They take care of the cars in their inventory, and even sent me a video of the car prior to my purchase (without my asking) just to show me a bit more of the car than the photos online & Carfax told me. Extremely disappointing experience after the sale. We purchased a Kia Carnival from Kia Santa Maria on July 15 and were told we would receive a $500 military rebate. I started following up about the rebate the very next day, July 16. On July 18, the salesperson confirmed in writing that we would receive a check from Kia and told us he would keep us updated once everything was processed. Since then, I've repeatedly contacted the dealership for updates. I was told several times that the salesperson was checking with finance/back office. On August 5, I was told the check had not arrived and that he would follow up with the back office. On August 19, after more than a month of waiting, I was told they still didn't have it. I've checked in on this at least 10 times in the two months since purchasing the vehicle (all documented). The dealership even had internal notes acknowledging that we had been waiting for the military rebate and asking management/back office to help with the issue. It is now two months later, and we still don't have our $500 rebate or a clear answer about what happened to it. The most frustrating part isn't simply waiting for a rebate. It's having to repeatedly chase the dealership for an answer and receiving essentially the same response over and over: that someone would look into it or follow up. We have been extremely patient and have given them plenty of opportunities to resolve this. We love the vehicle, but the post-sale customer service has been incredibly disappointing. When you're making a major purchase, you expect the dealership to follow through on something they told you you would receive. At this point, we just want a straightforward answer: Was the rebate submitted? Was it issued? Where is the $500 check? And when are we actually going to receive it? I hope management takes this seriously and finally resolves an issue that should never have taken two months to address. read more

I had to have service done on my vehicle. I was quoted out the door one price and then they tried to charge me another price. Please if you deal with them write down your prices so that they don't try to up charge you thankfully I had the prices for everything written down. super unprofessional. I bring my car to the dealership because there is an issue. I should not have to tell them how to do their job. There should be a full assessment done prior to calling the client. Bought my first Kia and I am loving it!!! The dealership was hard to find at first because the sign is not very visible from the street and Google Maps wasn't getting us to the lot. We almost gave up thinking the dealership was no longer in Santa Maria. Thankfully, when we called the dealership directly for help, someone picked up right away. Stevie helped sell me my 2023 Telluride. He was professional and friendly. I appreciated him going above and beyond to make sure the car fit my needs. I recently bought a 2024 Kia Carnival from this dealership. I was told that as a used vehicle, it had undergone a 157 point inspection. Two days after I drove it off the lot, the car broke down and overheated, as the radiator was empty. The washer fluid was also empty. I had to track employees down every step of the way to get help. The car was towed over an hour away back to the dealership, and eventually returned to me with a fresh scratch on the side. I have gone so far as the go through the Better Business Bureau because of the companies lack of response. Don't do business with these people...they are a nightmare to deal with and there is zero personal responsibility. read more

This was the first vehicle my son has tried to buy from a dealership with a loan and his hard earned money for a down payment. At 18 years old, he was wanting to do the process on his own. Kia of Santa Maria took advantage of him, the situation and lied every chance they got. I really did think they would treat him better and give him a good experience. I guess I was expecting way to much out of people these days. My son found a used truck at Kia of Santa Maria. He has been looking for months for a certain truck. Santa Maria is 60 + miles away for us. He drove down to look at the truck and liked it. It was very dirty and had an issue with oil pan and filter. The salesman at Kia asked him to come back the next day and he would have it all cleaned up and fixed. He even calls my son in the middle of the day to say the truck was done. After work he drove back to Santa Maria to find that nothing had been completed. They want him to do some paperwork to start the purchase. He gives them his down payment and gets dinner while he is waiting. When he comes back from dinner he realizes the service department is closed and the truck was not finished. He climbs under the truck and realizes the oil issue was worse than he was told. The truck had been washed while he was at dinner and he is now seeing all the dents, dings and paint issues. He is realizing the salesman and management are not telling the truth so starts to ask more questions. He indicates to the salesman he is not interested in this truck anymore but they can't or won't give him his cash he put down back. The salesman asks him to think about it overnight. My son was set he didn't want the truck and called the salesman to make sure he understands and wants his down payment back. He drives back to Santa Maria for the 3rd time to get his cash and salesman wasn't there, nobody knew anything about backing out of the deal but the items that were promised to be fixed and taken care of were still not done. After going around and around with management he got a note that says he will get a check by the end of the week. read more
