light came on after paying 3,474.50 they fixed one thing and broke another, I don't know if it was intentional to get me to return, or the technicians do not have much knowledge of what they are doing, but I'm sure of something, they saw the perfect opportunity to get more money out of me. They've chosen the worst day to do that because it was the day before the holiday and everyone was off, I had to wait until the next business day to go back, I texted Andy who never bothered to reply. I showed up there and told him about those two lights and he offered me a rental car which I declined. 3 hours later I went to check with him if he already knew something, and then he began to brainwash me and I put him to the test asking him how much the price would be, and he told me $700,but he can give me 18% discount and it came out to $637 + cents to which I rejected, I told him that I wanted my car just as I left it and then magically my car was fixed. I'm doing this to help other people, this place is more for newer cars and under warranty, so there is no money involved and they don't have a chance to take advantage of anyone. I spoke with JAIME ARREOLA to complain, He told me that he was going to review the paperwork and that he would see what he could do and he would call me the next day which he never did, the person least indicated to deal with complaints is the so-called manager I'm sure he's in complicity with Andy Benson and the technician whoever he is. I purchased my Lexus through Keys and I had a service appointment scheduled. I made the appointment due to the Maintenance Required illuminated on my dash as well as the window sticker stating the mileage time for next oil service. I was told that I do not need a oil change and that they would not honor my oil change service plan that I paid for when I purchased the vehicle. We walked out of his office and I asked if they could bring my car back so I could leave. He told me it was in the alley and that I could go get it. I asked him to repeat what he said so I could understand the service he is providing on simply bringing my car.I was upset walking to my vehicle in the alley next to parking structure and asked to speak to his manager. Mike was his manager and he was there speaking to Tom the tire guy. He took a moment to listen and when he looked at Ali to get his attention Ali Alribaie made a rude derogatory hand gesture to dismiss the situation. I decided to leave and not make matters more uncomfortable. I contacted the operator and also left a message for General Manager Ramin Hakakien. This is my second issue with this service department. The first was then not notating service done on my wife's Lexus and created confusion and change of service location as well. read more

If you're going to service your car here, I would avoid service advisor, Bill Horvat. He's going to try to run your bill high and charge you for things that most dealerships would not even charge for. He will also go to the extreme of telling you that your NEW tire (that another reputable auto repair company installed brand new) is defected and to RETURN it so he can get the sell. he's in it solely for his commission, not customer care. If you don't pay for all the services that he recommends, he will ignore you and Give off a bad vibe at check out. if you're going to see anyone, go see Danecia Dedeaux. she wasn't there the one day I needed to bring my car in. She is HONEST and won't rip you off. After my experience with Bill, I never returned to this Lexus and will Never return. this is my second Lexus, my mother's fourth.
