However, there is also now a separate man who makes fruit bowls out of the back of his pickup truck, which doesn't seem clean or up to code. He has a table set up in front of him, but we saw him cutting up several larger fruits on the actual bed of his truck. We did end up waiting double our estimated wait time, but they were super busy, so it was to be expected. They gave us an extra soda when our food was ready, which was really nice.

They have really expended their whole food truck area over the last year with more lights, tables, tents, and the buzzers to let you know when your food is done. Our go-to is the pastor burrito. They are always juicy and flavorful and filled up as much as they can be (some burritos we have gotten from other taco spots have too little filling and a lot of loose tortilla, but not here). They have great tacos as well. We decided to bring my sister and BIL with us after we went to a Halloween event at Newfields and they loved it. The person who handed me the order, presented in a styrofoam container, recognized the difficulty of carrying in a wheelchair and offered me a bag - I didn't take it, but I loved the thoughtfulness. This experience was definitely one of the highlights of Statehouse Market for me this year. I usually have to add salt and pepper to dishes when I eat out, but everything here was just right. A squeeze of lime did me just fine! The empanadas were also a bit oily. Obviously, they are deep fried, but once you have the addition of the generally oily birria, then you have leakage-level oil.
