We had a great time at Dave's Hot Chicken. We came to try the new mozz sticks in the different flavors. We got mild, medium, and hot flavors. All of them were tasty and the hot flavor had a kick. We also tried the loaded fries and chicken tenders. All were great! Our favorite thing we got was the fruity pebbles shake. It was sooooo good! The location is right off the freeway. I haven't been to a DHC since moving to the IE but I'm SO glad we went for dinner last night. The restaurant was so bright, clean, and the staff was very friendly. Ordering was super easy on the kiosk and the employees still asked if we needed help and were really nice. We got some sliders, a tender, fries, some saucy bites, and an Oreo shake. Everything was delicious! We brought our pups to do some training and tried to sit outside on the patio (which was very clean btw) but then decided we felt bad because we didn't get anything for them so we took our meal home. The tenders, same on spice level but what we didn't care for was the texture of the coating. The actual chicken was moist and tender but the spice counting is sandy. Did not care for it. Ordered cheese on the fries, it was$1.50 extra and they barely drizzled any. Not worth the price bump. Server kindly haves us a small side of cheese when we brought the issue to his attention. Took my family here on Halloween, we were hungry and wanted to try a new Nashville spicey sliders. We got the $65 box with 10 sliders, it does not include ANY Sauces, no ranch, no dipping sauce of any kind. You gotta pay extra for that. We also got the family fries because the $65 box doesn't include any. We order them to dine in, as we've seen to go orders restaurants usually cheap out. We waited for our food and the lady ended up packing it to go, I told her we had said to dine in, she said she "oh sorry". Whatever we just took everything out of the bag and just sat on a table and ate. The sliders were good but they cheaped out on the sauce, no ranch or any sort of dipping sauce included, no napkins either. The fries were half way full, $12 family fries the size to feed only two people. We tried the reaper, even if you like spicey I don't recommend getting it, it'd just the spiciest thing you ever tasted and you will have a stomach ache, and you won't be able to taste any flavor in it. The place is nice and colorful, but overpriced and they go cheap on you, I spent about $100 and they refused to offer dipping sauces. I had to pay another $5 for ranch. When I got there, It was quite busy with lots of cramped employees working in the kitchen. There were lots of to go order , DoorDash, and etc. I purchased to go meal through the kiosk as the line was too long. Ordered Light mild chicken slider with mac and cheese Medium spice tender bites and side of fries. I wanted to join the loyalty program so I asked the employee on how to add the bar code into the apps as it is not allowing me to scan the barcode. It kept saying I am too far away. I've been a longtime customer of the West Covina location ever since they opened. I can safely say the quality and size of the food at the new location hasn't been sacrificed. The tenders are just as delicious, succulent, hot as effing hell as always. If anything, the tenders were just a bit larger here. The fries with the Cajun seasoning were just as perfect a side as ever as well. I also thought the location was a bit nicer. It always bugged me how tight the parking was at the other location and just how crowded it was at all hours. This new one seems to be bigger, the tables more well-spaced, and they even have a patio for overflow. West Covina never had a patio for such emergencies. I think Dave's Hot is a fast rising fast casual chain. It's nice to see that they're improving their ambience with each new spot without sacrificing any of the quality that made their food rock even while it's reducing you to flop sweat and tears because of the heat. read more

What we loved the most was the chicken quality was great all white meat, tender inside & crispy on outside. Plus they make it fresh to order, literally was steaming hot, so hot we had wait a bit before biting into it. Also the size of the tenders are huge!
