Great customer service, super knowledgeable. A pleasure to visit. Special attention that you absolutely DO NOT get at the big stores. Close to home. Visiting this store has made minor home a success! Im a woman and not at all familiar with tools and hardware or "guy" things. With an explanation of how to change a washer to stop a bathtub faucet from leaking ( i wanted to start with something simple) and a little reassurance that if I needed to call or got stuck to call them. Are you tired of getting your steps in wandering round one of those big box stores watching the employees scurry off in the opposite direction in case you ask them something? Then come to Keystone Hardware (I think they aren't an Ace anymore) where the employees are friendly and may or may not have what you need! (Hey, they're a small operation). I still try to come here first and even if they don't have what I'm looking for I leave without feeling a little part of me died inside. One time I ordered some paint and they gave it to me with a rusty lid. I was kind of annoyed at the time but the guy said it wouldn't affect the paint and it turned out he was right. Came here several times to get keys cut this weekend as we changed some locks and needed spares. Staff were friendly and helpful. I thought $2.49 a key was reasonable. I paid $5 per key in the loop last time I got keys cut. Support your local neighbourhood business. read more

Brought a window in for repair Saturday morning was told to pick up Wednesday. Called Wednesday morning they said it was on the table to be next. Went in Thursday and still not done. Got glass and did myself, don't go here for glass repair, no sorry I didn't get it done and no one shopping here so it wasn't like they were busy. Love this place. Old school hardware still exists. When we have a problem we're working on, we go consult keystone and they take care of us. Plus we bought a great grill and yard swing from them this summer, and both are stellar. It's hard to see from the street, but worth going in. If you prefer help in a hardware store, rather than wandering alone in a big box store, this is a great spot. read more

found everything i needed! felt as if you walked around long enough you truly could find things in aces. it is not home depot and filled w high brightly lit ceilings. but it's jam packed with affordable items of a higher quality from the ol crafty beaver. the staff is sweet and bilingual. [at least those i spoke with--in contrast to the last time i was at home depot on addison and the girl behind the counter got super annoyed cuando una senora le hablaba en espanol a la morenita con nombre latino.] also, they provide recyclable paper sacks instead of plastic. will definitely return. read more

Not sure what all this negativity is about. This is a hardware store. The aisles are tiny and stocked high and might not make sense. That's kind of the nature of these independent Ace hardware stores. This is the first Yelp review I've ever written, mostly because the people who write Yelp reviews are, largely, entitled morons who are more interested in making a stink on a website where their fragile entitlement can remain intact than actually trying to DO SOMETHING in the situation. I've had the pleasure of responding to Yelp reviews for the past two years at the cafe I work at and you wouldn't believe the levels of stupidity I've experienced. Amendment to my previous review: I love this place. Great neighborhood hardware store. I don't know why anyone would battle Home Depot when there are places like this. Helpful friendly staff. They let me bring my dog in and are always happy to see him! They generally have what I need. I did just find out they are not on the Ace Hardware delivery to store program which is disappointing. This is a good place. A little old and crowded feeling, but that's a hardware store. I have only been a few times but the staff is helpful. It feels family owned and operated which I like. read more

a good hardware store with helpful staff. You won't be allowed to wander aimlessly without someone helping you either with advice, or the location of the parts you came in there for. Bill's first to review logic is that cost is king, & the box stores are preferred. That leaves no room for these 2 questions. 1 - What's your time worth? usually it's possible to be in & out of a neighborhood shop before a trek from the parking lot at the Walmart of home repair. 2 - In the box stores, you may find someone who can direct you to the correct isle, but that's usually the (upper) limit of help. It's hard to find any technical knowledge to help you through a 'how to fix it' problem for your home. read more

I'm not a usual reviewer but I wanted to counteract the other review, I guess. This place is minutes from my house, but admittedly, I go to Home Depot more often, assuming they'll have more. However, every time I go in here they are EXTREMELY helpful and they have always had what i'm looking for, no matter how obscure. The place still has price stickers in everything and a cash register... its a dying breed. But it had quality products and excellent service and you feel you're supporting the community rather than a giant corporation. read more

So I'm in a pinch for some pepper spray, and this place totally has it. The lady says it's her last one and she reserves it for me til I get there....no big whoop. Same lady at the counter when I show up......and I don't have to walk down 7 aisles to find it.....I'm looking at you Home Depot. I get all of my keys made here - a dollar less than home depot, they let me bring my dog in, and it has such a small town kind of feel... I also like that the owner is super friendly-- you just don't get this kind of service at bigger stores. read more

This morning I had the most helpful & wonderful experience at this store. I needed a few keys cut & the very helpful girl behind the counter greeted me warmly & even suggested that I could get designers keys made for not much more than the regular ones. She cut the keys to perfection & asked if I she could be of assistance with anything else I was in need of.....I had a list. So...she took me down each of the isles offering me several different types of each item that I was in need of, varying in price! PERFECT!....Also, a young man that was stocking when I walking in, stopped to help me as well. He was very knowledgeable as to all my paint needs, as well as parts for my broken grill. He really knew what I was talking about & needed.........In this day & age when BIG huge hardware stores have pushed the little guys out of business, it is refreshing to have a neighborhood store I could walk to, to get all my hardward needs & then some. I'd pay the extra few bucks just for the conveinience. Kudos to YOU Keysone Ace & YOUR wonderful staff. Don't ever change! Btw....this was a Wednesday morning at 8:30am! read more
