However, Ammon's was right down the road from my hotel, so I figured I would give it a shot. The presentation on the outside reflects what you are going to find on the inside... a no-nonsense eating establishment with tables and chairs, a couple of TV's for sporting events, and a kitchen putting out your standard Southern home cooking. The special of the day had already sold out, along with a couple of other items on the menu, so I went for the flounder and chips. The fish was done fine, and the chips were alright. Nothing really to write home about, but it was definitely edible and filled me up, and for the price it was a fair deal. The staff were nice enough, no issues there, but really I got exactly what I was expecting with a place like this.

Nothing tasted like it should have and I'm thoroughly dissatisfied. The piece of chicken was so bland and stringy that I wound up giving half of it to my dog. At least she liked it. Will I ever order delivery from Chick-fil-A again? No. Will I even go back there after years away after this experience? No. Frankly, I would advise folks to try the KFC chicken sandwich. Much, much better. And if you're going to offer delivery through DoorDash or Instacart, at least let the drivers put everything in a hot bag to keep it hot like other restaurants offer.

Despite having a ton of locations, Bojangles tastes like authentic southern fried chicken every time.
