    a plate of mexican food

The food is awesome. The best patty melt with beer battered fries, Julie's Favorite with Au Jus, salads are big fresh and delicious. AND THE MEXICAN! Our favorite restaurant of all times was the Zona Rosa. Sadly the owner closed for a number of reasons. But the Keyport bought some of their recipes and they are alive and well. Here is a cheese enchilada and a shredded beef enchilada. Both as big as burritos. Lots of green sauce or gravy. Nummy. They do have red sauce too. Salsa both chunky traditional that is spot on and verde with a kick. Fresh fries chips. Our favorite place!

On Belknap ("bell-nap"), one of the main drags in Superior, WI, two blocks west of the other main drag, Tower Avenue, you'll run into one of the area's largest liquor stores, the Keyport, which has an attached bar and grill of the same name. If you're driving around looking for it, it's in the outlot of Super One Grocery. They frequently have live entertainment, daily specials, karaoke, and a gaggle of big screen TVs for sporting events. Sampled the "Siracha Burger" from the full menu, which includes ciabatta sandwiches, wraps, salads, Mexican favorites, and pizza. The hand-formed char crust burger patty was painted with a siracha / bbq sauce mixture, topped with bacon, cheese, and onion rings. Tasty.

    Beef chimichanga

I've been to the liquor store many times, and have heard the chimichanga is pretty good. Has some time today to check it out. My daughter and I seated ourselves in the dining area adjacent to the bar. I came for the chimichanga, but after looking at the menu, there were so many more things I wanted to try. But focus and get the chimi, I told myself and I did. My daughter went for a burger and beer-battered fries. The order came out quick, and before that we got fresh, hot chips and salsa, which were awesome and unexpected. The chimi was perfect, with delicious rice and beans on the side. The beef was shredded and flavorful. My girl loves her burger and even more, the beer-battered fries. Service was awesome! I wish I could remember the sweet lady's name, who was also bartending, but she was great. This is a hidden gem for good, affordable, delicious food. And you can hop on over to the liquor store when you are done for some great prices too! This place is casual and a fine place for kids.

Usually love this place, but they seriously questioned my real Minnesota DL tonight. Like an absurd amount of time to check an ID. Wth

Tucked beneath Duluth's old City Hall, this historic cellar bar delivers pure speakeasy magic. The bluestone walls, warm low lighting, and intimate scale create an atmosphere that is equal parts romantic, mysterious, and effortlessly cool. You half expect a password or a trapdoor. Instead you get a welcoming, dimly lit lounge that feels like it was designed for conversations and great drinks. The artisan craft cocktails are the real star. The mixologists here know their craft -- balanced, thoughtful, and beautifully presented. From classic riffs (a proper Old Fashioned done right) to more inventive house creations, every drink shows care and skill. It's the kind of bar where you can confidently order "bartender's choice" and end up with something memorable. The whiskey selection is impressive too, but the cocktails are what keep you coming back for another round. Live acoustic covers (and the occasional original) tunes elevate the whole experience. The performances stay at the perfect volume -- present enough to set a sophisticated mood without overpowering conversation. For this night, the music fit the room like it was made for these stone walls. It turns a great cocktail into a full evening. If you're looking for an intimate night out with excellent drinks, live music that actually enhances the vibe, and that rare speakeasy feeling that doesn't feel forced, The Rathskeller is hard to beat. Highly recommended for date nights, quiet celebrations, or simply escaping the ordinary for a few hours underground.

Seating originally was full house but luckily after a lap around, we were able to find a seat. Service was timely given the packed crowd and the staff was very accommodating and kind. They never made us feel rushed and was kind to give us some information about the history of the building. There was apparently another bar on the upper floor but when we visited it wasn't open. The drink list had a lot of options so it was easy to find a few options to try. There was even artwork (many were Duluth focused) from what I'm assuming is from local artists that were for sale which I thought was a nice touch!

The staff…read moreis so friendly, they alway ask how your day is going and over the years I consider them to be my BEST friends. Honestly, they've been there so much for me in the past (when no one else was there, they were) that any one of them could ask me to help them move a heavy ass hot tub, and I would in a heartbeat. The owner, Cade, is THE shit. Just look for the tall guy with the sweet hair and badass button up shirt and you'll know him when you see him. Best part is because he's so cool, all the people he hires to work for him are cool, thus the people that frequent there are cool, so by going there YOU are COOL by association. It's like one big cool club and everyone's invited. The amount of romances and babies that have resulted from ACES ON FIRST is probably what keeps the population of Duluth above the 2.1 children-per-woman needed to prevent a society's extinction. Do yourself a favor and pop in Aces. I know that when I die and I enter the white light, on the other side I'm going to emerge into Aces. Heaven IS a place on Earth...and it's called ACES. BTW Thank you Aces for directly hooking me up with he woman I'm in love with right now.
