First of all, I regret not coming sooner. The chicken sandwiches are really delicious. The chicken seems to be marinated before batter and fry so it's flavorful and juicy. The bun was soft, and the tomato/lettuce/pickles were delicious. The only thing I didn't like was the sauce was not mayo, it's sweet and creamy. The nuggets were delicious. Been meaning to come since they first opened and finally had the chance to come try! We got the original chicken wings bucket, the waffle fries, a waffle, and a drink. The chicken wings are delicious they use dark meat which is moist and has a thin lightly fried layer. The waffle fries are also crispy and tasty. The waffle is on the thicker end but still love the sugar they add in it which gives a good sweetness to go with your savory chicken. I don't feel overly greasy or full even after eating all of it! My only recommendation would be to add a thin paper on the trays as it does tend to be a little messy, but that's just preference! The chicken sandwich was good but a little dry, maybe a little more mayo and heat up the buns a little would be better. It seems like they got the buns right out of the plastic bags. The chicken patty was almost cold when I got home in 10 minutes. The chicken wings was pretty good, it was still hot in temperature and is crunchy. It has a little flavor. This is a fast food chain that started in China back in 2000. There isn't anything Chinese in terms of flavor as it's meant to taste like an American fast food place, but the price seems better than most fast food places these days. Just look at its 3 for $10 menu where most of the items are slightly under or slightly above $10. Best deal is its 3 regular chicken sandwiches for $10 deal. Menu is very similar to Chick-Fil-A. Everything is chicken based with either fried or grilled chicken as an option for its sandwiches and wraps. My family and I ordered its regular fried chicken sandwich, grilled chicken club, spicy deluxe chicken sandwich, tempura chicken nuggets, and waffle fries. Total was $23 after tax. Now that's a great deal. Food took a while to make as everything is made to order, but everything tasted pretty good. My favorite was the spicy deluxe chicken sandwich. Had pretty good texture and wasn't too spicy. The grilled chicken sandwich was quite tender but also stringy, as if the muscles on the chicken had split. Only main complaint is lack of free sauce offerings. Other than ketchup, this place doesn't offer any additional sauces without a fee. I think it's $0.39 per sauce. I don't mind paying for extra sauces but I think it should at least offer one of its signature sauce for free. Unironically, actually my favorite fried chicken place ever. They had an opening deal for 3 sandwiches for $10 - and each of the sandwiches were full sized chicken sandwiches, the types that usually cost over $10 just for each one. So the quantity is amazing. Food comes out fairly fast, but that should be expected with a limited menu (ie, they're just cranking these bad boys out on an assembly line like the 626 does with guys with tapered fadecuts and gross sneakers). Anyways, the big thing about this place is that they primarily use juicy, moist dark meat for their chicken. You can tell, because sometimes you see angry reviews on the internet about people genuinely confused and distraught that their chicken has a "weird texture", because they've been used to eating dry white meat chicken their entire life (many such cases in America). This one special trick - normies hate it! - pretty much ensures that Wallace Chicken gets to clown on basically almost all domestic fried chicken sandwich places. Not to mention that the vegetables come out nice in the sandwich (nothing too soggy) and the sauce is creamy but not overly decadent (I'm looking at you Raisin Canes). I ordered their "3 for $10 Special," comprised of three of their chicken sandos plus a bucket of 45 chicken nuggets for $18.99. Pros: Value for Buck- At $5/sando and $9/8pk nuggets, today's quantity of food would've set me back approximately $103 at my local ChiK-Fil-A, also in Walnut. So there's NO CONTEST...Wallace TROUNCES it's more established American rival when it comes to price. Good, Fast Service- The young man who took my order waa pleasant, restated my order to endure accuracy and even graciously offered me a water cup while I waited (less than four minutes) for my order to be fulfilled. Clean, Modern Look- The store is brightly lit, spacious and clean. And...Is it ME or do all of today's fast casual restaurants buy their HVAC ductwork from the same supplier? Then...they all display them in the same manner too, riiiiiiight??! Lol. Caliber of Sando (Mostly)- The sandwich is, for the most part, a winner. Wallace trumps CFA eith their dense, pillowy brioche buns and pleasantly sweet pickles...but stumbles on the CONSTRUCTION of their sandos...which I'll elaborate on, below. Cons: Sandwich Construction- Because Wallace employs boneless chicken thighs for their sandos, they invariably stack 3 or 4 smaller thigh segments to assemble their sandwiches. The result is a messier, wetter dining experience. CFA goes with the larger, white meat breast, which results in a cleaner, easier to eat vessel. Restroom Tidiness- I found the restroom trash bin overflowing, the soap dispenser bone dry and the room suffused with the unmistakable tang of weed...prolly due to the previous customer. This place tastes good! I'd definitely be coming back. I enjoyed their spicy fried chicken deluxe combo. This play did take some time to get our food ready, however it was super busy so it's understandable. The house "wa" sauce goes good with the sandwiches and fries. It is their version of the chic fil a sauce. The waffle fries and regular friends are also good!! Super casual place and can get busy. read more

TLDR: It's another chicken sandwich spot that tries to do something different. You'll have a good amount of options in terms of food and I think it's worth a try. Chicken Sandwich: If chick fil a is the gold standard then this is an emerald. Wallace's chicken sandwich wants diners to enjoy the food but they threw a curveball that I didn't expect. The large pickle slices were definitely one of the decisions I didn't expect them to commit to, but the taste wasn't ruined. The chicken fillet itself had a sweet undertone that I've never had before, and the brioche bun was standard for most chicken sandwich establishments. I did notice that the chicken fillet was a bit difficult to bite through, which was a shame. Tempura Chicken Nuggets: I don't usually order nuggets, nor will people catch me ordering nuggets as long as there are more..... "adult" options. However, this place will be my constant exception. I'm not sure how different their batter is from a normal nugget batter, but I really enjoyed it. It's the right amount of saltiness and very easy to eat. $5 for a 12-piece feels worth it.
