The absolute worst location I'm not sure how they stay open. They pull you up even if the place is empty so they have better stats. Went there tonight 45 mins until close. The last said it will be a 30 min wait and we said okay. Then she said well our fryers are going down. Why even have hours if you can open and close when you feel like it??? Good morning, I went through drive thru because I'm Disabled and it's just easier to use the drive thru, and I'm sure the reason they are always Late with Food Orders is because the manager is the only one working, and she's under the impression that they're Food is too be made to ORDER which it isn't. We tried the new Beyond Chicken today at KFC in Benton Harbor and loved it!! Service was friendly and everything was ready almost immediately. The texture of the Beyond is amazing - I read about how they were working to replicate the muscle in chicken and the final product is fascinating! Well done KFC, we'll be back! The dining experience was severely compromised by the subpar food quality and inadequate service. The inability to maneuver my vehicle due to parked cars obstructing the drive-thru exit exacerbated the inconvenience. Additionally, the extended wait time of approximately 20 minutes for four items that were clearly prepared and placed in a bucket or under a heating element was unacceptable. Placed an order for an 8 piece family meal. The wait was about 10-12 minutes to get it and it was still wrong. A family meal has two of each piece and what I got was just legs and thighs. Tried to call the restaurant and they did not answer. Filed a complaint on the KFC website but I doubt they do anything. read more

Where do I begin? The grease needed to be changed... as the grease the chicken pieces are cooked in, was soaked into the skin and the meat. The color of the skin was a lot darker than the chicken strips..as you can see. Evidently the strips are cooked in a different fryer? They forgot to include the gravy. The potatoes were good. As good as instant can be..I had no problem with them. The coleslaw is tasty but they have a habit of putting it in the bag on the bottom of two bowls of HOT mashed potatoes. So..in short. The chicken strips were good.. The potatoes..good. The gravy..not to be found in my order.. The coleslaw..warm. The biscuits were ok too. The bucket of chicken..meaning thighs..legs..breasts..wings...were AWFUL. Those pieces were so soaked with old oil..you couldn't even eat the chicken. This is NOT my first time here. I live 25 miles away and have driven here a few times hoping it wouldn't be so bad. It just keeps getting worse. .. I will not be back. I asked for a second to decide what I wanted then when I was ready I had to repeat "hello?" about 5 times before I got a response and then he couldn't hear us so we had to go up to the window. The only positive was he said the food would take 8 minutes but it took like 2. After we had already confirmed we had the right food, we started to leave and we hear a worker calling after us. If I could give a negative star I would the chicken was so soggy and greasy the skin was saturated and falling off, our order of fries were half full and the biscuits were hard. The coleslaw was the best part of the meal, I wouldn't go there again if it was the last restaurant open in town. I do not believe they should receive any stars at all. In the pre rush of Christmas, I decided that I would stop at my local KFC in Benton Harbor and pickup dinner for my family. When I went to place my order for the 12 PC meal with extra crispy chicken, I was informed that they were out of extra crispy for the night. So, I switched to original and got three sides of potatoe wedges, coleslaw and potatoes and gravy with biscuits. There were two cars ahead of me so they ask me to pull to the wait area and they would bring my order out once done. I waited over 20 minutes for our food to be brought out to the car. I was not upset, I just figured they were just getting a little backed. My house is 5 minutes from KFC, upon arriving home, I started putting the food out. The chicken was a dark, dark brown colored (burnt)! There were a few pieces that were lighter about 1 to 2 inches in size, not sure what part of the chicken they were from. Instead of 12 pieces there were 9 and two of the nine were of this strange cut up pieces and the rest was burnt. When I went to get the lighter pieces out I realized they were only partially fried and the outside coating on them was still wet and could be scraped off. I then went and opened one of the sides and found with the side order of potato wedges we only got approximately 11 pieces that were flat and were in no way really considered wedges. I immediately called the store and spoke to someone who identified herself as the mgr. I explained to her what I had gotten and that I was extremely unhappy that the $40 I had spent had resulted in this type of service, she thanked me for calling, told me to have a nice evening and hung up on me! I would strongly suggest that you check you order before leaving their drive thru if you go there for food or better yet go to Popeyes which is just around the corner. I know I am definitely talking to some in the county about the chicken that was not fried enough as well as KFC about this entire sutuation. read more

Not friendly, not engaged, not clean, not pleasant at all, in ANY regard. I refuse to eat at any fast food restaurant in Benton Harbor. Go to Martins Supermarket for really good fried chicken and pleasant staff. Also, I wonder what happens behind the scenes at these places. What you can witness is bad enough. Terrible drive through service. Nobody ahead of me at 9pm on a slow night. Asked to pull up and waIt after paid. The only way we'll ever eat here again is if everywhere else in Benton Harbor shuts down. There are simply too many things wrong with this place to justify going again. I had to get a quick lunch with my girlfriend before catching a bus, and we agreed on chicken. So we walk in and start talking to the people at the counter- and apparently these two are cooks, and here comes the counter guy, with his impossible-to-understand accent and general not-really-caring attitude. It takes us five minutes to order, where we have to stress each item until he understands it. So we go to get drinks, and apparently our trials aren't over yet. The Mountain Dew is out, and the Sierra Mist tap is so gunked up that it doesn't shut off when I pull the cup away. I have to wiggle it until the blasted thing shuts off. By this time, our food is ready, so we go and sit down- but if we were eating there, why were we getting our food in take-out boxes when other people had plates? Then there were the three trips we had to take back to the counter. First, it was because we were shorted a side of mashed potatoes. The second time, it was because of the fact we only got a spork and a fork to eat with- and had to go ask for another spork so my girlfriend could eat her potatoes. Third, it was for some butter- by the way, when did "buttery spread" start coming in packets? But yeah, the worst part was when we were eating the food and got to listen to the counter guy make an idiot out of himself and the restaurant: Hispanic gentleman, in Spanish: "Habla espanol?" Counter Guy: "Sorry, we only speak English here." Cue Hispanic gentleman leaving in a huff and me and the girlfriend exchanging OMGWTF looks, and her remarking that if she'd acted that way to a customer, it would have been her job. Yeah, we won't be back. Ever. There are plenty of other restaurants that deserve business on that stretch of road. Ignore this one. read more

I was completely disappointed when I went to try the new bbq chicken . The first time I went they gave me regular chicken and I did not find out until I got home. The second time I went I was told the bbq chicken would cost an additional 50 cents per piece if I wanted bbq. Naturally I told the order taker that I did not want any. On the positive side, the food we got was properly prepared and hot. Now, the order was supposed to have been 12 pc of chicken, cole slaw, mashed pot, biscuits and gravy. Now here's the bad part. We went back to the store get the missing parts and the manager implied that we were lying, that we should have checked the order before we left the lot, spent some of her time when she could have been fixing our problem asserting that she has packed that order and knew it was correct. And never apologized. When I ran a KFC and a mistake was made. first we apologized, and then fixed it, and invited them back with a coupon. We will not return to this store. The manager has no aptitude for this kind of work. During the time we were there a nice looking young man asked about the open position that is advertised. We visited this location while on our way home after a full day of traveling and not only did we wait a long time for our food, the customer service was non existent. First of all, the cashier never asked us if we were done ordering and had to get the manager to reset the screen twice because she finished the order and had to go back in to add the food we were still trying to order. While we were waiting for our food, the employees started yelling at each other with the manager getting into a full blown screaming fit with one of the employees that ended with the employee walking out. We had ordered our food to eat in the restaurant and for the next 20 minutes that we were there the employees continued fighting with each other loudly and even kept other customers waiting for several minutes while they kept fighting. To sum up, it was an uncomfortable situation that was poorly handled by the manager and all employees involved and it was extremely inappropriate that the situation was happening in front of paying customers. The food was decent which is why they got a star but I would highly recommend going through drive through only at this location! read more

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE. Literally the worst service I've ever had. I placed and order in the drive-through it took forever but I finally got my food. I told them they forgot my drink, so they brought that to me. I decided to check my bag before leaving and I was missing my biscuits my cookies and a side. I was also missing an entire chicken breast. At that point they had only given me a quarter of my order. I decided to go inside because the drive-through was slow. I tried to open the door and it was locked. So I knocked on the door until someone who seemed very annoyed walked over to open it. She said in a very disrespectful tone that the lobby was closed. I didn't understand this because it was only 630pm on a Tuesday it wasn't anywhere near closing time. I just told her I needed the rest of my order. I gave her my receipt and told her what I was missing. I stood in the door while she yelled back to all of the people. She sounded annoyed that she had to get the rest of my food. I stood there for 10 minutes while they brought me My missing items one by one. Finally they finished bringing me my order and I reminded them I still needed a chicken breast . From start to finish it took over 30 minutes to get my food. I can't even describe the level of hostility that came from this worker I would say I would never go back but i love KFC and I always have hope it will get better‍ read more

Don't waste your money or your time, this KFC needs to be closed. Terrible management, employees almost nonexistent and extremely rude, food is either cold or left out of order. Too many complaints to list all but a few examples: I went to drive thru one hour after open time and was finally told closed (manager alone no employees showed up) the next day same story; another time tried because new menu item and after three visits ordering item and requesting finally it be freshly cooked, every time it was cold. Another time I placed a simple order and before leaving the order intercom asked to add on-a side item, at the window was charged three times what the price should have been because it wasn't part of my original order, I explained I hadn't been given a final price on ordering or left the ordering intercom, but the usual rude comment, you want it or not? I enjoying come here! The staff is great and they can start conversation easily without any small talk. My boyfriend and I went to get a quick dinner and the lady that was working on the front counter was kind. She let us know what was good on the menu and introduced herself. When I walked in the door there were 3 employees on break, and one taking the orders and making the food. I ordered my food, paid, and sat down to wait for it to come out. But, it never came out. I went up to the counter to ask what the deal was after waiting 20 minutes and sitting and watching everyone else I was with finish eating their food. Turns out, they had given my food to a woman who had come in 10 minutes after me, and had forgotten to make another one for me. So I ended up waiting another 5 minutes to get the re-made famous bowl I had ordered over 20 minutes ago at this point. I had a bad experience with this KFC tonight, and I must amend my prior review. I have usually had very good service at this KFC, but I mostly use the Drive thru. Tonight when I went through the drive thru, I ordered 3 famous bowl fill up box meals. Drove up to the window, and waited.......Finally a girl came up to the window and took my CC, then told me they just dropped the chicken for the famous bowls, and I would have to wait. Now I am a reasonable person, and I understand that food takes time to cook, and this is acceptable for me, so I ask her if she would like me to pull my car aside. She tells me "no". After a couple of minutes she comes back to the window and asks me to pull my car to the side, and I comply, SHE DOES NOT GIVE US OUR DRINKS. 18 minutes pass, and finally a guy (who was very nice) brings us our order, but he doesn't have our drinks. He tells me "don't worry I will run them right out for you", another 6 minutes pass, and the original cashier girls is now hanging out the drive thru window waving us to come inside. I go in, and she hands me my drinks in a drink carrier. Now I understand that you have young kids working for you, and things can happen, but in this situation, you should have a manager who is in control. It is apparent to me that this KFC has a management problem. It did have a happy ending though, when we got how, the Famous bowls were the best ones ever, they at least did a very nice job with the food. read more

This is the probably the fourth and last time I enter this restaurant I figure I walk into the restaurant and get my order right which I did order right but you know Steph there's always waiting to get rid of you rushing you as quick as possible and Long Haul before you know it they messed up your order so went there for some golden tenders which is the nastiest chicken tenders I've ate my life so hard as a rock and they will lukewarm like they've been standing there forever or there being selective of who gets what fresh there I'm not here to entertain anybody you know you spend $20 for 8 chicken tenders and mashed potatoes and by the way I ordered two orders of potato wedges which I never received and they told me everything is in there you know Benton Harbor property I'm going to rate them with all this food especially these are french fries places where the food supposed to be on the money as they say it now it's consistently KFC garbage quality of food somebody in cooking it right somebody's overcooking it and I don't know what they're doing that's not my profession they should get their act together all people should sign petitions to shut the place down read more
