He asked if I had any questions and discussed bikes with me for a short time. He was knowledgeable about bikes as well as trails and where to ride. The shop is super clean with everything in it's place, neat and orderly. Quite a few shops I've been in things are piled all over in disarray so this was nice, easy to see what's for sale. There were accessories like locks, bells, seats, tubes plus a good variety of new bikes. The prices seemed really great for a bike shop. I can't write about service but I would definitely bring my bike here and try it if needed. The parking lot and entrance are in the back enter from the side street....easy peasy. I look at this as a great find....love to see bike shops around.

They have a good system with signs reminding you of the rules without sounding judgmental. I came in with a well loved bike needing a serious tune up. Both staff were very friendly and gave my bike a quick look over with specific explanations of what I needed and why. They gave me a price estimate right away; something I truly appreciate. It was a quick turnover so I came back a few days later and staff was just as friendly and helpful as the first visit.

This review is just about the service department in the Orchard Park store - not the sales…read moredepartment. 14 months after buying my bike there it developed an annoying clicking sound on each rotation of the crank and the derailleur was skipping. I live an hour and fifteen minutes away and after 3 trips to Bert's and $184.85 ($130.49, $32.61 and $21.75 paid upfront each time which was weird) both problems were still there so I held off filling out their service survey to give them a chance to get it right. But when I pulled it up, the survey had expired. Anyway, long story short, I took the bike to a local shop who told me the pedals that Bert's put on were "cheesy" and were not installed properly so they sold me new pedals, adjusted the derailleur, fixed a deficiency on the handlebars and charged me $60. The bike runs like new. I'm done with Bert's.

Noah was able to thoroughly review every component of the derailleur and get it aligned and working properly. My road bike is a Fuji SL1.1 with electronic shifting and hydraulic brakes. They give you the tools, space and instruction to do it yourself. The prices can't be beat, by far. They have used or new parts (and take donations of bikes and parts) available in the workshop. I replaced 2 cables, opening one shifter, learning how they work and following how they are attached to the bike. It was a great experience. I had a goofy grin on the whole time. I was ecstatic to finally get down and dirty to the guts of my bike. The place is housed in an old police station with bikes surrounding the entrance, literally hanging around. I highly recommend bringing your used bikes here as donations and using the workshop to repair your bikes. It was so much cooler than just dropping my bike off to be fixed by someone, although they will do that for you, you don't have to do it yourself. It's just a unique option to learn while doing the work yourself.

Initially I had given the owner my target budget, verbally of $300 to $400 to for parts and labor. He never EVEN looked for parts and I recieved no calls, Just his BULLshit excuse he had not looked and no time! After 20 unanswered phone call and messages I said I want my parts back. He had a pissy mental attitude like a scorned little man and really kind of psyhco when I came to get my parts. His shop is a mess and he has NO bikes to sell and I guess would be better going OUT of Business! Nut job and just about threw my frame and wheel at me. The pandemic has ruined his mojo!
