Love the Olive Garden in Auburn Maine.. Hats off to the management for hiring and training people who care! First.. it's beautiful and confortable.. Second.. very pleasant welcome .. gracious .. Third.. the service is outstanding.. our server, Blake, was helpful and considerate.. Fourth.. the Italian Margarita ( with the add on of Amaretto) is my new favorite cocktail.. and Fifth..the meal was perfect.. We ordered our favorite minestrone soup , breadsticks with Alfredo sauce and house salad. plus appetizers.In this case the appetizer was fried lasagne topped with meat sauce --a great treat. On a sleepy Monday afternoon my folks and I came in for soup, salad and breadsticks. Parking lot was clean and there were spaces near to the door. After a brief wait at the hostess station we were escorted to our table and provided physical menus. Upon the table was an interactive device displaying a digital menu, a "pay" option and games (ex. Tic tac toe, car racing) - games I saw were $2.99. Our waitress Taylor was so friendly and welcoming. Our salad came out quick and was absolutely delicious. If you have a family member who's not so into onions just ask that your salad not have it. Same with dressing - get it on the side so you can go light or soupy. The breadsticks were delayed tho super yummy upon arrival. We nearly finished two baskets. Our soups were hot and looked amazing. Mom and I went for pasta Fagioli and my dad went for the Zuppa. It was a peaceful lunch and our server took fantastic care of us. We will definitely ask for her the next time we are in. read more

Everytime I have ordered online I have asked for just oil and butter in my pasta with requesting oil and butter and I get dry pasta which is gross to eat and to have to pay 20 for pasta it would be nice if it was made right read more

Went yesterday it was a different bartender this time and they were also awesome! Attentive to the other guests. Pleasant, welcoming, balance of time between guests and making tickets. Paid attention to needs, multitasking, cool calm collected personable, understanding. I had the dinner portion of Chicken Fettuccini Alfredo, zuppa toscana, and breadsticks. It was a lot so I needed a to go box the ladies next to me asked if I wanted some of their butter for my breadsticks but I dip mine into the soup or a side of Alfredo. The restaurant was very clean including the bathrooms, the music is always pleasant and fitting for the time of day. They do a really good job at this Olive Garden. We went on a Saturday at 4pm. It wasn't busy. We waited awhile for service. We were in the back. We had Shrimp Scampi. The spaghetti was clumped. The dish had no sauce what so ever, No flavor. We sent it back to get a LITTLE more sauce. What came back was drenched with sauce. Shame on you Olive Garden. Just Italian Fast Food. read more

We have ordered twice here "to go". The first time was ok. Second time was a mistake and I will not be back, ever. Half the food was good, like the tray of sausages and the soup, but the rest was gross as it seemed like it had been sitting for awhile and since I ordered 2 hours in advance, Im pretty sure that's what happened. My daughter didn't even eat hers and she loves alfredo. My problem is that the food is so expensive (one meal for a family easily runs over $100) that when it sucks, it not only sucks but now Im $150 poorer. For what? Shitty food? I just feel ripped off. At IHOP, I can get a tray of burgers or sandwiches and fries plus fixins for $35. That's what I will do next time and save $100. read more

Other than the bevy of hoodlums and terrorists that met my husband at the door, which he single handedly fought off so that the rest of us could sip our cocktails, and the roof starting to cave in, which forced him to leap into action and reconstruct the entire thing, the service was excellent the food was delicious. Sadly I must now endure an entire evening of my husband complaining how nobody gives him enough credit. But other than all that, five stars. Just had a pretty awkward experience honestly at the auburn Olive Garden, waitress forgot to put utensils, poured water over my sprite after she forgot I had sprite in my cup and then continued to pour only water on it. Poured cheese all over the all over the table and on my friends lap. Chicken gnocchi soup was like water, even forgot to even refill my "water". Co worker even stood on the table that was empty behind us, don't think it was cleaned after either. read more

I've gone here multiple times now. I've sat inside, and also got take out. Every single time I order the Chicken Gnocchi soup, there is no Gnocchi and it's watery. I ordered the tour of Italy and my food was cold after waiting an extra 20 minutes for our food. There should've been no reason our food was cold. We know this is a new restaurant but teething problems should be sorted by now. Last 2 times we were in here one of our party of 7 waited 25 minutes to get a beer ! By the time one of the starters came out we were all starting on our main meal. Not the waitress fault but poor managing and lack of bar staff. Another visit after that the chicken gnocchi soup was like water and not creamy at all and there was no tomato in the salad bowl! Definitely Augusta restaurant is worth the extra travel! read more

Went there with my mom for lunch. Worst mistake ever. The service was fantastic but the food was terrible from stale nasty tasting salad, hard as wood bread sticks, pasta so under cooked, we wondered if it was cooked at all. The zuppa soup was so thin with 1/2 the kale still whole. The breaded ravioli could break teeth. Olive Garden use to be my go to place, but not now. read more

Arrived at 3;00 PM, must have been a shift change as there were lots of empty tables but had to wait to be seated. Next took too long to get a drink order. Then I asked about smaller portions, I was told I could order the lunch specials of half an order. Placed our order and it came fast BUT the order was wrong and we hadn't gotten our salad and breadsticks. My friend's order was right but I had to wait a while for mine to be corrected. The salad came BUT we requested dressing on the side. NO, had to wait for this to be corrected. We did not get salad plates, so I was given my salad in a large serving bowl to eat. The salad could have been maybe the vegetables cut smaller and the lettuce was ok. I believe they need to get the act together, I know it's just opened but we are in no rush to return. Also, the bill was wrong and we had to deal with that. Not sure if it was the server's issue or the back of the house. The food was not great, my friend ordered the meat sauce, you be hard to find much meat. now mine was the smaller portion of spaghetti with 2 meatballs. Wow. Not going back there. Just had a supposed "manager" chew out and curse at an employee in front of me and n my family. Not professional at all. I have a couple of teenagers looking for jobs this summer and they most certainly aren't going there. This started out as a horrible experience. First off, we waited and hour and a 1/2 to be seated And we were completely fine with it because we understand they are a newly opened restaurant. When we were finally seated, everyone around us had waitresses all around them, bringing them food and doing a good job. After about 45 minutes of nobody coming over to talk to us, we flagged down another waitress & asked her how long the wait would be to get some drinks and breadsticks started. The ladies name was *JEN* She took us under her wing even though she wasn't even our waitress. She treated our kids with respect and was trying to keep them occupied even though it had been so long already. The waitress we had that we were waiting on had only come to our table once to ask us what we wanted and never came back. After Jen got involved and apologized perfusely for us having to wait for so long just to get anything started, everything sped up from there. She took charge and had us our food within 5 minutes. She also went and spoke to the manager of some sort and told her what had happened. They apologized and turned our experience into a wonderful one and did what no manager has ever done by fixing the issue immediately and treated us like family, made sure everything was okay at the end & couldn't say sorry enough. I understand every waitress has their bad days and that's completely okay I worked in the industry before, But what is an OK is when they treat? You disrespectfully and completely ignore what you're trying to say to them and act like it's a chore for them to even talk to you. If you hate your job, that bad, don't even work there. There are plenty other jobs out there. Where you don't have to be around people all the time.
