IMHO On Wednesdays, KFC offers a homestyle Country Fried Steak, 2 sides and a biscuit for $4.99!!! So of course I made a beeline there for a take-out lunch. This particular KFC looks like it was recently remodeled. It looked brightly lit and clean, and one table even had a disinfectant bottle left on it! LOL After five minutes, I got my take-out bag (which felt a little light in weight) and headed home. I was surprised that there were no utensils or napkins in the bag, but in hindsight from one of the pictures I took of the beverage filling station, there was a sign that stated, "Effective June 1, 2022, California prohibits restaurants from providing single-use food items unless specifically requested by customers." This applies to utensils, straws and condiments. Well, I learned something new today. Thankfully I was eating at home and could provide all of that, but if I had been eating in my car, it would've been very messy to eat without utensils and napkins! At first sight, my country fried steak meal looked great, except for one thing. In my opinion, country fried steak should be smothered with gravy. However, the majority of my "steak" was minimally covered and what gravy was there had to be shared with my scoop of mashed potatoes. Regardless, this was a delicious meal, but it would've been perfect if I had more gravy!!! Will I return? You bet!!! This is a great bang-for-your-buck deal if you love KFC!!! KFC on Aborn Rd in San Jose is a solid, reliable spot for a quick bite. They remodeled this location several years ago, and it is now pretty nice, spacious, and bright inside. Our order was an8 piece bucket and 2 sides. Great value at $25 nowadays, and the food seems to be made fresh. I always get extra crispy because the regular recipe is too greasy and soggy for me. At the end of the day, it's KFC, and you know what you're getting. Service is good and the staff is efficient. They try to steal your money. I went in and bought some food and handed the guy a $20 bill and I was supposed to get $13 and some change back. He kept distracting me by telling me to buy some cookies and cakes. Then he handed me three dollars and some change back. I said hey I gave you a $20 bill. Then he said oh yeah, ok. He opened up the register and handed me a $10 bill. Then he didn't give me a receipt. I was wondering why so I asked him for a receipt. Now this is a Hispanic guy who helped me, but the receipt says JUANG was the cashier. So I don't know if they are using someone else's log in ID or perhaps they're not supposed to be legally working there. I told my mom what happened to me and she said something weird happened to her too. She said that she went and bought a meal for herself and she put her debit card in there and when she got home, she looked at her receipt, she was charged $26. So count your change, check your receipts and pay attention when you go here, because they're stealing from their customers. Probably won't go back here again. This is probably my favorite KFC location in San Jose. The restaurant is very well kept and very clean. There is plenty of parking, clean bathrooms and staff is friendly as well. The food at this location seems to be more piping hot and fresh than the other locations nearby. My go to order is the chicken pot pie with sometimes the fries or a 2 piece original. The pot pie is hot, flaky crust and is not dry like other locations. The fried chicken is also hot and lightly crispy and not as salty as the other locations. I also ask for a side of gravy to dip the chicken in. They have a lot of specials at this location and wished there was a better way to remember or see the daily specials (which are sometimes changing). I asked the cashier if he recommended one of the seasonal chicken sandwiches, he said he didn't know cause he never tried it, at least he was being honest. This location is definitely one of the better KFC restaurants in the area. The lobby has plenty of seating and is usually fairly clean and more often than not; you will see an employee wiping down a table or booth in order to keep things sanitized. Their customer service is pretty good, they are always friendly and no matter how busy they get, they always maintain composure and keep the lines moving. My only real issue with this location is the fact that the employees don't always read the order slips correctly and there is a high possibility of you receiving incorrect items in your bags. read more

1. Service - definitely 5 stars. The lady who I believe is the manager rocks. Professional, nice and overall, a delight to chat with. Very communicative too. Our fries weren't ready and she told us that they were just waiting on the fries and my family and I get freshly cooked fries. Food was quick overall. 2. Food - it's KFC. Not some Gordon Ramsey fried chicken joint. Thankfully this KFC chicken and dishes weren't as salty as others I've been to in the past. Got the 8 piece meal, crispy chicken and it was good. 3. Cleanliness - place is clean which made it comfortable. Soda machine buttons wasn't sticky like most places, even though I was just getting water. The booths and table were clean with no bread or chicken crumbs. I've been to the KFC off of King and Tully before and would say, avoid that place. I'd take the extra time to come here versus that area and place. The main reason is due to all of the above but the service is what other KFC's and fast food joints should set their bar too. read more

There were 5 people working in the back and all seems to be standing around. Fountain drink machine had no ice and no one bothered to put up a sign. Don't get me started on the size of their chicken. The quality of service here is POOR. Every time I come in, I always get the same guy with the acne on his face, a tattoo on one of his forearms, and pretty b*tch eyebrows.
