Star Lounge is a fun bar for young and older crowds! The bartenders are nice and hard workers. They serve drinks quickly and are efficient with their time. Security is well established. As we are entering into Star lounge, they try charging us with a fee but let girls into the bar, there cash machine was broken so there was no way to pay for the 10$ fee and told us to get out. We said it was unfair and treated us with only disrespect and I would say racist just because we were white and let others in for free that were other ethnicities. Came with a friend this past Sunday for a Bloody Mary. Only two of us in the bar and the young female bartender. We were greeted and ordered our two drinks. She seemed to be hungover having a hard time functioning. Setting the limes and olives in the glasses seemed to be challenging. We both finished our drinks quietly and declined another round. After the $24 bill we both questioned each other if there was even a drop of alcohol in them let alone the quality vodka we paid extra for. Really sad. What a wonderful experience thanks to the bartender Molik(Moe) who was such a great person and a wonderful person! She made me and my girlfriend the best Scooby Snacks shots we ever had! While cracking back pitchers of beer, a G & T, and a 24oz can of PBR, we hung and watched The Fugitive on TBS with no sound on a maybe a 24 inch old tube TV. A band was setting up and eventually started playing some kind of roots rock, but don't quote me on that. We were here Sunday, amid covid19. I really love the set up of their outdoor patio setting, unlike the patio in LA bars, this one is cozier, nicer, prettier, and cleaner and totally away fro. The sidewalk. The security 'Steve " is exceptionally awesome, friendly, and made our stay worthwhile, with our great conversation. Thanks Steve! So, the Star Lounge had a remodel. Now, there's 3 individual unisex bathrooms. I'd rather wait 20 mins for a women's only bathroom. I'm sure women know what I mean. Not to mention having to get thru the crowd to get to the bathrooms. Although the bar looks updated with nice lights, etc, I felt bad for employees having to run back and forth to the back fridge to keep things stocked. Same as before. I'm hoping they haven't finished with providing storage behind the bar. And the layout, no improvement there.
