My family came to order a big family meal,August 15-2026/Saturday. Time: 7:00 p.m. The young man who took the order couldn't get the macaroni for the meal side as,he told my family you can only get two sides of macaroni and not three". Then he said that will take 45,minutes to make the macaroni the third one". Then as my family came to pay at the drive in? He has an attitude and looks at my family(like what the F U LOOK). My family was upset because they were trying to order and the young man who took the order had a nasty attitude towards my family. Then another one of my family members came through after my other family left". The person at the drive through said there is no fresh chicken and it will be 45,minutes to make some chicken ". Maybe 3.5. I love how there is A&W with this location, so I can get my favorite root beer along with my KFC. It's a typical KFC, I'm not going to cheer about the service, which wasn't bad, but it's a fairly normal experience. The quality of the food was good and I'm glad that KFC still does chicken right and hasn't deviated from what made them successful. The interior is standard KFC/A&W restaurant feel. There's enough room for everyone but I've never seen it full, I don't think KFCs get that much traffic and most orders are probably take home, which is the nature of fried chicken customers, I think. Can't argue with having the A&W menu as well, which is a definite bonus because A&W has some of the best fast food around. I am not enamored with their chicken sandwich, however. It is disappointingly bland. Chick-fil-A has nothing to worry about. I will give KFC credit though because they advertise it as "being available on Sundays," a jab at Chick-fil-A not being open on Sundays, so that's hilarious. Gotta have the Colonel's mash potatoes and gravy and coleslaw. With an A&W root beer. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Normally we love KFC but the one in Sandy on 9400 South is subpar at best. Our last 3 visits have been less that satisfactory. Normally we order the 12 piece Bucket, original recipe, 2 sides of coleslaw and one of mashed potatoes and gravy. First visit....... Chicken was not throughly cooked. My wife had to put it in the oven for 35 minutes before we could eat it Second visit..... we pulled up to the drive through and were told they'd only be able to fill the 12 piece bucket if half of the order was crispy as they didn't have enough of the original recipe pieces. Third visit.... We pulled up to order the 12 piece and were told they only had legs and wings unless we wanted to wait 25 minutes. I think if you want KFC, try the one on Highland Drive just north of 7200 South. The Sandy location is regularly a huge disappointment for us. read more

Dear KFC locations in Salt Lake City. Why do you spend vast amounts of money on National Advertising at Prime TV spots that I know are Super Expensive when your stores are so inadequate it's shocking. Tonight my husband set out looking for their new Chicken Nuggets after seeing a National Ad. The first location in Draper were out of them. The second location in Sandy had them. After he got home our order was not even close to what he had ordered. The nuggets had 10 pieces instead of 12. For two separate orders they gave us one roll and two mashed potatoes which was actually fine with me but it seems like they just gave us what they wanted or whatever they had left. I wouldn't even write a review but this happens every time I try to get what I want at KFC. It's no wonder Chick Fil A has taken over the Chicken Nugget world! I hope someone at Headquarters sees this review because you're spending way too much money to not get what you claim you have. You can do better and should do better! read more

DISMAL. After months of cooking at home I was craving some crispy KFC chicken, and I was pretty disappointed tonight. There were two guys not doing much of anything behind the counter - one of them actually hopped up on the counter and was sitting on in full view of the drive through window the entire time I was waiting for my order, the only person who appeared to be working was the lady that took my order and served me at the window. The customer service was sluggish and not very professional. When I got home and opened the box it didn't even look like KFC, instead of the fresh crispy breading I've had in the past, these tenders had a sad soggy coat of thin breading. The pieces of chicken that weren't rubbery were overcooked, I didn't get BBQ sauce as I requested, instead they gave me creamy buffalo and a sweet and tangy sauce. The fries were inedible, cold, soggy, and greasy - like they had been sitting around all day. The biscuit was just ok, but the soda was flat. Waste of money, time, and calories. AWFULly JUICY Details of how patrons are being ripped off at our local Kentucky Fried Chicken. I ordered a Classic Chicken Sandwich through the drive through on 9400 S. 653 E. In Sandy, Utah, Restaurant #S720176 at 5:33pm. The pictures below will show the price that was shown on the drive through menu $4.49+ Tax and the receipt shows the price that I was charged $4.89+ the inaccurate Tax that was charged, even after I shared with the cashier/ manager Christina R. what I had found. Christina mentioned that she could Not do anything about the sandwich charges and then became frustrated that I was asking about these differences from the amount shown on the menu vs. the amount she was charging, along with the tax issue that I caught in the receipt. So the issues is the price that was being charged $4.89 + $0.40 = $5.29. Issue #1 * Drive Thru Menu Price = $4.49 * Tax is 4.85% Issue #2 * At the Window charged = $4.89 * I was taxed $0.40 + $4.89 = $5.29 Taxes for Fast Food Restaurant = 4.85% * The Tax should have been $0.237165 or rounding to nearest penny is $0.24 (If $4.89 was the correct price I should have been charged. The real price should have been $4.49 + 0.217765 ($0.22) = $4.71 total). I was overcharged by $0.58 This is not the only issue from this specific KFC over the years. I've had several pricing issues over the past 5 years. This is the only KFC within about 8 miles. The issues have ramped up over the last 2 years. Before this, it was every 3rd or 4th time, then it became every other time. I should have stopped going to this KFC, but I love the Chicken, so I was prepared this time when I went through the drive thru, hoping there would be no issues. Unfortunately, yet again there are more issues. I plan to contact the Utah State Tax Commission and hand over copies of the receipt and detail my past experiences that I've captured information on over the years. I'm also going to reach out to either KFC General Management if I'm able to get through to them, or to someone in the Utah Fast Food Association to see what I should do. I'd love to have the franchise owner, sell this location to someone that has time to make this business better. Someone that has the time to work with their management, to ensure each day that the price and cost align, in addition to the tax amount being accurate each time my customers pays for their products. read more

With the current situation of lobby's being closed, I would think that any business is better than none. We are a local office of multiple people and for the 3rd time decided to give it another try. We have been there on multiple occasions with several orders and only once have they accommodated. We go out to lunch every day and we are VERY organized when ordering/paying. I'm not asking for sympathy, but our KFC is horribly understaffed all the time!! There's two wonderful managers that work 50-60 hour weeks, and about 8 employees under them. Most of them are young kids that don't respect their job and call in constantly! When there's two people trying to take care of 10-15 orders at once, it's kind of f***ing hard! We mess up!
