We always load up on clothed for the grand kiddos when we are driving out to visit them in Oregon.

The money you receive is pitiful for what you spent. Estimate what you spent and expect to maybe get 10% of that back. I say stick to buying used clothes here. Don't waste your energy selling here. Donate that clothes to a dear friend that will appreciate it. You'll Save her hundreds. UPDATE 11-26-18 STILL AWFUL Brought in 3 laundry baskets of nice clothes. (I usually give out clothes to friends but decided to use it to pay for clothes for Palomino this time instead.) While they counted things out I Collected uniform clothes to donate to our kids sister school. They were in much need of uniforms. The in store credit they wanted to offer $64, $19 short for the 13 items I found to purchase. I commented that it is pretty sad that I couldn't come in and afford the small pile of used clothes I had accumulated, yet they were getting 3 baskets of clothes. I spoke to every last person in that store that was working comparing the 2 piles and seeing if they would honor a discount or something so I could donate my pile to a needy school. Nothing. They offered nothing. I paid my $19, took my pile in disgust, and will never be back. read more

I have shopped at Kid to Kid many times, and I just shopped there again today. My visit was prompted by their email, advising of their $1 clearance sale. They had lots of great items to choose from, and as always. I ended up with some great items for my grandchildren. The gal that checked me out was Presley, very helpful and friendly. The staff is very helpful! Honestly, the clothing & other items are like new. The condition of the store is much nicer than many retail stores. Have shopped here for a couple of years. The best place to buy name brand clothes, in "like new" condition. I have bought all 4 of my grandchildren's snow clothes & boots there. I wish there was a zero star option for this Kid 2 Kid. While you can find cheap baby and kids stuff here the customer service leaves a lot to be desired. Every time I have brought in items to sell the staff acts like I am bothering them. And don't even think about asking any questions because everyone acts too busy to even make eye contact. Unfortunately, the overall bad attitude seems to start from the top. The times that I have seen the owner in the store she never smiles and looks to be perpetually in a foul mood. If you are looking for a pleasant shopping experience I would NOT recommend this particular location. read more

Here's a secret no one will ever tell you when you become a first time mom. Buy EVERYTHING used for items your baby needs during his first to second year of life because that darn kid will grow out of his clothes so fast that your head will be spinning when the next day he is too big for that six pairs of pants you just bought him the day before. And he will be so unpredictable in what he likes in toys that $100 you just spent on toys you THOUGHT he would spend months playing, he doesn't even acknowlege its existence after 15 minutes. Hence the smartness of shopping at a store like Kid to Kid- buy it, let your kid play with it- then bring it back for consignment. The store is really well organized and most of the items look new. The clothes if not bought on sale can be not so much a bargain because a lot of them are designer brands but if you get to the store on a sale day, then you are in luck! read more

this review was written on 04/13/08. i confused this location for the one on shea...so this review was suppose to be written for the greenway/tatum location. i went here yesterday for the first time and although most resale stores are hit or miss, I REALLY got lucky this time. they had just finished marking down clothing throughout the entire store to 99 cents and had them hanging together on the 99 cent rack. i didn't think twice about it at first, but the friend i was with was rummaging through it and starting pulling out hanger after hanger of adorable onesies, pants, and shirts. usually baby boys' clothing is hard enough to find in stores, but in resale stores the selection tends to really be slim. i ended up buying about 15 items that were all 99 cents and a few 'designer' resale items that included jack and janie and even diesel?! i didn't even realize diesel made baby clothing! i got two pairs of 6mo diesel pants for 8 dollars each! JACKPOT! i spent quite a bit, but walked out with a huge bag of clothing. i won't need clothes for quite a while!! i also picked up an exersaucer that usually goes for $80 brand new. I paid $44 for it at this location. needless to say, i had a really good shopping trip. i think it helps that i was in paradise valley so there were better brands and much more quality items and toys. if it wasn't so far i'd be frequenting this store a lot more often. read more

The people that work here makes shopping here such an unpleasant experience. They know absolutely NOTHING and are your stereotypical desert brain Arizonians. They are the type of people that won't survive outside of Arizona. I needed help with getting a bouncer from the top. Everyone that I asked was so desert brain that they couldn't understand the concept of how to get down something that they put up there. I googled each bouncer to read reviews and see their retail price and saw that one that they were selling actually was recalled due to safety issue. Always do you research before purchasing! As I was leaving another employee asked me about something that I owned and "what brand" that it was. When I told her she was EXTREMELY RUDE and questioning it just because she "never saw it in that color before". She didn't seem like the type that shops Bloomingdales flagship store in NYC so of course she never saw it in that color. They don't sell the complete collection anywhere in Arizona. She did not strike me as somebody that travels much. Probably never even heard of Bloomingdales or knew they sold kids stuff. read more

I've been going to kid to kid to sell my kids clothes since it opened in 2004 in Scottsdale. I loved the fact that it isn't "Consignment." Since that location closed last year I've been forced to go to the Tatum location. What a joke! I hadn't sold clothes in a while and now I know why. You getting pennies for the amount of money you actually spend on clothing. I would rather donate the clothes/items to UMOM or Sunshine Acres where I know kids would benefit from the clothing. I will never go to Kid to Kid again. It's a shame that it has gone downhill over the years. read more

I've both bought and sold here. It's a good place to find cheaper but still good quality items. Sometimes the tags are even still on. We've sold clothes and a toy so far, and bought clothes and toys as well. I usually opt for store credit when I sell since you get more $ that way. The people who work there have been friendly every time I've gone, which is a huge plus for me. There's a little play area with a house and Legos for kids, which is great! I just wish I could find a stand-alone mobile without the rest of the set. Apparently they don't sell them that way though. read more

Perusing the local Goodwill or consignment stores is my guilty pleasure. But not this past Saturday: I went to this location and was gravely disappointed. Not so much in the merchandise but in the customer service or lack thereof. Another customer had bought in some merchandise and while I was looking at it, a sales associate informed me that they still had to price in a haste tone. I confirmed her request and began speaking with the customer to inquire where she had gotten a particular toy. 30 seconds later, I had informed by the sales associate, the STORE MANAGER came to me and in a very rude and loud tone repeated the same thing. I calmly told her that I knew of this and was simply conversing with the customer. She, then, loudly said, "well, I was told that you were digging thru the stuff." Not only did she embarrass me but then the rest of her sales associates treated me with disrespect for the rest of my visit. None the less, I went back today to claim the item in question. It was not priced and nor was it on the floor. When I inquired about the time frame, the sales associate looked at the computer screen the whole time and avoided engaging with me. She then rudely said, It will be ready when it is. Needless to say, this store is crossed off my list. I hope that you have a better experience read more

I was pretty disappointed at the cash offer that I was given for for my baby clothes, maternity clothes (some with tags still on), toys, accessories, etc. All in great condition, no stains, thoroughly laundered and wiped down. I'm talking less than $100 for 5+ tubs overflowing with stuff. I told the employee that it was my first time selling to them and I think that was my mistake. I got ripped off big time. I shopped in there once, and was able to find what I needed for a last minute trip, which was great, but I do have to say that the quality and style of clothing isn't the greatest and it's pretty expensive considering it's a second hand store. Their toys have incomplete/missing pieces and are disgustingly dirty, in my opinion. WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IVE EVER EXPERIENCED!!!!! I have never done this before but this is my second experience with the staff at this store... I have never in my life seen so many employees and only one person handling the register! OMGGGGG STOP WHAT YOU ARE FOLDING AND HANDLE THE LINE THAT WRAPS AROUND THE STORE! I was told 30 min to sort through my items and for me to shop around after 30 min was up I'm told it's going to be an hour! I go to grocery store for that hour come back to wait an additional 30 min!! DO NOT waste your time bringing your children's things in, You can bring a box full of designer clothing and toys in to be told it's worth pennies just for them to turn around and sell the same items for 5-10 dollars per item! I recently found out about this store from a friend who raves about it and granted the only reason why I went was to look for Halloween costumes. They have a fair amount of them. I've bought 4 different ones in the last two weeks for my girls. Today I dropped off a huge bag of clothes and some shoes. A lot of name brand and unworn/new clothing (some with tags) and only received $26 in store credit. I had hoped to get at least $60, but didn't bother to complain as I had already waited over two hours for them to go through my things and had both my kiddos with me. I will not be giving them my clothes in the future. I'm sure if I come back I'll see my girls clothes and shoes on their racks going for $8-$16 possibly more and profiting a couple hundred dollars from the clothes I sold them. I don't know which clothes they planned on "donating", but I hope they follow through and actually donate them. Lesson learned and I should have read all these reviews about selling before doing it myself. read more

This store gave us a gift card for a previous purchase and sale of some clothes we brought. We went in today, Black Friday, to get some deals on their advertised sale. We went to use the gift card and were told we could not use on sale items. This was listed nowhere on the gift card. This was my first time stopping into this location, as I am pregnant with my first little one. I called ahead to see if they were currently accepting consignments or if I needed an appointment, and she said I could just stop in. The woman who met me at the desk was very friendly and helpful to get me signed up with a consignor account. I then took a look around while she went through my things, and actually found some great maternity clothes (and baby clothes, too, if I didn't already have so much from my baby shower)! I went back to the front, they gave me the items they couldn't take (unfortunately they didn't take as much as I would have liked, but I understand they have to be picky), I purchased my items with the help of the small credit I now had from the items they purchased, and was on my way. The whole process was efficient, painless, and I'd say I'll be back. read more

You can tell the owner or whoever runs this place goes thru each item and tries to get the most out of it. I'm curious how much they give people who donate their bags of clothes to them. I've been shopping for years with Kid To Kid Connection and it's wonderful to find clothes for cheap, especially with growing kids! The clothes are neatly hung by age order, so you can do you shopping easily and quickly. You just have to remember that this is a consignment store, so make sure you have the time to wait if you are turning in clothes. read more
