Been to this location several times; KFC is like that distant cousin that you only see once in a while, but you know for sure you will definitely see them. I probably come here at least 2-3 times a year nowadays. First of all, the Original Recipe is still one of the best fried chicken flavors in the competitive market of existing and upcoming chicken spots. The one thing that is unlike the chicken I tasted years ago is the quality. Sometimes it's cooked perfect, sometimes not so much. Maybe it sits in the warmer too long, or sometimes it comes out of the oven too early. Might vary between franchises, but the quality is not consistent these days. Food quality has been very inconsistent in the Diamond Bar KFC north of Sunset Crossing Rd. On this visit on Friday, Jan 30, 2026, we were unable to order inside because orders were only processed with the kiosk; they don't use a cashier except for the drive-thru. We left and won't ever go back to the Diamond Bar KFC--terrible customer service. We drove to the KFC on Arrow Highway in San Dimas, where the staff cares, and the food is always very good. We ordered with a live cashier and paid with cash. San Dimas even had unsweetened iced tea. Excellent experience. PepsiCo corporate and Yum Foods should be notified about the franchised Diamond Bar store. It would be best to close it. The building would make a nice coffee shop under new owners. read more

We ordered some food online. My wife went to pick up and use the drive thru. First, one of the orders was not ready even though the App said it was ready to pick up. Then the old KFC lady was so mad when handing the food to my wife, and told my wife to "Come in to the store for pick up order next time!!!" She kind of threw the food to my wife. Horrible experience. The employee who helped us was unwilling to accommodate us for being out of chicken. Rather than offering to replace the unavailable items, she demanded we contact support for a refund because it wasnt her problem. Her answers were short and unbothered, simply "no" to all our questions. And when we asked for water she declined because cups are not free, declining water despite us having already placed an online order. Her attitude was unnecessary and rude throughout the whole experience from the beginning. This was around 11pm, close to closing so I understand unavailability, however, not offering a replacement does not sit right. She basically threw the order at us. I assume she might have been a manager because she was wearing a pink shirt. To top it all off, we were missing items in our order, so we had to come back and deal with her attitude again. I have stopped here over the years driving through ... used to live around the corner though, a few years ago. This stop floored me. The quality of the chicken was pretty poor, fries decent .... but here was the kicker. In all my years at any KFC, i could change from Mashed to fries ... without even thinking twice.... never an issue. Today, i was charged $0.50 extra for the purpose of changing the order, not for any additional cost for one versus the other. The drive up window person told me the computer does all the computing, nothing she could do to eliminate a "change Charge". If this isn't greed and stupidity i don't know what is. I have been ordering from this place for more than 25 years i think and now, this was my last time. Went there to pick up dinnet dinnerr. I typically don't like drive through so I went inside. Me another guy walk up to the register to order and the lady points us to a kiosk. I ask her, so you won't take my order? She replies no, I only take drive though orders. Then with a bit of attitude says unless you want to wait. We both went to the kiosk to place our orders. TLDR: Nashville Hot chicken: 4/5 Hilariously, one of the reviews in here is knocking this place for not being healthy...if you're looking for healthy food, I'm not sure why you would come to KFC, nor am I sure why you're eating fried chicken.... That tidbit aside, this KFC location is pretty much what you'd expect from a KFC. Some of the older reviews I've seen have complained about the chicken being dry, but as far as my recent experience (two days ago) the chicken was pretty juicy, and the skin was perfectly crisp. My personal favorite on their menu is their Nashville hot chicken. It's definitely no howlin' rays, but it still is pretty good quality for a KFC. The slightly spicy, almost hot Cheetos-like skin, complemented by the juiciness of the chicken, provided a delicious assortment of flavors that I wouldn't really expect from KFC usually. There are no other fried chicken fast food joints in diamond bar, so this would be the best option if you're not willing to travel over 6 miles. read more

KFC, an old childhood favorite of mine! As an adult now, I no longer like it nearly as much, but my kids love it. Service at this drive through is always attentive and friendly. Can't go wrong with the crispy KFC chicken, sides of sweet corn, mashed potatoes, & coleslaw. The dark meat chicken is always tender and juicy; the white meat tends to be more dry.
