My youngest took one bite and was shocked because his piece was spicy. My husband, who regularly eats very spicy foods like General Tso's chicken, actually had to peel the skin off his chicken because it was so hot. That's simply unacceptable when a customer orders non-spicy. The "Cajun Rice" was another huge letdown. I don't know what happened to the recipe, but this is not Cajun Rice as longtime Popeyes customers remember it. It lacked the flavor that made it a favorite for decades. The chicken itself was just as disappointing. The skin wasn't crispy--it was hard. Several pieces looked like they had been fried twice. The coating was dry, overly dark, and unpleasant to eat. The one bright spot was a young woman working there who was incredibly polite, friendly, and courteous. She provided excellent customer service, and I don't blame the employees. They appear to be doing the best they can with what they're given. The responsibility falls on management. They need to step up and bring this restaurant back to the standards the Popeyes name is supposed to represent. As someone who has enjoyed Popeyes for over four decades, this location should be embarrassed by the quality of food they are serving. We drove nearly two hours for medical appointments and thought stopping here would be a nice change. Instead, it was one of the most disappointing fast-food meals we've had in a long time. Sadly, after this experience, I don't expect we'll be making the trip back.

A regular sandwich was more than enough for me as they don't skimp on the meats. Unlike some food chains they put more meat the bread which is the way I like it. All the veggies tasted fresh and not like they been sitting there for a while. I love their sandwich, their approach to making it and the quality of ingredients they use. I actually prefer them over Subway. Subway is more bread less meat, Jersey Mikes is more meat less bread. I will definitely come back here again anytime I pass thru. It's worth the wait.

The times I have gone thru the drive thru have been an average experience. There was nothing that ever stood out from a customer service perspective or a change in the quality of the food from when I ordered from inside. I personally have no encountered anyone in drive thru as being rude, but they just move you along like you are just another customer and not one that is appreciate for choosing their location for your breakfast, lunch or dinner needs. The times I have walked inside to order food to go, you can tell its a very young crew and most of them look like they are in high school. They all seem to work hard, but it also seems like they are always ordering food for themselves and getting served before customers who have ordered and are waiting. Personally, if you are an employee and have ordered food, you should wait in an area that is not viewable by the public, so it doesn't appear you are getting your food before any of the customers. This location is convenient due to being open 24 hours, but I think they need to work on their appearance and how they interact with each other and the customers to avoid having a customer interpret your actions as being given special treatment because you are an employee.
