What a neat vibey spot! Ambience was so cool - great music, dim lighting, well packed spot! Came here for drinks on Friday night and their menu is great - a mix of classics and their own take on things. I shared some of their small plates and they were tasty. Overall though the ambience (and service) is definitely what you come here for + the drinks

Such a cool space to hang out! Love the lighting and the vibe, especially the music played by the live DJ on vinyl. Sound system is awesome. They have a terrific indoor and outdoor space. Greatly enjoyed the Shattered Manhattan and the Shrimp Cocktail. Service was great! Just found another of my favorite spots in PDX!

Date: Sunday, March 2nd, 2024 Time: around 7:45pm Party of: 3 *Macallan 12 ($16.50) *MARTINI BEZZERA ($13) *SHATTERED MANHATTAN ($15) *Oban 14 ($20) *MULE VARIATION ($13) After dinner with an old friend, my group of three wanted to continue drinking. (We were on vacation, so why not?!) Since we were parting ways, I asked my friend and his girl (they live in Portland) where to go. They suggested Keys. Luckily they drove to dinner so they dropped us off as it doesn't seem like there are other restaurants or bars around this spot. The place is kinda charming and eclectic. If memory serves, there's a corner that resembled a living room with cozy chairs, records, etc. It wasn't too busy, so we easily grabbed a table inside. There is an outdoor area with a fireplace. We contemplated going out there, but it was cold, so I wanted to stay inside. Cocktails here are good. Spirits pricing is about the same as home. Allt he drinks were nicely balanced, not too sweet. The manhattan was nice and spirit forward, the espresso martini wasn't too sweet, and mule refreshing and tart. I enjoyed them all. A cozy spot to grab some drinks. Tho their tables are a lil dirty / sticky. Took a away from the enjoyment a little. Still a solid place for cocktails. REVIEW #3733

If only we lived closer - we'd be proud regulars! For a midweek or weekend date night or cool friend hangout, Keys has clearly thought of everything from the customer experience perspective! Interior design is both gorgeous, retro, special and casual all at once. We missed the happy hour, but loved our lobster special ($25!), fabulous Mac and cheese with bechemel sauce, and Brussels sprouts. Very reasonably priced - including their specialty cocktails! Servers and staff were delightful! Complete with a live vinyl record DJ...unreal!:) Only feedback: a little less salt on the food please:)

I've had this place bookmarked on my Yelp for awhile now and finally made some time to swing by today since I had the day off. This bar has a really cool, dark, and moody ambiance that sets the tone for a laid-back night out. Decor was cute and unique. Records displayed on one wall to the right of the bar. The bartop is lined with tons of gold keys, which adds a fun touch. We originally sat in a booth near the bar but ended up grabbing seats by the fire when 2 customers left, which made it such a cozy spot to hang out. The drinks were refreshing and well made. There's a very small happy hour menu, with happy hour offered during the week and all day on Tuesdays, which is a nice bonus. They also run a lobster roll special on Wednesdays, which I was told by the bartender that most times they sell out. On certain nights, they host live music and live DJs, giving the place a lively but intimate neighborhood vibe. Street parking is available, though limited. A sweet neighborhood cat even wandered in and joined us for a bit. She was super cuddly and added to the charm of the night. Overall, a great spot for good drinks, cool vibes, and a relaxed evening. Will be stopping in again soon!

I wish we never came here. Worst place we've been to! Super racist and did not care about us at all. Nothing like the posts! We went out of our way to drive all the way there and the servers were VERY RUDE! Definitely think they don't care about brown people. My boyfriend is white and even he felt that way! Do NOT SUPPORT this place!!

The inside of the lounge absolutely is not a reflection of the outside. It is definitely a vibe, even the outside seating. It has a laid back vintage feel and really is uber casual. The bartender, don't know their/ or her name was chill and friendly. They/or she was very helpful and gave great service. The food was elevated compared to many other late night lounges or bars. The dishes were actually carefully crafted and you could really taste the flavors of lemon in the brussel sprouts and the cheese sauce in the mac was smackin, oh and usually I do not like breadcrumb topping but it was cheesy, crunchy goodness. My only gripe is the overpriced mocktail , $9 for a swallow and mostly ice; the flavor however was on point; it had cucumber and lime.

Super cute space with a lot of seating available and decorations for admire. Nice experience listening to jazz on Saturday night and chatting with the bartender. Drink is delicious, cheesecake was eh alright.

Aspen greets me like an old friend, a happy welcome into an expansive, ethereal space that feels more like LA than (perennially in the 90s) Portland. Low lounge & hi-top tables surround an open-air kitchen - transparency in the atmosphere as well as their "nose-to-tail" cooking techniques. The bar is long and dotted with glowing agate votives, vines extending down over a broad selection of booze (whisky & bourbon by style, including Japanese). One menu offers cheeky cocktails, mocktails, and a wide variety of Willamette bottles + a broad selection of European & South American wines. Another menu presents Cold dishes/RAW bar/Small Plates & Larger (sharing recommended). First course is a bluefin TUNA SASHIMI (butchered in-house with absolute precision) alongside a Serrano black sugar tamari (RIDICULOUS blend of salty/umami/spicy/sweet and smartly balanced by THICK-cut servings of tuna & chutoro (3x3). The fresh fish shines, as does explosive flavor in the sauce. Brilliant, bravo! Second, bartender recommends a house-favorite DUMPLING - this is one like never before, blending Linguiça (a Portuguese sausage), leeks, and cabbage that has a familiar texture within tissue-thin rice dumplings, but completely original umami, especially paired with the Japanese curry. It's wholesome and comforting, not too filling, and entirely new. THIRD if I MAE (pronunciation, questionable) - LAMB SPARE RIBS in a heaping portion with sweet/spicy tamarind sticky sauce that's barely reminiscent of BBQ, a perfect counter-balance to fatty, slightly gamey lamb. It's the cilantro herb salad on top & green olive tapenade that make it sing - textures and flavors are exotic, playful, herbal & funky (in a good way) all at once. Whether you're seeking a hot date night, a special staycation (right here in the Historic Arts District), or hosting a board meeting, there is space and plenty of taste for all, with a refinement in technique characteristic of larger cities. A sweet and savory reminder that family is a state of mind, and we're all connected for better or worse.

To speak about Teardrop Lounge, I should probably start with this:…read more Ladies and gentlemen, I present my favorite cocktail bar. Not the best -- I'm not arrogant enough to claim that. I haven't been to every cocktail bar in Portland, and saying something is the best usually says more about your lack of experience than your conviction. But favorite? That I can stand behind. And I want to get that out of the way early, because of the amount of praise I'm about to pour on this place -- fully earned, completely intentional. The biggest crime here is that I only discovered it two weeks ago, after living in Portland for a year. It had been recommended to me countless times, and I ignored it. A mistake. A painful one. But now that I've found it, I don't plan on making that mistake again. I'm not typically an Old Fashioned drinker. In fact, I usually hate them. But somewhere between curiosity and too many episodes of Mad Men, I decided to try one anyway -- fully expecting to confirm my bias. Instead, it completely flipped me. Bright, almost citrus-forward in a way that felt unusual but entirely intentional. Balanced, smooth, just enough burn to remind you what you're drinking without overwhelming it. It was the first time I actually understood the appeal. I'm pretty sure I grew a few chest hairs that night. That alone would've been impressive. But it didn't stop there. The space is beautiful -- clean, intentional, but not cold. The staff are excellent: personable, engaged, and most importantly, authentic. Not scripted, not performative. The kind of people you actually want to talk to, and hopefully, eventually be on a first-name basis with. Now, all of that gets it close to a perfect score. But what pushes it over the edge -- what makes this place stick -- is the White Russian. One of the first drinks I ever had. My dad's drink. Not because of The Big Lebowski -- that came later -- but because it's just always been his thing. And at some point, it became mine too. Typically, when bars try to "elevate" a White Russian, they ruin it. They overthink it. Swap ingredients, tweak ratios, add unnecessary flair. And more often than not, it ends in disappointment. Teardrop does the opposite. They respect it -- but refine it. The coffee liqueur actually tastes like coffee. The heavy cream is properly integrated, not just dumped on top. The vodka -- whatever they're using -- is clean, present, and perfectly measured. There's a subtle complexity to it without losing what makes the drink what it is. It's the best White Russian I've ever had. No hesitation. I've gone back twice just to make sure it wasn't a fluke. It wasn't. If someone asked me what my death row drink would be -- this specific cocktail, from this specific bar, is in the conversation. Easily. Teardrop Lounge doesn't just make great cocktails. It reminds you why cocktails matter in the first place. And that's why it's my favorite.

There are a few dining tables inside if you're planning to have a meal as well. The bartender was incredibly friendly and took the time to chat with me after I asked for a few recommendations. The drinks were excellent, well-balanced, flavorful, and actually tasted like proper cocktails instead of just juice. They definitely didn't skimp on the alcohol either! I'm really glad I chose this place to celebrate. It ended up being the perfect spot for the occasion.
