We arrived at KFC in Royersford and placed our order at 5:45 pm Sunday 08/16/2026. They seemed very unorganized in the back. We heard them say they were out of chicken though we were not told this directly. Orders for mobile deliveries and drive-through we're getting filled, but those of us that ordered to eat in the restaurant were being ignored. We waited more than half an hour to receive our food finally. When we did finally receive it it was not hot or even warm. The people that ordered BEFORE us still had not received their food when we left at 6:30 PM after eating. The soda fountain was also not working. We have had problems in the past time and again and keep giving this location. One more chance as it's the only one anywhere near us. But we are done with KFC at this point. I pulled into the drive through and the person taking orders was very rude and told me I had to come in to get my order. Cut me off as I was talking and wouldn't let me ask any questions. I go into the store and they do not greet me or say a word, just dirty looks as they throw my food onto the counter. I ordered online about 5 minutes before the time they said my 3pc box would be ready. I waited for my order to appear in the pick up spot but no order appeared. At 6:10 I approached the counter and asked about my order. I had signed into the app as a guest so I wasn't sure if there was a name associated with my order. The drive thru was shut down while we were in line, so we went inside. It took 40 minutes to place and receive an order. Plenty of other patrons in the store had been waiting even longer than us. Other customers had come back in quickly after receiving their food, and had said it was wrong or wasn't made well. They have a big sign that says "no refunds" right in the front on the counter, and I assume that's because everyone would get a refund if they could. The last two times we've been there they literally didn't have fried chicken. You just can't make that up. Before 2018 they were fine. Starting in 2018 the fried chicken was hit or miss on quality. In one bucket there were no breasts, in another it was undercooked. The reason for taking the time to write this is that they've simply stopped trying to even make fried chicken. Fire the district and store managers, just for a chance to fix the location. We will never know if that happened because we are completely finished with this location forever. Growing up as a kid a trip to the "Colonel's" was a treat. Moist tender chicken that truly was finger, licking, good. Sadly 40 years later especially at this location nothing good can be said ! Where to start. The restaurant inside is absolutely filthy, think public restroom at stadium. The help constantly violate health codes by touching their face, nose, hair even handling money without gloves or washing hands! The help are also incredibly rude and have a true I hate working here attitude! Once you get past the deportable filth, poor hygiene, and rudeness,the service is absolutely ridiculously slow especially because some genius made this also a Taco Bell! Several times using the drive thru have waited and waited only to get home to find it's the wrong order or cheated or shorted on items paid for but not in the bag! The chicken often sits for hours until it's old, dried out and disgusting. Don't even think of asking for a new fresh batch because you will told they can't do so until they use up the old! Reviews are correct worst KFC ever. The Assistant Manager George was overwhelmed and irritated. The store was short handed. We were third in line. After taking the order in front of us George said he would be with us when he could. A gentleman walked up nbn to the counter because his order was wrong. Should have left then. He gathered 3 orders. After placing our orderit was another 10 minutes. There wasn't a clean table available. No plastic wear, condiments were down to a few in each bin with nasty debris in the bottoms, no mac and cheese and the place needs a thorough cleaning of both the store and staffing. The KFC in Phoenixville was remodeled into a Taco Bell, they should have turned it into KFC Taco Bell and closed the Royersford location. Will not be giving my money to Royersford. read more
