I went for the Chicken Fried Steak special yesterday. I sat in the adjacent room, because I wanted to read my magazine and the noise level was less in the other room. The CFS was so-so. I took the biscuit back to the counter because it tasted doughy, like it wasn't cooked completely and she gave me a another biscuit, but it too tasted pasty. I did mention it to the Manager before leaving and he explained to me that they put the warm biscuit in butter after baking and he would check out the problem. I commended him on handling a situation with a transient who came in. I only heard part of the conversation, as his voice is loud. and the Manager handled the situation professionally and the transient said some nasty words to him, but he didn't react. His employees's must feel safe to know he will be there to handle any situation. read more

Santos has an incredibly hard job. The first friendly voice you hear over the drive through intercom. I made a kfc app order earlier in the morning and for some reason it came through on their end as still processing the payment. He came outside in the drive through and calmly and professionally explained there was some kind of glitch. Sure enough the order got cancelled in the app and I was able to reorder and everything was fine. I came inside and Santos was very welcoming and accommodating. Made me feel right at home. I placed another order I was so impressed with his professional and kind demeanor deportment and personable service. He gets high marks from me ! Balancing problems with technology that he has nothing to do with, placating drive through customers , dealing with requests at the register and looking fly while doing all of this. Santos is an asset to your company. I saw another associate Olivia help an elderly customer back to his seat. She was patient while he pushed his rollator walker to his booth and she carried his drink for him. It was so touching and moving and gracious ! read more

Our local KFC has a Bingo evening between 5-7pm on non holiday Thursdays. Last week I won a Free 2 piece meal and tonight, I attempted to redeem the coupon and eat my meal as I played Bingo. I was told they do not redeem these coupons on Thursdays. If this coupon,is not redeemable on Thursdays, why does it not state this, on the coupon. Why, could I NOT get 2 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes and a biscuit on a night they are hosting a bingo game? I believe that I was lied to and denied the meal, for personal reasons and I demand fair compensation for this mistreatment. This two star review is based on not the quality nor the taste of the food but the overall management of this restaurant. As far as food is concerned it's just like any other KFC, they get there food shipped and already prepared solely to be warmed up or fried and served to their customers. Flavoring and presentation is fast food basic. The location gets a low rating for the lack of cleanliness, whether it be in the lobby area or the kitchen. Trash can be spotted as soon as you enter accompanied by dirty tables. The restaurant needs a facelift but if you look closer you can tell it's more than just a paint job or new decor this location needs. Window ledges dusty, soda machine has excess staining from the soda and kids high chairs are old and stained. Try to avoid this location but if you must come don't eat in. This is an update review from a couple months ago. Again, service was spot on, 5 stars for that. The chicken was moist but not greasy, a major improvement over my last visit, keep up the good work. Coming home from San Diego I always drop in here for my chicken fix. My favorite is the extra crispy chicken with a side of mashed potato and that delicious gravy on top. Accompanied with a side of that delicious cole slaw..makes for a great meal at an unbeatable price too. Niw occasionally I will opt fir the chicken pot pie. I just love that crunchy topping. I came to this location through the drive-thru yesterday. Upon arriving i noticed about 4 cars ahead of me, i decided to wait. Finally it was my turn to order at the microphone. I waited for a few minutes to be acknowledged. I even spoke "hello, hello" with no response. I assumed that the speaker was broken and perhaps that was also the reason for the line of cars ahead of me. I get to the window and was prepared to give my order to the cashier Olivia. She refused to take my order claiming that I didn't stop at the microphone. A few problems with this... 1. I did stop at the microphone, why would I not? 2. There are people in this world that have hearing/speaking disabilities. You mean to tell me that you wont serve them through the drive thru due to that? 3. There is a posted sign on the microphone pillar that states if you have a communication barrier to drive to the window for assistance! So, is Olivia discriminating against all people with hearing/speaking disabilities? Then to make matters worse, she gets another cashier to tell me that they are refusing to take my order "Maura". Still to this second, why was there a refusal to take my order? Hmm!?!? Finally, a lady with blonde hair took my order. I don't understand why it wouldn't be common sense to take an order, the assumption from the cashier should be that theres a reason why i couldn't place an order at the microphone. Ridiculous! I had seen the kfc buffet sign a couple of years and was intrigued and put it in the bucket list. Decided to stop by on our way to Idyllwild and check it out. As per reviews, you need to ask the staff for updated items as they have to handle all the regular orders also. They were obliging so no problem. For the price it's definitely decent. As well as Chicken, there were the favs - Coleslaw, Mashed Potato, Mac and Cheese and Biscuits. There were basic Salad items and Mexican items. Don't need to revisit but glad I tried it. read more

First, I stopped by the KFC on Florida, close to Sanderson; the one next to El Pollo Loco and across the street from Pioneer. My son likes a certain $5 Fill up that has chicken strips. I don't know the numbers of the items since I don't go there very often, so I described it to the person on the other end of the speaker box. She asked me which number it was. I started to tell her I couldn't find it and she cut me off to tell me she had to help another customer. I waited. She came back and asked if I had figured out what I wanted. I told her again the type of meal, but couldn't find it on the menu board (very disorganized) to give her a number. She told me to wait again so she could help another customer. When she came back, same attitude. Do you know what you want yet? I again tried to explain, but got cut off again by her saying she had to help someone else, in an exasperated tone. I had had enough. So I drove around and told her she needed to check her attitude dealing with customers. She yelled something at me and closed the window. So...I pulled around and parked to go inside. I went in to ask for the manager and found out she is the manager. So I told her I needed the corporate number and her name. She ignored me. A young man offered to give it to me... yes...he was driving a bus at that moment...... but she said something to him in Spanish and he left, never to be seen again. I eventually got the number from the manager and called their corporate office to complain. Now the good part.... I ended up going to Jack-in-the-box on Sanderson/Esplanade instead. The drive through window clerk was friendly and everything seemed pleasant: however, when I got back to the house, I realized I didn't get the taco sauce I had asked for. So, I called on my way back to get the sauce. The manager, Jennifer I think, said they'd just make me four new ones, since they were probably cold. When I got there, they made them and she even gave me a large soda cup to get a soda for my trouble. She even remembered me from the last time because I was wearing a Veterans Suicide Prevention t-shirt the previous time and she had asked if I was in the military. I am a Lt COL in the Air Force and I remembered her son is also in the Air Force. Overall, it was a really good experience. Such a big difference in customer service. And this is not the first time I have had a bad experience at this same KFC. You'd think that with 2 other chicken restaurants within 50 yards, they'd want to treat you better as a customer, because honestly, I'd rather go to either if the other 2 restaurants. read more

We do not eat here regularly because of the price. We ate here today because the we got free kids meals from the local library kids program. The kids meals were 1 chicken strip (dark meat) or mini boneless "nuggets" or a drumstick. It comes with a side a capri sun (crap) drink and applesauce. Not worth the $5 it would have cost. I ordered a value menu honey bbq sandwich which was $2.49. I took a picture of it because I wouldn't believe how bad it was if I was reading this. I laughed when I spit out a large piece of chicken because I couldn't bite through it, I closed the box and it says "FRESHLY PREPARED". Freshly prepared maybe yesterday. Came here about 8 pm on a weekend coming from lake elsinore to headed to the Casinos..I waited 18 minutes in the drive thru and only one car in front of me..uhh who is the manager of this place..geez..get it together..I literally will be typing a letter to corporate.
