We rented a unit in Parkfairfax managed by this property management company and their "property…read moremanagement" was a disaster. I experienced constant flooding and sewage leaking from the kitchen sinks (yep, 2 sinks), giant sized insects invading our space, decaying floor boards from water damage, 3 years of uninterrupted mold and mildew, the need for a dehumidifier requiring 4 buckets of water to be dumped daily, and the last stray was a bathroom ceiling leaks flooding the unit requiring a 1 month stay in the hotel paid for by my insurance and I still had to pay the rent for my unit. During those 3 years, I suffered terribly from respiratory problems for the first time in my life. No empathy shown by the leasing agent or landlord for the major and myriad inconveniences. Upon returning to the unit in addition to the floor repairs they used substandard contractors to paint the walls. During my stay at the hotel (on my insurance's dime, mind you despite paying the full month's rent DURING it's renovation) I was not notified that the walls would be painted until AFTER the work was done, nor was my artwork removed from the walls prior to painting. The substandard painters merely painted around my artwork. Essentially their substandard painting contractors sealed the damage free adhesive to the walls with the paint making the artwork impossible to remove without damaging the wall. Moreover, the substandard contractors also painted over the back door sealing it shut. Upon move-out, the property management company wanted to penalize me for the damage caused by their own substandard painters shoddy work, since there're still holding on to my security deposit. Avoid renting through this "property management" company at all costs

I do not understand how a unprofessional and rude business owner still survive. When I called in regarding one of her listing, I said I'm from xx company and I have a client who is interesting in her listing. Then she said " why don't you disclose you are an agent? " I have no idea where she comes from and what she mean by not disclosing I'm an agent. If you want to have fun, taste and learn what rude mean in a professional world, she would be your perfect teacher.

Very unprofessional company!…read more So I'm on the hunt for commercial space in Northern VA, and I come across listings by Tysons Realty. I sent Pauline Thompson (who is the owner) an email which was very detailed, and included my contact information. It's been a week now and she hasn't called or emailed me, and today I sent her a follow up email. Pauline responded via email 2 hours later, and her reply (word for word): i answer the phone 24/7 Then a minute later, I check my phone, and noticed a voice mail from Pauline...she said: "got your email, you got mine, so that says I answer my phone 24/7!" Whoa...so you couldn't contact your prospective client a week earlier and just help me? Or give a Hi, sorry, etc. Nothing! The way she's handled this entire process has been completely rude and unprofessional! I'll be looking for another real estate firm to work with going forward.

I would avoid.

I found him after interviewing about 9 firms, and then went with him after speaking with 5 of his references that he provided. He was very transparent when I first connected him and he would quickly answer questions about his management style, company and staffing profile. Perhaps the worst part about Edward is that its hard to find anything negative about him (LOL). He's just the most even keeled person I've ever dealt with... He deals with everything in a calm, paced manner. He's definitely not pushy, and treats everyone with respect, and has the gray matter to anticipate and work through problems before embers turn into flames (and we've had many embers thrown at us over the years, so he's battle tested at this stage in my eyes). One example: a few years back, the unit he was managing for us had a heating issue. The parts were on back order (early pandemic related shortage), and without asking, he went through multiple hoops to try to procure the parts needed, and then checked the weather report and because of an upcoming temperature drop he went ahead and provided backup heating device to the tenant to head-off a potential heating emergency before it happens. Lets roll the clock forward: While your mileage may vary, for me, I have had several documented occasions when I sent him an email near midnight and he responds within 3 or 4 minutes afterwards. I think one time I sent him an email way later than that which was meant for the next day, and he immediately responded. IIRC, I scolded him slightly for not prioritizing sleep over a low priority email from me LOL... but that's just how he's wired. His demeanor also extends to how he hires his staff. Again, the people he's brought on seem very even keeled and are active listeners. Also, it appears he's scaling his company in a methodical fashion. When I first spoke to him 5 years ago, I think he had about 200 properties they were managing. I know he's grown beyond this, but I haven't felt any difference in the orchestration of the work. This was a huge problem for me with a previous firm where as they grew, the wheels came off. Also, with his being a registered agent in Maryland, I'm already set on using him if we hit the market for anything. He's also served as an honest sounding board a few times we considered moving on something.

During my year there, the manager never addressed any of my requests for issues with the property. Another time, Weichert sent workmen into the house without notifying me. The workmen unplugged the basement fridge, ruining all the frozen meat and other food I had stored there. When I complained, Weichert refused to take responsibility. When I left, I cleaned the house and made sure it was in good condition. A few weeks afterwards, I get a letter from the manager charging me for things like, "re-caulking the master shower," "deep chemical cleaning" (of what, exactly?), "replacing of light bulbs" (when all the light bulbs were working when I left). These were all either made-up charges or typical wear and tear that a tenant should not be responsible for. Horrible experience, stay the hell away.

There is a clearly posted "NO SOLICITING" sign on my door. They refuse to respect my request for no soliciting, but I'm going to list my home for sale with them? Not happening. Incidentally, the listing he has in my neighborhood took longer to sell (it's actually just "under contract" and not officially sold yet) than any other house listed in this neighborhood in the four years we have lived here. In a neighborhood of million dollar homes, he had to reduce the price of the house twice over a period of several months before it finally went under contract. Houses in this neighborhood usually sell in weeks -- not months. Home sell by owner in here faster than they sold this house (and again, it's not officially sold yet). Flyers? Really? What is this -- 1978?
