On Belknap ("bell-nap"), one of the main drags in Superior, WI, two blocks west of the other main drag, Tower Avenue, you'll run into one of the area's largest liquor stores, the Keyport, which has an attached bar and grill of the same name. If you're driving around looking for it, it's in the outlot of Super One Grocery. They frequently have live entertainment, daily specials, karaoke, and a gaggle of big screen TVs for sporting events. Sampled the "Siracha Burger" from the full menu, which includes ciabatta sandwiches, wraps, salads, Mexican favorites, and pizza. This is at the top of our list for being a great corner bar and eatery! We have yet to be served by anyone who wasn't super friendly and they have great pub style food, with nightly specials. The food is awesome. The best patty melt with beer battered fries, Julie's Favorite with Au Jus, salads are big fresh and delicious. AND THE MEXICAN! Our favorite restaurant of all times was the Zona Rosa. Sadly the owner closed for a number of reasons. But the Keyport bought some of their recipes and they are alive and well. Here is a cheese enchilada and a shredded beef enchilada. Both as big as burritos. Lots of green sauce or gravy. Nummy. They do have red sauce too. I've been to the liquor store many times, and have heard the chimichanga is pretty good. Has some time today to check it out. My daughter and I seated ourselves in the dining area adjacent to the bar. I came for the chimichanga, but after looking at the menu, there were so many more things I wanted to try. But focus and get the chimi, I told myself and I did. My daughter went for a burger and beer-battered fries. The order came out quick, and before that we got fresh, hot chips and salsa, which were awesome and unexpected. The chimi was perfect, with delicious rice and beans on the side. The beef was shredded and flavorful. My girl loves her burger and even more, the beer-battered fries. Service was awesome! I wish I could remember the sweet lady's name, who was also bartending, but she was great. This is a hidden gem for good, affordable, delicious food. And you can hop on over to the liquor store when you are done for some great prices too! This place is casual and a fine place for kids. read more

Usually love this place, but they seriously questioned my real Minnesota DL tonight. Like an absurd amount of time to check an ID. Wth

Had a horrible experience. The fries were burnt, couldn't finish my poutine and the waitress didn't ask about them or offer me anything in place of them. Got charged for fries and didn't notice until after we left that we got charged and never received them. our second waitress came to give us our checks and they weren't separate-not a big deal, just take the 3 items and put them on 3 separate checks. Which was a big deal to her and she didn't understand why one person could just pay it all and we just figure out what we owe each other later? She came back with only two checks. My mom paid for her bill (I think) and my friend paid the rest (I think) no way to tell because my friend had 2 sodas and a dinner, and my mom had 2 drinks and a dinner, then there was me, with NO BILL who had 3 or 4 drinks and dinner but no idea who was charged or if it was charged. I brought it up multiple times that the bills were incorrect and that just PISSED off our waitress. Then we had another waitress come up to us and tell us if we had an issue to tell them personally and I did tell them that we just wanted the bills separated three ways, as we had come in. She walked away from us??? I'm very disappointed. The wait staff is awful. Food is alright. Side note- when I first came in I went straight to the bar to order. Two waitresses there eating in front of me (food safety issue) and all they said was your waitress will come to your table(with attitude and I didn't have a table) I also can not find any contact information to personally contact the owner or manager. read more

Some of the worst service I've ever experienced. Sat at a table for an hour watching every other table get served and eat and then get their check. Had to walk up to the bar to get the waitstaff to take our order. Second time in a row here the service was snail-like slow. The food was ordinary at best. But the slow and annoyed waitstaff (who said she was alone as an excuse while I watched others help out) is a deal-breaker. read more

6/17/15 Since it's advertised as a restaurant and lounge, I made the mistake of thinking they were in separate areas. It's really one long room with the bar on one end. Not very kid-friendly (and no menu for kids, either). It was the middle of the afternoon, though, so even though the bar was full, the dining room was empty. We had a fairly good sized group so it was nice to have the room to ourselves. The hamburgers were good. I wouldn't order the tater tots. They aren't the Ore-Ida kind, they're more like hash browns rolled into a ball, and unfortunately, my serving was burnt. The décor is really dated. It could use some new carpeting for sure. If you look at their menu online, it's kind of a surprise when you walk in. The server was really friendly, though, and she took great care of us. read more

I went to keyport on Monday night, for Monday night trivia. The bartender there is one of the meanest I've ever seen. She seems to act totally inconvenienced when you ask her for a drink. She makes it impossible to ask questions because she will yell or roll her eyes. Monday night trivia is a busy night, and it's hard to find seating, so we asked the bartender if next week we would be able to call and reserve a table ahead of time and she said "no we don't do that" even though there were 3 tables with reserved signs, for people who were playing trivia. After I finally received my drink I was standing talking to one of my friends at the bar that I had not seen for many years and the bartender came up behind me and yelled "move" in a very rude tone, I believe a simple "excuse me" would have worked. I sat at the bar and I ordered a side salad. I waited about 45 minutes for my salad to come, and it never did. I ended up cancelling the order. It took about another twenty minutes to get ahold of the bartender to close my tab because she serves and favors other people she knows before helping anyone else. Let me point out that there are many people that work there that are kind and very good at their jobs. I've had their food as a pickup before as well and it is good. This review is more to point out the horrible customer service and attitude I received from the bartender other than the lounge itself. Service like that will make me think twice about whether I will ever go back or not. read more
