ok ok, not one of my favorite restraunts, but i do like the "original recipe" chicken, but the extra crisp chicken just has too much batter. I had to peel all that skin of just to get to the meat. Nothing to boast and brag about but, thier apple turnovers are nostalgic to me. Nashville Hot Chicken Review. Had to try it. I've had the real deal in Nashville - yes, Prince's and many other iterations. Today, KFC's Nashville Hot Chicken 2 piece, thigh and leg with a biscuit and coleslaw is of course a Nashville knock-off. Extremely greasy, tangy, slightly spicy, messy, and gooey fresh. Biscuit was soaked in the slightly-spicy greasy oil. I l consumed the biscuit on my ride home with guilty pleasure. Chicken was okay; really KFC extra-crispy slathered with adequately-spiced grease but definitely not hot. Coleslaw was less than stellar, sad limp cabbage with uninspired dressing. Just couldn't eat this. I ate every last bit of the chicken and biscuit though. I sort of hated myself in a good way if you know what I mean. Went into a self-induced food coma and napped for an hour afterwards. Would I get this again? Maybe I'll try the tenders someday in the next few months.
