The strawberry cake was delicious, and the fries were seasoned perfectly... Unfortunately the taste of food is not the only thing rated for quality. I had a problem with a few things : 1) The actual cooking staff did not wear PPE (face masks) while preparing the food until I mentioned they weren't wearing them (we're in the middle of the COVID19 pandemic). 2) The wait time was ridiculous. We ordered our food via the phone, but it still wasn't ready after traveling the 25 minutes we traveled to get there, because they had apparently given someone else our order by mistake. 3) The woman they had answering the phone for the orders was often distracted. She was nice, but she had messed up our order over the phone. I love supporting black businesses, so I was excited to support this restaurant. I know the owners are natives of the area, which means they have local experience and know what's good in the city ... and to be honest, the food definitely sells itself! It' just the service needs a lot more work, and I hope they get that part of it together. They are definitely worth fighting for!!
