We decided to eat in while visiting Lewiston. Our first choice for lunch was unexpectedly closed, and we wanted something fast so we tried KFC. Mistake. The people behind the counter very nice. The sitting area though was gross. Soda all over the soda covers at the self serve drink fountain. Trash was full and falling out. Tables were very old and warm down so was hard to tell if they were dirty or aged. FYI-dirty. Chicken tenders were good. Chicken sandwich was fine-couldn't tell if spice was in the sauce or in the chicken. The nuggets were terrible. Don't waste the money. Food is as fine, atmosphere was terrible. No napkins. I went to this KFC on Lisbon St., in Lewiston thinking it would be better than the Auburn one. Guess what!! Same crap. The coating on the chicken isn't cooked properly. The drumstick looked like it had been sitting there for a week, it was all dried out. I picked French fries because their mashed potatoes are instant. The fries were cold and hard. This is a KFC / Taco Bell combo. Maybe they concentrate on the KFC side of the business because the Taco Bell order was slow and not well prepared. Went thru the drive thru on 12/3 and ordered a 6 piece chicken strip and a bottle of water. The price on the drive thru signage was $7.99 when I got to the window the total was over $15 dollars. I asked the drive thru attendant how my bill was so high she stated the 6 piece chicken strip meal went up to $11.99. I told her but your signage says $7.99 and got no response. It was very busy with a line around the building so I just paid so that I would not hold all these other people up and decided I would just go online and make a complaint. Did that and guess what the company did not even bother to comment back. Will never go there again. Its not that I could not afford this but a $4 increase from what it shows is not acceptable. Seems like every time we get take out its always wrong. The last time my hubby went to get us a 2 pc.meal with a breast and thigh he got it home and it was a breast and wing. He called to let the girl know they messed up, she asked if he wanted to drive all the way back to get what he ordered and he said no its too far. She offered to send coupons to cover our meals which he accepted.. over 2 weeks later still NO coupons!! this is the 3rd time this has happened to us. Middle of the road. Dining room is very small and cramped. Cashier was rude to other customers although she was good about telling people how to run their cards. Lunch hour rush was very busy and while I got my order fast, others were left waiting. Overall, it's still a KFC/TB and the food is all the same, so if that's what you're looking for, go for it! read more

Very old and outdated facility. I would think an investment in a better more modern facility would pay dividends for them. Then again, this place probably paid for itself by the late 70's so why not keep it going. And it is fun, in a sadistic sort of way to watch customers pull those front doors open. They are heavy and even people of strength struggle here. While the open area that food is made looks dirty, I don't think it is. It is probably more due to the age of the equipment used. And the employees don't look very presentable, either. . But overall the food tastes good and is what is expected. read more
