Tonight was the best KFC 3 pc meal we have ever had. The Manager made sure that we had freshly prepared Original Recipe Fried Chicken, after our order showed that there was not enough OR Fried Chicken for it (he asked us first if we would want the Extra Crispy on hand which we declined and said we would wait the extra 3 minutes until it was ready). I spoke to the general manager about the situation about how unprofessional it is to shut all of their fryers off before they close and she was incredibly rude. Hi, I'm pretty dissatisfied after ordering today. We came there and ordered our food as we typically do. The worker at the driver through was giving us pretty good service, and after about 5 minutes of waiting we got our food. The atmosphere was pretty chill. One thing that was pretty annoying was that after we ordered they then said they only took exact cash or card. Recently for the past year that's all they've been taking so we came prepared. In one of the meals we had ordered we specifically asked for chicken legs box and a lemonade. But of course they can't get that meal right, even after reviewing it to us multiple times. So i am giving the 1 star only because Yelp requires at least 1 star. They really deserve the big fat goose egg (in other words ZERO stars). I've probably been to this particular loxation about a half-dozen times and I ask myself each time why I have continued to be a customer when this is THE MOST mismanaged "fast food" restaurant I have ever seen. I genuinely like KFC chicken (extra crispy is the way to go! IMHO) and they have the BEST cole slaw. This location is near home so it should be convenient. However, it is so poorly operated that I should just bite the bullet and go to Kennewick location (which does a little bit better job). Perhaps they should take note and learn from them (just sayin'). Anyway, tonight's event and why it finally caused me to sit down and wrote a review. I get to the drive through at about 5:30 (yes, a very busy time so I am willing to cut them a break) Except, what ended up happening has absolutely nothing to do with how busy they were. As I drive up, there were 2 cars ahead of me and the person ordering literally took 5 minutes to get their order done. They served 2 people while this person was placing their order! The next person (the one just ahead of me)... same thing. They get the previous person out while he was ordering. Another 3 minutes go by. Then it is my turn. I order a number 1, leg and thigh with mashed potatoes and gravy, biscuit and drink. It takes the server at least 2 minutes to figure out if they have extra crispy legs. Then tells me it will be 12 minutes for biscuits. I was okay to skip the biscuit because I thought a leg, thigh and the mashed potatoes would be enough. When I finally get home I have 2 scrawny legs (one bite of meat on each) and no thigh piece. GIVE ME A BREAK! You had to figure out if you have leg pieces and then don't even give me the correct order!!!! THIS PLACE IS THE WORST!!!! Avoid it at all costs. Take the extra 10 minutes and go to the location on Columbia Center. At least I have a better chance of getting the correct order and fairly quickly as you would expect from a "fast food" restaurant. DON'T GO HERE! We've been to this location a dozen times now and every single time I've asked myself why did I even bother-- well this was the very last time ever. Got the three chicken tenders as a meal with the biscuit and fries and when I pulled right out to the parking lot to eat my food with my son, the food was barely WARM. The fries were soggy and cold and my chicken tasted undercooked or old, honestly I couldn't tell but I ate it anyways because I paid for it and I was hungry. Luckily my son only wanted the French fries because the next day was hell. I should've returned it or threw it out because here I am the next day stuck near the toilet from FOOD POISONING. We went through the drive through because they locked the doors at 9pm even though the door says your open until 10. We were then told they couldn't make our entire order due to them not being able to cook chicken. Because all of their fryers were down so they filled our order with chicken they just happen to have sitting under heat lamps or wherever they keep cooked chicken. They asked us to pull up. We needed to add to our order so we tried to go inside. The doors were locked, we knocked on the door they looked at us then ignored us. We then knocked harder and still they looked at us and ignored us. We then pulled around to the drive through window again. They still ignored us. We knocked on the window they looked at us and ignored us again. We then pulled up and waited. When they brought the food (that was sitting around) they said we prolly tried the wrong door. We did not they were all locked and we watched them lock it when they went back in. We asked why they closed the dining area an hour early they said they didn't but would not let us in to add to our order. They told us all of the fryers were down and they couldn't cook chicken. This was hands down the worst experience we have ever had at any fast food place. We won't be coming back. I am also posting this review on the internet public reviews. The people there were rude to the point that I have no idea how they ever got hired there. You should fire the whole night staff. This KFC is the worst. It's close to my house and my kids love popcorn chicken. I have been here at least a half a dozen times and it always takes forever. I don't know why they never have food ready but whenever we go through the drive through we have to pull over and wait. They say 4 1/2 minutes for fresh popcorn chicken and I've been waiting at least 20 minutes. Hey we're kind enough to make our root beer freezes first, but since we've waited for 20 minutes hey are now root beer melts. The staff has been friendly and I'm not sure if it's management but this location is terrible. As I've been waiting literally every car that's been through the drive through has had to come and park to wait for their food. Update: This place still sucks. Went today 9/16 and the drive through was closed due to some IT issue. Whatever, annoying but I went inside. I ordered and, as expected, waited longer than is customary anywhere else. Service was awful. Our order was messed up 3 different times. We were not initially given a receipt, and then when we asked for one to prove our order, the guy told us he would print it. And then instead he said he would just give us the missing combo. Part of our groups food was brought out after 20 mins of being there, and finally we got the rest of the groups food out (after being corrected) an additional 15 mins later. Other people that ordered around the same time as us also waited 20-25 mins to get their food out, people who came into order about the time we were getting our food stood at the counter for 10-15 mins with no one to take their order. Several families turned and left after deciding not to wait anymore. The lobby was also a mess. A lot of tables had food and garbage on them and needed to be clear off by customers before they could be used. When I approached the shift leader about our experience there, and let her know her front counter guy disappeared and they lost business she had a could care less attitude and didn't even offer an apology for our bad experience. When asked for her name and the area manager's phone number she refused both and told us good luck trying to find the information online. Received what we thought was the remaining order, so now that is getting cold. Worst experience ever at this KFC chain. I like KFC but this KFC location has real problems. The restaurant was dirty. Staff is not very friendly and seem to NOT know there jobs very well. The food was over 30 mins getting to us , they ran out of chicken strips and it was a Friday at 4pm. No apology or anything... I had to go back twice to get the corr cut items I ordered. I've tried this spot about several times, I give them chance after chance thinking I thought I was coming at the wrong time of the day but any time of the day these guys are never organized or prepared. I'm not sure how they stay open for business. First of all they are understaffed every time I've eaten here. They only have one cashier, taking people orders, and then they go to back to help other cooks prepare food, while there's a long line of people that are waiting to give there food order. Second of all it takes awhile to get your food. I will not be going here again, I've been to other KFC, and this is the only one that is like this. Absolutely the worst KFC I've ever been too. The food at this one is absolutely awful. I'm not sure what it is because KFC should be universal, but this place seems to break that mold. It is a combo KFC / A&W, which must make the oil taste different because all of the chicken, wings, anything fried tastes like it has been dipped in 3 week old oil or mixed with something very odd.
