They had a great amount of Mayo but the bread itself tasted old and was just super dry and cold. The chicken was very small, not even enough to fill up the sandwich/bun, it was more bread than anything. The order itself was correct which was appreciated and also they were quick to get my food to my Dasher which I appreciated but I'll skip on the sandwiches next time and stick with the fried chicken (which should've been a no brainer from the jump) Would return again, just staying away from anything involving a bun. The very convenient location every time I get a KFC craving I come to get a couple of items mostly a KFC bowl with a dirty Pepsi I think it's called But some things I noticed is the food doesn't always taste the same And one minute the KFC bowl is in a big to go container then the next time I come it's in a super small container I also hate the fact that whether I order through the drive-through or place my order over the phone ahead of time when it comes time for me to come pick it up in the drive-through they always make me park and wait for them to bring my order to the car, even if I'm the only car in the drive-through and you would think my food would come out piping hot considering I had to wait, but really it's cold... Nope. This place is gross. I saw the Twister was back. That was one of my fave things at KFC back in the 90's. I decided to order it. It looked nothing like the photo. No lettuce at all. It was just 2 chicken strips in a tortilla with a glob of mayonnaise at the bottom of the tortilla and like a few bits of chopped tomatoes and I guess lettuce? I wasn't sure. Maybe it was pieces of the coleslaw? Whatever it was was disgusting and looked nothing like the advertisement. Shame on management for allowing this. There were a few times where they've forgotten a sauces. ALWAYS CHECK BEFORE DRIVING OFF. KFC is my go-to fried chicken spot, even with other options out there. I love their chicken! It's been a long while since I stopped into KFC. While running errands and hunger arose, I decided why not? Loved KFC as a kid, especially their original recipe. This time decided to try their other offerings: Mango Habanero Fried Chicken Sandwich, and Chipotle nuggets. Was pleasantly surprised as I actually like the sammie better than the Chick Fil-A, Burger King, and Popeye's versions. Nuggets were solid too. Download their app for coupon specials. Well, it's been about 3 years, so I guess I will update my review of Alameda's only KFC restaurant. I had a craving for fried chicken, and it was still early enough to hit the KFC drive-thru. I ordered the 4-pc meal combo for about $15, and selected "extra crispy." You can't really mess up the sides because there's no choice. The 4-pc meal comes with a biscuit, mash & gravy, and a soda. The biscuit and mashed potatoes were so-so. But the fried chicken was fresh and juicy. The breast was as big as my hand. I also had 2 drums and a wing section. FYI: The wing section w/ little drumstick is considered white meat. My soda didn't have enough ice, and the drink wasn't cold. The problem with my KFC experience on April 28, had to do with how they operate their drive-thru. The Alameda KFC has a small parking lot and narrow drive-thru. What they did was....they park cars after you pay. Usually, you order, pay, and then get your order. At KFC, you order, pay, and then wait in the parking lot. I had to park in a delivery driver space, up against a blue handicap zone. The parking lot is too small, hard to maneuver in, and only has one driveway (in and out). Geez, the reason why I used the drive-thru was to avoid parking in your lot! Next time, I'm parking in the street and then wait outside the door for my order. read more

Well we waited, then called to ask about our order and got some lie about how soon it'll be ready and why and then we waited some more. 0/10 would NOT recommend. I chose the original recipe and it tasted like regular fried chicken that I get at Safeway. I'm just glad the chicken was fully cooked. The last time I had KFC, there were some chicken pieces that weren't cooked properly and the inside were raw. This is a small location with only a couple of tables inside. I guess I got lucky with great food and service during a slow hour on a Sunday. We ordered an 8pc family meal, 6 chicken tenders, and a spicy chicken sandwich. We went through the drive through. Our order was completed quickly, there were no mistakes, the cashier was really courteous and generous with the sauces. Chicken was hot, crispy, well-seasoned, and delicious. We saw this little boy standing waiting to order at the DRIVE THRU SPEAKER and we were so confused. We let this lady go ahead of us since she told us what they were doing. There is a certain consistency you'd expect from fast food restaurants. I didn't expect stellar service and this place did not dissapoint. On the contrary, it doubled down on lousy service. My order was incorrectly taken several times (not just once), which meant that the server was not paying attention at all (and I was the only one at the counter). I know I shouldn't expect much but I almost felt that he and his co-worker were deliberately providing bad service. And on top of that, I KNOW they over-charged me (gave me a small side for the price of a large). Lastly, I came home and at the very least, I was hoping to erase all this bad experience with some familiar and finger-lickin' good originals from the Colonel himself. SADLY, the chicken was overfried and tasted bad (considering I love all kinds of fried chicken). It didn't even taste like a KFC anything. I don't know... maybe the proprietors of this place don't care or don't have high expectations for service and quality of food. I've had better at other locations so three stars seems appropriate. The drive thru is some times a bit slow compared to parking and ordering inside. My neighbor though has told me that there was a time when he went through the drive thru and the lady forgot to give him his change.
