Ordered the pork eggrolls (very good, the sauce that came with it - oddly the perfect amount was given in a little rectangular container - made these delectable) and the General Peony's Chicken. And this was damned good. Pricey for lunch, but I could have made 2 or 3 meals off of it. A satisfying amount of heat from the szcheuan (sp?) peppers; not overly breaded so as to make it a fried dough dish, but rather to carry the sauce on the chicken; the chicken was a quality cut, nicely sized per bite. I wish they had other drink options available other than soft drinks. Technically you can get a bottled tea but it's an up charge. If I lived in the area I could def see me wanting fast food and getting this. It's definitely better quality than food court Chinese food.

Most of the time, I don't get the chance to leave a glowing review, so when I do, it makes me happy. Everything is homemade--not fast-food quality--and you can definitely taste the difference. Every dish was perfectly seasoned, and the meat was so tender. Oh my gosh, if I could eat it again right now, I would! If you go, get the buffet. It's absolutely worth it! Try a little of everything because it's all so good. And whatever you do, don't skip the soup bar or the desserts--they're amazing! Don't let the bad reviews keep you away. However, the customer service needs serious improvement. Recently, I went through the drive-thru and got home to find no ketchup or utensils in my bag. When I called to speak with the manager, I explained that this was the second time I've had issues. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager was combative, told me the GM instructed them not to give ketchup unless asked, and then hung up on me when I asked for their name. Good food doesn't make up for poor service. Hanging up on a customer and dismissing feedback is unacceptable. Guthrie's needs to train staff better because this experience makes me think twice about returning.
