Lost Planet Brewing. A retired fire station. Stopped in for a couple beers and the jalapeño pierogis. Everything was delish! Enjoyed the hazy IPA and the brown IPA.

Open just over a month in a super cool building is Lost Planet Brewing. This place gets pretty busy from 5pm on Thursdays and Fridays, but we found a hi-top for 2 and our server (Julianne?) was right over to us to get us waters and our drink order. My wife decided on the 6 sample flight ($10) to try the many craft beer offerings flowing. They had 10-12 beers. No dark beers on at the moment, but their seasonal Marzen was very good. They had a couple pilsners, a hazy IPA, a pale ale, grisette, peach sour and a light lager as some of their selections. Their West Coast IPA just kicked. They also had a handful of creative cocktails and a couple options for wine. The printed food menu is limited, but they had at least 4 or 5 more "specials" that they are planning to add to the list full time. It's early. My wife had the smash burger, which was a bit greasy, but very flavorful. I had a brisket cheesesteak which was brisket served thin and loaded. I really enjoyed the sandwich and had half to take home. Served with shoestring fries (did not see any option to sub a salad, etc). Pricing a bit on the higher side IMO ($17-$18 for both menu items). Service was quick and super friendly. The place was sort of loud with tables close together. They have a patio out back that looked to seat another 6-8 tables or so and only one family was sitting out back, even on a very nice night. Not sure if they plan to cover it during the colder months. I hope so! A nice first dining experience. The beers were all above average, especially that Oktoberfest style beer. Recommend!

Wow, not enough superlatives to describe our first venture to Lost Planet. First off, so great to have a brewery that doesn't have 18 IPAs on the draft list. Great variety of beers. Usually don't do flights but we had to tonight, and my wife and I thought every beer was very good/excellent. Top things off with outstanding service, great food and a cool, historic setting and we had a totally enjoyable experience. For a new business, these guys should really be commended for what they've created. Great addition to the area. Can't wait for our next time back.

Regular menu is good, specials are fantastic! Selection and atmosphere are above average. Love that they have local brew like Not Pizza.

It's grilled chicken and the flavor of the grilled chicken over powers any caesar-ness to it. Still very good though. The vibe was great being able to look out the window and watch the downtown. Only complaint were the few gnats/flies that kept bothering us. Such is with any restaurant window seat. I'd sit closer in next time and see if that help. Would come back again

Special Saturday drinks and cheesesteaks with Amigo Dan. Rebel Hill makes its own beer cheese. I asked the nice bartender if they would make me a cheesesteak with the beer cheese, and he said yes. We got a cheesesteak with fried onions and beer cheese. It came with French Fries. The beer cheese is creamy and adds a ton of flavor to the cheesesteak. I loved my beer. It was named 'Eaten Alive' in honor of 'The Blob.' Great space. Bar, table, and outside seating. You can hear in the video. It can get a little loud inside. The bartender was friendly and helpful. What kept this from being a top-five stop? The roll. It wasn't a bad roll, but this cheesesteak deserves a much better/complementary roll

It's a cool place that I wished I had more time to visit. What drew my interest the number of vegan options that they had on their menu. Vegan Nachos and Vegan Pizzas. There are also some handhelds as well. I was with a group of 35 at another restaurant that did not have vegan options so I called ahead, placed my order and picked it up around 6:30 pm. At that time, there was a good sized crowd inside and everyone seemed to be having a great time. I paid for my vegan pizza, and then without drawing too much attention to myself, walked into the restaurant and went to the second floor that was reserved for us. My pizza was excellent. The Vegan Blanco Vegan Mozzarella, Tofu Ricotta, Sauteed Spinach, EVOO, Garlic I haven't had pizza in about 3 months so i was definitely looking forward to it. I really enjoyed how they did the Tofu Ricotta the Vegan Mozzarella. My only critique is this - When working with vegan cheese - especially shredded, let it sit at room temperature before popping it in the oven. By doing this, you avoid the 'matchstick' look on the pizza. What happens is that the vegan cheese going from cold to hot is too extreme so it doesn't melt, or spread out - it essentially cooks / burns in place. Having worked with vegan cheese companies over the years, there is a misconception that it is bad to leave the vegan cheese outside on the countertop - not really, it's not cheese. I devoured my pizza and appreciated having a vegan option besides fries and a veggie medley.

We split chicken nachos, I ordered the Impossible burger with a Cesar salad, and husband ordered the bbq brisket Mac and cheese. The good: portion sizes were massive. We both took home enough food to be an additional meal. Salad was also very fresh. Unfortunately the chicken and brisket were very dry. Mac and cheese was super oily, like sitting in a bowl of oil. Service was also very slow. I would come back for a drink on the patio, but probably skip anymore food.

The food is still very good, but the past three visits service was very slow for us and it has taken almost an hour to get our food. Our appetizers and meals have come out at the same time. What really jarred us was what occurred on our most recent visit a few weeks ago. During this visit our server/bartender gave me a second cocktail with an orange slice that someone had taken a bite out of (and it was not me ). So, he had clearly dumped someone else's older drink contents into another glass and gave it to me with the Old Fashioned mixture or he bit the orange himself. I was halfway through my drink when I finally noticed or I would have said something right away. Yikes!

They wear masks, follow social distancing guidelines, and always offer snack items - I like that Rebel Hill follows the rules. Their beers are solid. They recently released a bitter called Cross Keys. It's probably the best bitter I've ever had. They're going to cask it soon, much to the excitement of my boyfriend. Rebel Hill is one of the few breweries we've come across offering cask during COVID. I've tasted pretty much every beer on their menu, from pilsner to sour to stout, and they're always well-made and delicious. They also offer 5oz. pours if you want to try a few different things. Prices are competitive, about $6-7/pint. There is plenty of parking, and the brewery is accessible for everyone. Rebel Hill also has a plethora of outdoor seating if you're feeling the need for extra sunshine, and there are two TVs inside, typically broadcasting whatever Philly sport is playing. If you're looking for food, look elsewhere. Rebel Hill is simply complying with Tom Wolfe rules, but they do have a banging pizza pop-up on Fridays! I always look forward to stopping at Rebel Hill.

All well executed if not necessarily my speed. It seems to me every brewpub in this part of the country caters to the IPA crowd. My favs here were Mutt and Perfectly Imperfect. A bit less hoppy than the others with a more complex character. To be fair the saison is not hoppy but I'm not that big a dad on fan.
