I stopped by this service center inside the Hamer Toyota dealership today. My dad needed a new radiator cap for his Toyota Tacoma since it was all corrode. Finding parking here can be difficult because it's limited and one way. We got a good parking spot. When you walk inside the dealership the parts center is toward the left back side of the dealership.. They carry a lot of different Toyota brand merch here. They also have some Chemical Guys cleaning product too. The customer service here was great, the guy working the counter was able to find the cap we needed and the price was reasonable because you're getting it at the dealership so it's a quality item. read more

You have to do your research and know what the car is worth and then make them an offer and walk away if they don't accept it. When I called today to schedule my oil change, I was informed that the Advantage Care plan (3 oil changes) that I prepaid had expired. I was never informed of a expiration date and it was quickly obvious other customers had run into this same issue as well. I then asked to elevate to a Service Manager and was informed there is a separate 3rd party company that writes these plans and I needed to contact them instead. He said that it was 2nd in line and that it would be another 45 minutes. After waiting 4 hours they still had not started working on my car. I took the car and left. Customer service is dead! Scammers, My 2025 Camry had an accident on the back end 8 month ago and it has repaid at that time and every thing was OK, recently the back motion sensor stopped working, I toke it to Hamer Toyota and they side probably the sensor is out of it's place and it is not warranty issue, I toke it to the body shop and he showed me that sensor overheating and advice me it is a dealer warranty part I toke it back to Hamer Toyota service and explained to service, they asked me for $265 for diagnoses and I agreed because once they will disassemble the bumper they will find the problem, the never disassemble it and the shoots me couple pictures from inside the trunk to tell me there was an accident and asked me for $1700 to replace that sensor. One of the worst service experiences I've ever had. I brought my Toyota Tundra in for a recall in May. I was told it would only take one day to complete, and I also informed them about several other issues I was having with the truck. Instead, they kept my truck for two weeks. When we finally went to pick it up, they told us they didn't even have the parts needed to fix it. If they knew the parts weren't available, why have us leave the truck there for two weeks without a vehicle? Then they told us the new parts would arrive on June 6. It is now July 6, an entire month later, and I still haven't heard anything. To make matters worse, I've spent over a week trying to get in touch with a manager or supervisor, but no one will return my calls. My service experience here used to be better than it was during this last visit. I was quoted a 3-hour wait but ended up waiting over 5 hours in the waiting room with no updates. Later, I found out my service advisor had already left for the day without informing me, leaving me to figure things out on my own by asking random staff members in the service area. No one explained the results of my inspection -- I was simply handed my receipt. Thankfully, another gentleman who wasn't even assigned to me took the time to answer my questions, and I really appreciated his help. Overall, the service level needs improvement. I might still come back occasionally, but not every time, due to the long wait and inconsistent communication. For comparison, I can get in and out of Valvoline in about 15 minutes at a lower cost. If you come here occasionally like me because you dread the long wait time, set your expectations for service really low. I wasn't planning to write this, but consider this a friendly PSA for current or future GR Supra owners. I usually bring all my Toyotas here for service because of their "Advantage Package," which includes 3 oil changes for about $170 a total steal in today's economy. Since the GR Supra has a little BMW twist in its DNA, I made sure to call ahead and ask if it qualifies for the package. The rep on the phone confidently told me: "Yes, absolutely. The Supra is included." I even asked them to double-check. They reassured me, full confidence, no hesitation. So, I head over. Staff is always great friendly, helpful, no complaints there. I hand over my keys and tell the rep I'm here for the package. That's when I get the look the "uh-oh" face. He goes to check with the manager and comes back to let me know that, actually... they don't really service GR Supras, and nope, the package doesn't apply. Confused, I explained what I was told over the phone. That's when I got the lecture "The GR Supra takes special oil." Okay, sure BMW bits and all. I figured since I was already there, I'd just do a one-off oil change. Guess what One oil change was about $300. I thought maybe that included gold flakes or came with a signed photo of MR Toyota himself who blessed it. I asked if I was just paying for oil, and the response? "Your car takes special oil, buddy." At that point, I politely asked for my car back. To their credit, the staff was super nice about it even they agreed I should get the oil change done elsewhere. So, I'll still bring my actual Toyotas here they've always taken good care of them. But if you drive a GR Supra, skip this place and head straight to your local BMW dealer. Let me start by saying my sales experience at Hamer Toyota was truly top-notch. Unfortunately, my experience with the service department has been the opposite. When my truck hit 5000 miles, I wanted an estimate of how long the ToyotaCare service was going to take so I could appropriately schedule it around my day. This became a weeks-long issue. I responded to the dealership's test message-- no response. I called and was routed to "Brooke", their AI assistant, who couldn't provide the info and wouldn't connect me with a person unless I was willing to schedule the service. When I finally reached a person the following week, I was told they couldn't provide an time estimate until the day of service, as it depended on how busy there were. I couldn't afford to gamble half my day, so I got my service done at my local mechanic. Less than an hour and I was back on my way. So this week, a few months after the first debacle, I called trying to get an estimate on having the OEM bed extender installed in the truck and couple that with the 10,000 mile service that will be due next week. Got routed through the same system, but I was able to leave a detailed voicemail for a service writer. Never got a call back. Tried again yesterday... still no call back. What a disappointment. But after multiple bad experiences, I won't be using their service department. read more

I've been a loyal Hamer Toyota customer for 11 years. I purchased my Tacoma new at Hamer in 2014 and have religiously serviced it there every 5k miles. While those years have yielded mostly positive experiences, this year has been an absolute disaster. In April I had my Tacoma in for a routine oil change and other basic maintenance. A couple days later at the end of a 4 hour road trip, the skid plate fell off my truck when backing into a campsite. Had this happened minutes earlier at 70mph on the highway, this metal skid plate could have mangled the underside of my Tacoma or flown into another vehicle. This is a direct result of the tech (Tech 182) not installing or properly tightening the 4 skid plate mounting bolts (the first and last step of an oil change). Management was horrified and at my request, offered to comp me a 3 oil change package. A pretty light sentence for a nearly catastrophic mistake. Upon returning for my next oil change last week, there was no record of this incident in my maintenance history nor were the promised oil changes comped. The service advisor did comp me for that day's oil change however. Later that evening I notice oil on my driveway. Upon opening the hood, I notice the tech (Tech 101) had left a bottle under the oil filter catch funnel. This contacted the drive belt and sprayed oil all over my engine bay. This is the second time this has happened in my history with Hamer Toyota. Unknown disaster could have occurred if this bottle got sucked into the drive belt or contacted the radiator fan. I made my service advisor aware of this and he assured me management would reach out to rectify the situation. No call was ever received. Toyotas are extremely reliable vehicles but Hamer Toyota is clearly unable to contribute to this reputation. Customers should be wary of servicing your vehicles here. Please consider an independent shop or a different dealership. Their work MUST be double checked and the service quality should not be trusted. My next Tacoma will be purchased and serviced elsewhere and I encourage all Toyota customers to do the same. read more

I had visited this dealer once before and had a good experience. That was not the case today. All went well at drop off, but at pick up, I noticed there was a scratch etched in my front driver side window. I called right away and went back to the dealer. They informed me they were going to go watch a video upon coming back. They told me that when they took the car to get it service the window was rolled down and It stayed rolled down the whole time they were working on it. When I picked up my car, the window was rolled up, so at some point, somebody had to have touched it, which of course they denied and told me there was nothing that could be done for my window because it was cosmetic so even if there was something wrong with my window it would not be covered by Toyota care. He told us the vehicle was in transit and would arrive in about two weeks. When the vehicle arrived ERIC sent the text message. We picked the vehicle up on Saturday afternoon. ERIC demonstrated all the features of the vehicle and let us take a test drive. ERIC introduced us to the finance officer who completed the bill of sale and registration of the vehicle. The finance officer showed us list of service plans that were available. The finance officer spoke slowly and very clearly as he explained the features of each service contract. The finance officer did not pressure us into buying anything that we didn't want. read more

This review goes directly to the young man who works in the parts/mechanics dept. Yesterday, I had an unfortunate incident where I needed to pull over due to a flat tire. I located a space inside of Hamer, out of the way to call for a tow. During my lengthy wait, I saw plenty of employees but ONLY this young man (I believe he said his name was Brecken, forgive if this is incorrect, his shirt id'ed him as MOJO :) ) approached me twice to ask if I needed any help. He was genuinely concerned and made me feel calmer just by talking with me after dealing with my flat. At one point, he brought his supervisor to get details about my veh and offered a tire quote but applied no pressure. Eventually my tow arrived but for the time I was there, he made me feel like I wasn't a burden for parking in an odd space in the lot. If his professionalism on the job is parallel to his demeanor with me, you better not let him leave. He is the type of employee you want to represent your company. read more

I took my car for an oil change on Monday February 9th. Everything was fine and normal, and after a couple of hours I got my car back. However about an hour after my service, I got a message from the service advisor telling me I had new photos of my vehicle. I clicked on the link, and in it they had uploaded two photos of my dirty cabin and air filters. However I literally bought and installed new filters the day before. Therefore they are using shady practices to convince people to purchasing services they actually do not need! I also left a review on their google page and now I can't find it, so I believe they may have deleted it. This is just plain wrong and advantageous. 1.5 years later, after purchasing a 2018 Mirai and trying arbitration to force them to fix the lemon they sold me, the off brand tires that they put on the car, tires that were of different brands began to show problems. I was driving to LA from the Valley with my son in the car and the car began to wobble, like an axel was bent in the rear. Upon arriving to our destination, i called AAA to tow it to a toyota dealer in the area, the response,"your rear tires are buldging and about to blow up, it's unsafe to drive." in short, Hamer is willing to put my and your family in danger to clear their profit margin. If you care about your safety and the safety of your family, I would strongly encourage you to shop elsewhere. Pay attention to the review bar, when there are just as many 1 stars as there are 5's, with the 5's suspiciously radiant with suspicious account names, there is something wrong here.
