For those that want some simple review: This place is good, its got a unique take on chicken. I got the classic wrap with half grilled and half fried chicken. I was impressed, would recommend the fried as it was by far better. That's to say that it was perfectly fine to sit in and I didn't have any problem with it, besides that it was an old building. As for the chicken, they have plenty of options for you to choose from, for a chicken restaurant, you could have it in tenders, sandwiches, wraps, salads, or wings. The loaded fries were highly recommended by my friends but I will say I did not feel like destroying my stomach that day. In of its self, I would say that the wrap was pretty tasty, the chicken was well made and the sauce was as good as I could've hoped. The fries were also on point and wrapped up a good meal, would I say that this is the best food in the area? Ordered a Po Boy - fried chicken sandwich (pickles, lettuce, tomato) with a sauce of your choice. I chose the honey-mustard. I really like the bread. It's similar to a potatoes bun and really soft. The chicken was good. One thing I really like about this chicken is the batter wasn't so thick that you feel nauseous afterward after because of all the grease and oil. The crinkle-cut fries were good too. The Mac and cheese was okay. Ours didn't have tons of flavor. Next time I'll try the chicken n waffles. read more

Came on a Fridays evening. Did drive thru, sorry forgot to get pic of menu. Service was friendly despite them being busy and the guy taking drive thru orders was also doing pick up orders inside. But still super nice! Ordered poboy comes with two chicken tenders lettuce pickles (tomatoes I removed mine) and sauce one drizzle and one on side. - I enjoyed it. Chicken was good it didn't feel heavy at all, pickle was also really good. Crinkle cut fries good nice seasoning Mac n cheese lacked flavor for me. Needs seasoning or cheese. I thought this place was okay especially their wings. There wasn't much flavor to them and they came out a bit cold. The best thing was probably the fries which were not as amazing as I thought it would be. It took a little for us to receive our order but it was pretty busy but they still came out a little cold. At the time the worker had gotten someone's order confused and so it was a little awkward in there. I don't think I will be going back. read more

The chicken tenders or the fingers or the tenderloin whatever you wanna call it they're much larger than canes and the Service. This is good but I don't go there for the service. I wonder if I came on a bad night, because everyone else's review of Mr. Charlies' is really good and my experience was just so-so. The service was terrific; the nice young man at the counter took our order and even recommended half grilled and half fried when we couldn't decide. (Great suggestion, best of both worlds!) However, the chicken itself was just ok. I ate the grilled and my wife had the fried. Perhaps it was because it was the end of the night and we got some older stuff, but it was not stellar. I'm not ready to write them off altogether, but it might be awhile before I want to hurry back and try again. read more

Who doesn't love a good chicken finger meal? Stopped by for an early dinner and it wasn't very busy. We went through the drive thru which took a little bit of time but was super convenient. I tried The Snack (3 tenders, fries, toast, and 1 sauce). I also added sauce and ended up trying their honey mustard, Charlie sauce, and fry sauce. I got classic fried tenders but I did think it was cool they have a grilled option as well, I may have to try that in the future. The sauces were good but the Charlie sauce was my favorite. To me it seemed similarly to chic fil a sauce, I was a big fan. I'll echo others who have said the chicken style is very similar to canes. The toast and fries were solid, but average. The chicken and sauce is definitely the star of the show. While I'm not sure if it fully beats canes I did think it was very good and I liked that they have a variety of sauces to choose from. Finally, a place that serves great southern food without cutting corners and quality in the name of cost or pseudo-southern recipes! It's a little hard to see from the road so look for Bahama Buck's -- it shares a parking lot with it. The Nashville chicken fingers are deliciously sweet and hot while maintaining a juicy chicken inside (cage/antibiotic/hormone free). They are not over-breaded nor are they dry. The heat is complimentary, not overwhelming, and though you'll get a little sweaty, you won't scratch your tongue off in pain. The coating and flavoring is better here than I had last year in Nashville itself. The chicken and waffles is served with a small branded glass container of maple syrup on the side. An extra bottle is $2.50 and should be considered if you like your waffle extra-mapley. It's a round waffle topped with two large pieces of chicken that you get. The sweet tea is straight from the south. As I was raised in Texas, this took me way back in time and was so delicious, we bought a gallon ($4.99) to take home with us. Best breaded chicken I've had in Utah in years. I'm lucky it's close to home because I'll be back. To warn people, this is NOT a fast food restaurant. Saturday is nice and busy and they just didn't have enough kitchen help. Granted, this was and $83 order and it took about 30 minutes. It seems if they want to compete in the fast food business they need to shave %50 off of their prep time. Normally I give mr. Charlie's chicken 5 stars but the last 2 times I've ordered to go and the 6 piece only had 4 piece. So my recommendation is to double check your order before leaving. I've been twice and really like it. They're quick, and the food is pretty high quality. They have lots of sauce options; I just wish they didn't charge extra for them (I'm someone who likes one of every kind). When I first went with one of my colleagues, the service wasn't awesome. The lady helping him was distracted and not friendly. The lady helping me seemed rushed even though there wasn't a line. I know they were still new and probably still ironing things out or not fully staffed. Thankfully our food was ready pretty quick, and the inside of their restaurant was clean with lots of places to sit, even at busy lunch time. I ordered to go another time more recently, and my food was ready to go, and good as usual. I think this place is solid.
